Salon Julette

I’ve never had a salon that I’ve stuck to until
I started going to Salon Julette a couple of years ago. I’ve always had a great experience here. Clean, friendly, decently priced and the ladies are excellent at what they do. I usually get highlights (full or partial foils). Today I tried something different. I showed Heather some pictures of what I was thinking about doing and she took over. Heather was amazing and I was getting compliments from other people in the salon as I left. I would recommend trying this hidden gem out!

I’ve had full foils and haircuts done with both Amber and Amanda. They both turned out excellent! They are experienced colorists and listen to what you want. Their salon is clean, trendy, and conveniently located next to Caribou.

Long story short, I had a full foil highlight from here and the color was so light on my black Asian hair that when the sun hits, it looked like I had blonde highlights!!! Even under normal lighting, it still look light brown. I asked for a mid to dark brown with tint of red and I got light brown! After 6mo-​1 yr when hair grew out, I constantly have to wear hats.
I don’t think this is much fancier than a Fantastic Sams or Great Clips.

I live in Boston so when home visiting my parents I popped into this cute salon on a whim for a fun cut and make up. Kelly did my hair, airbrush makeup and spray tan at this salon and it was great.
Hair: Her wash was fantastic. Never in my life have I had such a great head massage during a wash even at salons I have legitimately paid double the price for. She had to fix a disaster of a job that was previously done to my hair so lots of detail and blending was needed and she took her time and was meticulous. I love my cut! She listened to everything I wanted and didn’t make me feel bad about being particular.
Airbrush Makeup: Kelly knew my color right away and was able to do it quickly but a quality job. It didn’t look too cakey (Although in my opinion most airbrush makeup has a bit of that look to it) What I really liked is how she took her time and set it afterwards. Lots of artists rush through this part and she really didn’t.
Spray Tan: I’ll update after a few days. (That’s the real test!)
Overall the place is clean, comfortable, plays good music, affordable like you wouldn’t believe, good products, fun friendly staff… I wish I lived in town so I could go all the time. I was honestly impressed.

My search for a stylist is over! Had my hair cut and colored by Amber and everything was absolutely perfect. Everything. Ambiance, customer service, quality work, and price. I have worked in several salons so I know what is out there and what the standard should be. I also know how traumatic it can be! Just ask my husband, «She cried for three days,» he tells everyone about my haircut from six months ago. (I’d review that place, but I used to work there so if you want to know, you will have to message me and I will tell you.) Everything exceeded my expectations. I couldn’t be happier. There will be no crying, so my husband is happy too!

I scheduled an appt a month in advance because I had pictures scheduled for a particular day and I wanted to have my hair done for the photos. However, when I realized I never received a confirmation call I called them to verify my appt. They said that they didn’t have me scheduled, and that I never called. They said that my name was no where on their schedule. She kept calling me hun in a very condescending way. Basically they tried to make me feel like I was wrong but I know that I called and talked to some girl who was smacking her gum in phone. So whatever. I did my own hair that day and I won’t be going there in the future. Their loss, not mine.

Wasn’t impressed, sorry. Purchased the Groupon for $ 49 for full highlight only bc you go into other salon’s and the partial foil consists of 4 foils and then you can’t see the highlights in your hair. So I figured I’d do the full and went in asking for my carmel foils. I had a whole head of really dark brown hair with existing carmel highlights. Not only was the girl (Amy) a half hour late for my appt, the service with just the foils and trim took 4 hours. I explained what I wanted and she wasn’t listening and kept saying «I know exactly what we’re going to do and it will be really pretty» bc she was in a hurry bc she was already a half hour running late (during my 4 hour stent she had to have the owner take her male haircut appt bc she was running behind on me too). SO… What I ended up with was much different than what my idea was. I ended up with no dark hair AT ALL and a bunch of orange colored/​carmelish kind of hair. In addition, the greys that I had at my crown were not covered so I have orangey/​carmelish kind of hair with grey roots still. An amazing color 2 months before my wedding that I will now have to correct. In addition, the salon owner may want to think about offering her clients something to drink if she wants to consider her salon «high end» especially while sitting there for 4 hours for what should have been an at best a 2 hour service. The salon was dirty and the décor tacky. When you sit in a chair for 4 hours you have a lot of time to look around at all the crap and it was disgusting. Also, if you plan on buying hair products while you’re there bc you don’t want to stop at Ulta on your way home think again. This salon carries no professional haircare products.

This place has it going on! From the moment that you walk in, you will be impressed! Amazing service! Salon Julette has been the best thing to have ever happened to my boyfriend and I. We came here expecting a generic hair cuttery that we had heard they had decent prices. This place is high class salon quality at a price everyone can afford. I have gone to tons of salons trying to get my thick unmanageable hair fixed so that it lays flat no one could do it NOT EVER. Amy took the time to fix it up beautiful and it is literally the best hair cut I have ever had. I would drive hours to come to this salon. $ 15 for them to cut shampoo and style my hair HELL YES!

Get in and book your appointment soon. This place is bound to be one of the best kept secrets in Burnsville. Where else can you go to a salon quality haircut at a very low price? They also offer additional services like facial waxing. The prices are very low and you get the full salon experience. Hurry while the prices are low.

I hop around different places to get my haircut often because I haven’t found one hairstylist that I really like for the right price. Along with that I get my trims done at just a fantastic sams or great clips because its cheap and fast.
Having a coupon for Salon Julette made me stop in there was no wait she took me in immediately and got down to it what do I want to do. For the price of $ 15.00 I got my hair washed, cut, and blow dried. My stylist was friendly and talked throughout the cut.
At the end of everything my total was just $ 10 because of my coupon and I walked out a happy camper. They just opened not to long ago so I hope business picks up for them considering the price point is right and its a cute local business hidden away in the corner of a strip mall.
