CLOSED!!! I have been stoping here at this A&W twice a month but it closed in May. Last time I drove by(6÷6÷2014) it was being bulldozed flat. Sorry, but no more draft root beer here anymore.

Ok. if I could give no stars I would. This place looks like a lace that clearly hasnt been properly sanitized in lord knows how long. You would think that A&W beng such a chain would guarantee that it would be a clean environment to eat at right… WRONG! I was violently sick within an hour of leaving the place and im still not completely back to normal 4days later! I shouldve followed my gut instict and turned around when I noticed how unpleasantly hot it was in there and every seat had a tear and dirt all over it. My advice if your by the outlets… RUN! Theres an in and out right next door.

You take a risk eating here. Ate there sunday 4⁄20 at 3:00 and by 8 pm, all 3 members of the group i was with including myself were throwing up. We could keep nothing down, one of us had to go to the hospital for food poisoning. Stay away. I ate there sunday, it is now wednesday, and I still havent fully recovered from their poisonous food!

Let me start by saying the root beer here is 5 stars! Totally different than what you buy in the stores. It is creamy, tasty, and wonderful! It is almost meal in and of itself! Food is 2.5 stars. Nothing special. burgers, fries, hot dogs, chicken tenders, etc. Not great, bot bad… just ok. Would I stop here again? Yes… for the rootbeer! :P Would I stop here again for the food? If it was the only place open

Pretty much your standard fast food burger place. But their real distinction is the root beer floats and of course, the root beer. Most people probably get a good sense of nostalgia when ordering these because they still serve it in a frosted glass mug when you dine inside. It seems the root beer is also refilled upon request from a tap rather than the standard soda fountain dispenser, so you have to go to the counter to request it. They have a new item which are deep fried cheese curds using real Wisconsin cheese. They were not as good as the ones in WI but, interesting if you have never had them. Normally cheese curds are best eaten super piping hot if deep fried so they melt out the gooey cheesiness, or be served cold so you can hear them squeak as you chew them. But these were neither.

A & W’s are few and far between, so I was super-excited to dine in on a recent jaunt to the Cabazon outlets. I tried their cheeseburger, which was just meh… but then I polished down an order of cheese curds — delicious deep fried bites of melty goodness, and washed it down with a root beer float — classic childhood delight. 4 stars for the cheese curds and root beer float — did I mention you can help yourself to free refills of either the diet or the regular root beer?!

Keo was our cashier and she was completely a b*|ch…my sister ordered in front of me and there was no «hello» «hi» or «thank you» She had a ridiculously sour face!!! I never chose this job for you… you did! Take my order and smile and maybe you’re day will better.

Since they do not have any in Arizona, I was super excited to grab a root beer float on my way home from Orange County back to Phoenix. To my surprise, they did not have any root beer!!! Unexceptable!!! That is like KFC running out of chicken or In-n-Out not having burgers. There is no reason that this should ever happen. It should make you wonder about everything else that is going on there. If they can’t keep root beer in the restaurant, they aren’t cleaning or doing anything they are supposed to be either.

Unlike most of the reviews here I actually had a pleasant experience as honestly it is all in what you make it, right? I had the papa burger which I found to be quite delectable compared to most burgers. I thought the meat was cooked to perfection and the condiments especially the sauce really made it pop. Of course I had to get my all time favorite, cheese curds instead of fries and those were fried heaven in each bite! The best part of the meal was getting the root beer as it had an after taste of vanilla for some reason. It made us feel we got a root beer float without the float.=OP Staff wise they were amazing! We laughed as we ordered and they were willing to put up with«100» substitutions from the Mother In Law with laughter and smiles. Haha(man am I glad she never Unilocal). All in all I have been an A&W-er all my life and it tasted now like it did back then which makes reality take a back seat!

