I have patronized this location multiple times and the service from this PARTICULAR Subway team borders on rudeness and lack of POSITIVE attitude. I witnessed a way they treated an ‘overweight woman’ and actually walked out of the store and went directly to Jersey Mike’s down the road. It is a systemic problem at this location – no Smile. No Appreciation. And no customer service. I have previously given 5 star reviews to other locations – but this Calabassas location is really poor.

Compared to the Subway sandwiches I normally get at home, these were a level above in spite of the same ingredients. It was the fact that the employees are NOT stingy as hell when you select your toppings. Maybe it’s the mentality or maybe the owners are not working here themselves, and therefore are not calculating the cost of the toppings and trying to save money by giving you ONE pathetic spinach leaf/cucumber/tomato slice(then when you ask for more, they add another one of the above). Three employees working at 7−8pm on a Tuesday evening, of various ages(teens, middle aged, etc), they were all generous with the toppings. I asked for extra pickles and she put so much the sandwich would barely close. Thank you, young lady, for actually giving me «extra» pickles. I appreciate you listening! As for the actual store itself — it wasn’t crowded, had maybe 3 – 5 tables, looked clean, and while there was a small line, the workers were very dedicated to making it move along. Maybe it was a fluke, maybe I came on a good day, but I enjoyed my sandwich a little bit more than usual today.

Just had their new guacamole chicken sandwich, foot long. $ 8.50. Not worth it. Sandwich was bland. Had to ask for more side sauces to accommodate. I’ll stuck to my usual chicken club. Rating is for the sandwich only.

I just went in to this Subway for the first time in the evening hours(it’s MY neighborhood store). I walked in and there was no line which was great because I was in a bit of a hurry. There was one employee behind the counter but that’s all I need right? WRONG! She let me stand there while she shuffled around with a huge grimace on her face. So what started as a good mood FORME ended up with me leaving the store in a huff and making damned sure I got her name before I left. Making sandwiches for VIRGINIA must be an excruciating event because she was rude and impatient. I asked her a QUESTIOOOON and I want to apologize for that because it must be a realllly bad offense.(Actually the only reason I would apologize to her is if I found out she was constipated for five long days because that would explain everything!) Bottom line… I was bothering VIRGINIA by stopping in for a sandwich and she let me know it.

They forgot my cookies. They always seem to screw something up. They are the laziest employees. This subway in particular is worse than all the other ones I’ve been too.

The employees seemed annoyed to be working at this Subway and they are bumping(very loudly) techno music.

Always had great service until today. Ordered from my phone as to avoid the lunch line. Went to pick up my sub and did not get acknowledged once. Stood next to the register trying to get someone’s attention for ten minutes until i got irritated and just jumped in the line. I got my sub(which was already made and ready upon my arrival) AFTER people that arrived well after me. That sucked.

Horrible customer service! If subway is considered a fast food restaurant then it should act like one. Every time I go there the service is awful and slow. I just walked out after waiting 15 minutes to be no where near ordering with just two people in front of me. The Mexican sandwich makers need to limit their conversations and get to making food, I’m sorry is that your job or am I paying you to talk my way to eating something fresh.

I love this subway. The staff are very friendly and the food always does«tastes fresh». They accept orders from your app so when I’m in a hurry to go on my lunch break from work, I can just place an order. The only downside to it is that the parking is horrible, but that’s not their fault, I blame Calabasas!

This used to be my regular subway. I used to eat here almost nightly. The staff then was great! I haven’t been back in a few years and dropped in for a quick snack on my way to the valley. I’ll skip all the regular review and get right to the 1 star… The cash register is broken and one of the employees was using a knife on the lock to open and close it. Then when done with one customer he returned the knife to the counter where the rest of the food was being prepared. He then grabbed another knife and did the same thing to the register. He finished with that customer and brought the knife over and used it to cut my bread and the meat in half. I can’t imagine the health code violation. Still unsure why I even ate that sandwich. I don’t think anyone should have to experience that.

