The Butler Brighton hot dog shop is undoubtedly the best in the chain. Recognizing & catering to the Butler traditions as far as what is expected for a hot dog place(gravy for the fries & a dill spear) puts them a head above the rest of the chain and immediately made them my favorite place to eat since returning home to Butler after 30 years. Add to that, that the staff is universally cheerful and friendly and that they do an amazing breakfast service in the mornings, and you have the recipe for a terrific experience and meal. In short, it’s a local restaurant experience from a regional chain. This is a testament to the franchise holder and the employees who make it so. I highly recommend it.

Favorite hot dog shoppe! Wait staff is always friendly food is always hot and delicious. The drive thru is well worth the 5−10min wait for fresh hot food. Clean restaurant as well!

Ok, honestly, I was a little thrown when looking for lunch options in Butler. However, this place didn’t disappoint. Got a Brighton dog and fish sandwich. Both were good — the hot dog was actually quite tasty. As for the chili fries, I was a bit disappointed. Fries were soggy — but unless a place takes the time to double dry or leech the starch from the potatoes prior to frying, they’re going to be a soggy mess. I would certainly go back to try the other items on the menu if I’m in town again!

My wife and I have been going here since they opened in Butler, and over the years we have yet to have a negative experience. The staff are always friendly and positive, and since the food is cooked when ordered, its always fresh and delicious. The hot dogs are great, and the chili is awesome. The fries can be topped with gravy, or this awesome cheese sauce that’s pretty creamy and unique. The hamburgers are a bit small and a bit expensive compared to the hot dogs, but they are freshly cooked and are delicious. We have never been able to try the breakfast because the few times we have went during breakfast, the place has been packed. They have some good family deals that allow us to take our two kids out to dinner more often than a typical restaurant. They usually also have some other specials going on such as hot sausage or fish sandwiches. Its all good! Just remember its not really fast food. Everything is cooked when ordered. Its definitely worth the wait though.

Great hot dogs, and the chili and cheese fries are phenomenal! And the manager tonight was outstanding, helping us out above and beyond what might be expected — customer service done right!

Thanks to a Double Take Deal, I made the 40 or so minute drive from my place to check out the offerings at Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe. Totes worth it. The first time I got a variety of hot dogs, a hamburger and gravy fries. The second time I got more hot dogs, gravy fries and cheese fries. The cheese fries were okay, the gravy fries were bomb. The hamburger was passable. But the dogs, oh those sweet loveable dogs! I’ve tried just about every combination they offer or I could think of and have loved every one. My surprise favorite was the kraut and cheese. The service is fast and friendly. Packaging(as my orders were always to go) was carefully done. On my second visit I had a nice chat with the owner who didn’t seem to believe that I drove from the city just for his hot dogs. But I did! Is this the best hot dog I’ve ever had? Probably not. But great service along with a good product at unbelievable prices is definitely worth a try. I don’t think any of the hot dogs were over $ 1.55. And it seems like a great place for families.
