I got the Parker river steak sandwich. Sandwich was good and the fries were even better

Ugh. This place is terrible. Food is bad, service is shaky, décor is dated, and it’s dirty. I don’t know why I even sat down.

Decent meal at a good price. Drinks are made well. Beers on tap are few but generally have one or two local brews that are tasty. The seafood chowder is very good as is the prime rib but they don’t always have it.

I go here every Saturday morning for breakfast, which is always awesome. The service is super, but the food is the real surprise at this unassuming café(which has an attached bar). I recently started coming by for dinner — what a pleasant surprise. I’ve tried a couple of the entrees in the meantime — love the shrimp puttanesca.

We were traveling from Maine to Boston, looking for a place to have lunch, when suddenly there appeared along the highway a sign with small letters alerting us to the Parker River Pub and Grille off the next exit. We barely saw the sign, but I’m so glad we did because this place is excellent! The service is very good and the place is very clean. The food was superb. I had the best wrap I’ve ever had(and I’ve had a lot of wraps): the hot veggie wrap. OMG! Best ever. This place might not look like much on the outside, but inside it’s everything you could ask for.

Went here a little while ago for the first time and thought it was pretty decent. Went back again and was very disappointed. I got the chicken broccoli Alfredo cause last time my husbands Alfredo was really good. It was not good this time, very salty and the chicken was so disgusting I didn’t even eat it. A little overpriced at $ 14. My husband got a pizza which was mediocre but nothing we would get again. The waitress is not very friendly and seems miserable and to top it off, forgot to actually give me my leftovers, probably better off as I would probably blow up with salt retention. Also, the bathroom is disgusting and needs to be cleaned so badly, it just smelled dirty, I felt dirty being in there. Will not be back.

Getting past the pub front and strip mall location, the food was good but the service was fair. The waitress did not seem happy. Would only recommend it in a pinch.

driving from Boston to Maine, needed a late lunch/early dinner spot. This place look sketch outside, but was a family-feeling place inside(unless you want into the bar next door). Nice staff, décor was like a diner. Shrimp crostini was delish! perfect garlic balance, only would have like a bit more. Hubby has spicy chicken wrap, which was good, yummo fries. Overall a good & mellow place to feed your face.

Definitely a diamond in the rough. Casual atmosphere — and please, don’t let the strip mall location put you off — with a gourmet chef who has an incredible way with everything he touches. I don’t know the chef’s background but anyone who cooks like this is either classically trained or a natural genius. The onion soup is fabulous. I love the pecan salad and the black angus sirloin. Hubby loves the mushroom ravioli but I have a mushroom allergy so I have to pass on that. Last time we dined there, they had added the veggie ravioli to the menu and they substituted that for the mushroom and it was fabulous. Things I wish were a little different… I wish for baked potatoes… that would push a near perfect steak over the top. And I wish they would tweak their dessert menu just a bit. A few lighter things and offering ice cream as an option a la carte would be great. Aside from that, you won’t find better food at a Michelin rated restaurant and the prices are fair and family friendly. Everything on the menu is fabulous but the prime rib special is a standout, and the BBQ special they offer in the summer is also fun, tasty, and a real treat.

I agree with the last reviewer, this place looks a little concerning from the outside. The waitstaff was super friendly and the food was good. I really liked the clam chowder it was wonderful. Mom had the spinach salad and had nothing but good things to say about it. Best place along this stretch of road.

Okay you need to get past the corrugated tin front… and the abandoned lot look of the outside. I do recommend you give it a shot though. The outside does not represent the food. To start, we had a salad with sugared pecans, mandarin oranges and baby greens. Dressing could use a tad more maple(little bitter) but the ingredients were all fresh and the size of the salad was enough for three. The onion soup was actually light. No kidding, not heavy or too salty. Dinners consisted of a pan seared scallop with pasta dish, butternut squash raviolis and a tuna melt. Each was just fine though the winner was the pan seared scallops. The scallops were fresh and cooked to perfection. Mushrooms and new peas tossed with the light cream sauce complemented the seafood perfectly. Only thing I would recommend to the chef is to taste his sauces. Some could use a pinch more of one seasoning or a pinch less of another. The place has the potential to be great. Just a little more experimenting. Oh and the tuna melt was perfect.
