Nice staff. Appealing décor. Food was pretty good. The Mandarin Chicken was kind of sweet, but… well. Mandarin Chicken IS kind of sweet! I appreciated that they asked me if I wanted the dinner plate or the lunch plate. They were also prompt with refills on the pop. Son had noodles and said they were great. The service was an A+ and the food was definitely tasty enough that I wouldn’t mind a second trip.

This was the friendliest place I have been in for a long time, maybe ever! The people there said it was like Cheers but I say it was much better. The food overseen by owner Fun Yi was wonderful It is both Asian and American. I had the Salmon with a teriyaki type sauce and the cheese cake with strawberries. It was all wonderful. I highly recommend this place in a very nice small town west of Boise. Good stopping place if you want to avoid the big city! «Annie» is actually Kim Fun co-owner of the place with her husband. I was told that the ribs are fantastic and they looked it. They had a great singer on Friday evening. Vicki was at the bar, and I can tell you from watching and talking to patrons, her drinks are like doubles anywhere else! Everyone there was great. I would love to go back there if I can.

I ate here with my mother and my wife in June of 2015 after reading some reviews on Unilocal.I think it lives up to its rating– the people, the food, and the atmosphere were great. On this Saturday evening there was live music, yet my party had no problem enjoying our conversation at the same time. My mom had a turkey and avocado sandwich that she really enjoyed. It was served on a croissant. Both she and my wife had the soup of the day, beef with vegetables. It was homemade and really good. I ended up finishing both of theirs and agree it was great soup(they each liked it but don’t eat as much as I do). I had what I think was called«Chinese noodles,» which was a basic ramen-style dish. Although well above«Top Ramen,» the noodles were a little bland to me. Perhaps that’s the nature of the dish(I’m no ramen pro). I had the option of pork or chicken and I chose chicken. The meat appeared to be sliced up cold cuts, which were fine but not phenomenal, and not what I expected. The broth very much reminded me of au jous(sp?) and was probably the best part. I’d come here again for sure, but I’ll likely try something other than the noodles. There appeared to be several other items on the menu I’d like to try. I’m glad to know of this cool, local joint in Caldwell and would recommend others try it!

Since I’m traveling a bit more lately, I’ve taken to trying local places in each place I go. Overall, most all of them have been delicious, and Orphan Annies was no exception. I ordered a dragon ground round which was quite delicious for being a slab of ground beef with onions and mushrooms. Instead of being served with a side of fries or something else, it came with fried rice. Delicious combination, oddly enough. The server(Amanda I believe) was spot on the entire way through. The entire staff seemed to work together better than any place I’ve been. They would get drinks for tables for each other, process the bill for each other, clear tables. It was an interesting dynamic that seems to work perfectly for them. There is only one reason for 4 stars instead of 5… Beer selection. It was limited to about 6 items on draft, nothing else. The bar looked fully stocked, which would have been great if that was something I was getting tonight, but it wasn’t. Out of the 6, the one that sounded good to me at that moment wasn’t available. The other pitfall to it is that the type of beer was listed on the menu for 2 of them, not including the brand name. This implies that they change brands on those types, which seems like an odd choice. Overall, great service, good food. I’d go here again if I’m ever in Caldwell for another work trip.

Always a welcoming atmosphere and great food! We are served quickly, politely and taken care of without being pestered. The food is always top quality with a slight different flare from the usual Chinese food. Seared Ahi or Dragon Steak are things you won’t want to miss!

Great food and atmosphere. Will come back again and again! The Mafa Chicken tastes just like my Mother-in-Laws and the Foo Young is to die for. Cute décor and comfortable seating. The owners are so friendly and sat us right away. Great place to eat in Caldwell!

This had always been a favorite place to go on Sundays after church… Until they closed their doors on Sundays. Gotta have a day off some time, right? It has been close to 10 years since I’ve been here. I can tell you that aside from a few changes in the wait staff, not much has changed. It’s still a nice little restaurant in Caldwell where you are most certainly going to see the owners bringing popcorn to your table and taking drink orders. The food here has not changed, its as good as it was 10 years ago. It’s always been a bit spendy, but quality is never lacking. When thinking back about the history of this place, you cannot help but be amazed at the endurance and resilience the owners have in order to continue to be in business. I remember when the original building burned down and thinking about how sad I was that I wouldn’t get to eat their great food and how worried I was that they may not be back in business. But they are still around, and I’m glad. Caldwell needs more local business owners willing to brave the storms and stick around.

My family loves Orphan Annie’s. When we go out to eat we don’t even need to ask it is already known that we are going to Orphans. My favorites are dragon steak, the beef and broccoli, and the chicken and asparagus stir fry that was a special last time I was there. They also have a live singer or band often. Amazing food and amazing people.

The folks here are real nice. It’s very laid back with an «adult» crowd. You won’t find any backwards hat wearing douche-bags in this ill’ neighborhood bar. The one peculiar thing I noticed was that on Friday the bartenders put post-it notes at each bar stool reserving them for the regulars. Quirky but kind of interesting… The mandarin chicken is excellent as is Apparently, the sauce recipe has been in their family for years. What? Freshly made fresh?! Yep… The Korean beef and salads are very good. Really like this place…

My wife, for a whole year, has been telling me we need to eat here. Well, she finally took me this past weekend, and I was quite impressed with the food. A wide variety of food choices await those that visit Orphan Annie’s. We had a few dishes from the Chinese menu, and I loved every bite. My wife hit the nail on the head when she said the bar has a ‘Cheers’ feel to it. Pretty sure you will like the atmosphere of meeting friends here for a drink.

This golf themed restaurant is an eclectic collision of American and Chinese foods with a beer and wine bar. The food is middle-of-the-road, decent and reasonably priced but nothing to go out of one’s way to try.

Kim and Fun Yee are long time members of the Caldwell-Ontario community. The food is a mix of American and Asian. My personal favorite is Annie’s Special Fried Rice… Nobody make a fried rice… Mandarin Chicken or Mafa Chicken come in a close second. The place is a locals hang out with a porch for summer evening dining. Music on the weekends and a full bar. Simply… Great place to meet people and great food to boot!
