So glad some wonderful local artists told us about Quade’s. It’s on the Wicomico River with a rich historical background of being a General Store on the wharf that served not only fisherman but the passengers who debarked the steamboats that used to come from Baltimore. Several hurricanes later, the store has been moved on shore and is in its 3rd reincarnation. It is now a bar and grille being run by descendents of the original owners. These are delightful, friendly people and know how to cook seafood! Incredible Crab cakes, fried oysters and steamed Shrimp to name a few. You may not get ambience but you will get an amazing view, great food and get to know some really interesting folks

It’s a classic establishment ran by a good few folks. There’s a bar as well as plenty of tables for customers. They also have a small collection of souvenirs for patrons to purchase. We came on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. There was a lunch menu aside the usual bar food menu. We had the shrimp quesadilla, crab balls, and the clam strip basket. I was expecting greasy food, but everything was fried very well and did not leave oily residue on your hands. The quesadilla was full of shrimp and they used pepper jack cheese to give it a kick with the combination of the old bay tortilla. It was pretty good.
