Party City

Made a purchase for an office Halloween party here. About a month later, I was required to turn in receipts for my purchase since they were made on a company credit card. I misplaced the paper receipts and called the store and they totally helped me out in finding my transaction and pulling up receipts from them. I would like to call out «JEN– The store manager» who was incredibly courteous and polite and helped me out with this. I did bother her many times by calling over and over again, but not once did she lose her cool and handled me very professionally. Somebody give this woman a raise. She deserves it. Thank you Jen once again.
I cannot say the same for the Medford branch though. I had the same issue and ‘Catherine’ from the Medford store, probably the most incompetent, inefficient, dishonest and outright spiteful worker would not do anything for me. She had the «Its not my job, so I wont do it» attitude in every sentence she spoke. She is totally computer illiterate which is not all that bad, but she refused to learn something new which is a horrible trait to have in any profession.
She was infact rude and unprofessional with her own counterpart from a different store of Party City. Ultimately «Samantha-​The store manager» from Medford helped me out and I appreciate her for it.

Went for a Halloween costume. Was in and out in 30 minutes. Bought a Licensed Adult Large Spiderman Costume for 34.99. Online it was $ 54.99.
I appreciate that Party City lets you try your costume on before you purchase it. Other stores do not do let you do this.
The prices for costumes seem more reasonable at Party City than they do at other Halloween stores. Don’t get me wrong, they aren’t cheap. I asked the clerk if they had any ongoing promotions or deals. He said they did if you spent more than $ 65.00. That wasn’t happening. I called up a coupon I found online on my phone and they let me use it. It was for $ 5.00 off. You can also check for coupons in their flyer when you walk in.
Everyone I dealt with was very nice and helpful. The only disappointing part was that they were out of some of the costumes I wanted to try on. Other people were asking for costumes that they were out of as well.
I will have to report back on the quality of the costume and how it held up over a long night of getting weird with my friends in the city.

This location was updated in 2013! Looks great from the outside and is organized on the inside. The employees are young but friendly. The parking lot is shared but there are enough spaces for everyone. They do not get a fifth star IMO because their items are overpriced.

Bought a costume here for Halloween. Remind me to come back after Halloween so I don’t get JACKED again on the price like I did this time. ARG.
But — that’s the game — if you buy a costume before Halloween, it’s like $ 40. After, maybe $ 15.
They had a ton of cheap glow-​sticks up at the counter too — all different colors. Like a buck each. Cool. Kids LOVE those things.

What a crappy store. It’s full of the usual party-​store junk and the balloons are old and no fun. I think the manager was eating a Mad Max burger in the back because he was nowhere to be found, unattended children were pocketing candy from the rack, there was a guy ignoring everyone by the cups and plates in the back, and all i could hear was high-​pitched laughing from the back room. Maybe they were inhaling helium or something. I heard them laughing and saying «Joan Rivers» a lot. Whatever — go to a different party store.