I usually go to this Subway during the weekdays around lunch time. Due to the proximity of office buildings in the area it can get VERY busy anywhere around noon. Expect to wait in line for around 10 — 15 during the worst times. However, this place is never understaffed during lunchtime and they run the production line about as efficiently as humanly possible. If you went to any other subway with the same amount of customers you’d be waiting 45 minutes. They get 4 stars in my book for being so fast. Note: Since you’ll be standing in line for at least 10 minutes prior to ordering, figure out what you want BEFORE getting to the front. So many people get up there and make everyone wait even longer because they are still deciding. Oy…

I actually really like this Subway. I’ve never had to wait in line and all the employees are super friendly. It’s convenient and close to the house so when I don’t feel like cooking, it’s my go-to place. My order has never been wrong — but it’s Subway. You’re watching them make your sandwich so if something is wrong, it’s probably more your fault than the employee’s. My only gripe is that I really like the vegetable soup at Subway but this one never serves it. It’s either chicken noodle or cream of broccoli and those are my 2 least favorite.

They’re ALWAYS out of spinach, as a spinach lover this really sucks. This is the closest Subway to where I live and the location is great overall. Service is good, I don’t get hit with a tax on the $ 5 value footlongs like with some other Subways.

I’ve been to this location probably hundreds of times but today will probably be the last. As one of the guys was making my breakfast sandwich some other guy was sticking this thermometer into each meat bin making sure the temperature was correct. Sorry but this is disgusting. I mean, he could have at least waited till I left the store. He left these little holes in the ham, turkey, etc where the thermometer probe had been. People eat this food man! So basically he was sticking the probe into the turkey, then the ham, then the salami, etc. So, if there was some meat residue on the probe it would go into the next meat he checked! Then he did the same thing with the veggies. Sorry again but this is just plain gross.

Dislcaimer: I’ve only visited this Subway location the once, and I have no way to know whether my experience was typical. I hope not. Friday afternoon(10/28/2011), 1PM, and there was quite a line. Much of the crowd was probably drawn by the ongoing five-dollar-footlong offer, which was part of why I was there, too. Seemed like a good reason to try the nearest-to-my-office Subway. Once. Three employees manned the assembly line. The first knew his stuff, in that he could grab and slice bread and stuff it with meats very efficiently quickly. But, IMO, he was much too into the speed of his job and not at all interested in customer service. At one point, I took maybe three seconds to think about which cheese I wanted, and he grumped out a «C’mon! Let’s go!» at me. If I’d’ve been thinking about it at the time, I might have walked out of the store right then. But I didn’t. And so… The next exployee handled the various additions like tomatoes and lettuce and such, but she was very sparing with most of these. My sandwich gathered okay layers of tomato and lettuce under her hands, but bare sprinkles of red onion, cucumber, and olive. I don’t know whether she was stingy herself or just following store policy, but on atop of an already semi-stingy serving of teriyaki chicken from her predecessor, the sad anemic sandwich that made its way into its wrapper was doomed to disappoint most any customer. The third and final employee manning the register was, in contrast, quite amiable, asked whether I would like a drink or chips or anything else, processed the register quickly while happily treating customers like real people. The store could use a few more of this guy. In the end, the sandwich wasn’t *bad*, as its inner components did seem reasonably fresh, if lost within the bread which comprised easily 80−90% of the sandwich, which IMO is very disappointing. Perhaps that’s what I should expect for $ 5. And the store did seem clean and well-kept. But I’ve been to other Subway locations that were less hurried and disappointing(even when mobbed), so… perhaps I just won’t be returning to this one.

This location is better than some of the others. Service is good and the freshness is always there in the food. The only inconsistancy that I have noticed is that when the owner is there, he charges sales tax on the«Food». Just like many of the Subways, they charge you extra for toasting even though they do not tell you untill after they have toasted your sandwich.

Loves it! Lol! The guy that work here is awesome, real cool guy. Other than that it’s clean, fast, food is accurate and fresh and close to the house.