One of the last great American drive thrus standing. A & W is an all time American classic company famous for their root beer. They opened their first root beer stand in 1919 and then later opened A and W restaurants or drive thrus that featured their root beer floats on the menus. This is the hardest review I’ve ever written because now I’m craving their chili fries, burgers, and FLOATS! I usually get the diet root beer floats, they’re still so wonderful regardless of the word diet. This location is right by the Morango gas station, I highly recommend popping in here and sipping on a root beer float. It doesn’t get any more American than that.

I wouldn’t call it «wonderful» but this place is pretty good. I came in after the boring shopping at the cabazon premium outlet, and decided to come in for some root beer float like good o’days. Wow, this is legit. Their Vanilla ice cream is so good: P Better than fosselman’s in San Gabriel. So soft, creamy and just about right sweetness with the root beer that I love, chilled mug too if you choose to eat in the store. Their foods are decent too. Among all the fast food around the mall area, this is definitely one of the best.

Way to many flies for my liking. Rude/Disinterested workers, dirty tables and broken equipment about sum up our stop here. The food court in the outlet mall was much cleaner so you might have better luck there.

Guy taking orders was slow and confused. Thank God my friend and I arrived just before the lunch rush as the line was out the door the whole time we were there eating… not so much because there were alot of people, but because the guy at the counter was just really slow and no one came to help him. Fries were meh, BBQ crunch burger was meh, but the rootboor float was off the chain and huge for the price so there is this place’s saving grace.

I didn’t want to eat at Morongo casino so we went here instead. Got the new bacon ranch crunch and it was nasty. I didn’t order mine with hair so why are you including free strand of hair. I spitted out the burger and complained. The guy at the counter was nice and he replaced my burger with a new one. He called me to pick up my burger. I told the guy I didn’t want the burger because I already lost my appetite. If I was the manager, I would come out and apologize. Then I would have someone deliver the burger and return the money. Btw no, I didn’t ask for my money back. I guess they didn’t care about customer service.

Growing up, A & W used to be a treat and something to look forward to. Driving back from Palm Springs, I decided it was time to live that childhood memory. Some memories are meant to be just that… memories. I’ve long outgrown the days of a root beer float and looking back I don’t think I was ever that much of a fan in the first place. Needless to say, I didn’t order one on this visit either. What I went there for was their onion rings. I remember them being so good as a kid, so big and crunchy. Well either my mind isn’t what it used to be or they were never they way I imagined them. They were small and flavorless. Walking in, the place was super crowded with lines coming out the door. To their credit, the staff made the best of a bad situation and tried getting through the lines as quickly as possible. However when I saw my food sitting on the tray for 10 minutes, waiting on my onion rings, I was a little disheartened. I would have thought that the onion rings would have been something that would have been readily available. Again, the food was nothing what I remember. The burger wasn’t hot(could have been because it sat out for so long), my diet root beer was warm and I already mentioned the onion rings. Yes, I ordered a DIET root beer with all my greasy food. Just a preference, not a health choice. I really wanted my son to experience something that I did growing up and he is like«dude…you’re whacked». Next time he can buy his own meal but I can assure you, it won’t be from here.

No frills fast food joint next to the Cabazon outlets and casino. First time in cause I needed a ROOTBEERFLOAT after the traffic from LA! Fast friendly service. Yummy RB float, cheeseburgers similar to a Sonic’s cheeseburger. Minus 1-star for the gross bathrooms though… other than that, not bad at all.

A & W Restaurant is perfectly situated whether you’re finished with outlet shopping or on your way back or to Palm Springs. It’s nothing fancy, but the root beer floats alone are a welcome oasis from the food courts at the nearby outlet and casino. I like the fact that you can substitute root beer floats for any combo meal and that they are served in cold, frosty mugs. It’s the perfect refreshment for the 100+ degree heat here. A & W accepts credit cards, including American Express.

I stopped by their drive through on the way to Morongo casino. I remember they had good soft serve but I was surprised to see they had a new item called Polar Swirls. I got an oreo polar swirl and it was reasonably priced and delicious. Their drive through was a little slow but the employees were all nice and friendly and not what I’d expect from a fast food joint.
