From the phone call to make an appointment to the stellar outcome of my hair, my entire experience at Dani de Paris was fantastic! I’m new to the area so I researched a few hair salons and decided to try this out one per their excellent reviews. I walked in and was greeted with enthusiasm and care and was assigned to Leah. She. Is. Wonderful!!! Leah is a caring and extremely talented hair dresser. I gave her a picture(Pinterest, obv.) and told her that I wanted to look like the girl in the photo. She gave me so many options on red highlights that we ended up with a red/violet/caramelish color throughout my hair and it looks lovely! I truly felt like a princess! Our conversation was great. She paid attention to detail and was a great listener-something you always look for in a hair dresser, or acquaintance in general. The only downside is I wish we did more highlights because I love it so much. But she assured me i could call her up and we can put some more in, whatever I want! I will be returning and highly recommend this salon to anyone in the area. Finding a hair dresser you trust is so important, glad that search for me is over!

CALLINGALLCURLYGIRLS! As many of you can attest, it is tough to find someone who knows how to work with your hair. And once you find someone who can, you are loyal. I have been a devoted customer of this salon for 5+ years now. Tara is the best hairdresser I have ever had. I always go to her because she is an expert in curly hair. She is well-trained in Deva dry cuts. She has never given me a bad cut, I am always pleased with the results. Tara has a great demeanor and is very personable, she treats you like a good friend. You can feel relaxed and confident that you will leave looking fabulous. A Deva cut will run you about $ 50 and is well worth it. I get my haircut 3 – 4 times a year and it grows out great.

As upset as I was when I saw my haircut by Elisa right away, I simply broke into tears when I got home and looked into the mirror at the back of my haircut. She is very friendly but did cut my hair exactly the way I asked her not to. I have been growing my hair for 6 months before I decided that now I can have layers and a little trim done. I asked to make sure that she does not take off too much, does layers and does not cut my hair upfront too short compared to the back, but rather smoothes it out starting at the bangs length and making it flow into the back hair keeping almost the same length throughout, from front to the back. NO V-CUT! I ended up with my hair upfront barely reaching my shoulders. But when I turn around I have a sharp V-cut with my hair reaching my shoulder blades. If I do not turn around not one will know that my hair is actually long. However, I have to leave couple of starts to the owner who was extremely nice and did not charge me for this horrible haircut and lost 6 months of hair length growth. I appreciate it but I advise stylist to tell clients if he/she does not know how to cut the hair based on clients’ demands. Maybe also have some magazines ready to show how she can cut the hair before she does it.

I just realized that completely forgot to write a review about this place!!! After thinking I had such a wonderful experience at a different salon, and later realizing how TRASHED my hair actually was, I decided to go here based on the rave reviews(I am also back in my hometown as well). I had Leah as a stylist, and she gave an AMAZING consultation, and the best part about it, she was honest!!! There are so many stylists out there that lie just to get you to spend more money, i.e. highlighting(frying) already over processed hair. I needed her help, so I asked her recommendations, and what she would do to save my fried and straw like hair. I had long hair… sigh…and it needed to be chopped off, I told her to just cut off as much as she needed to, and she did, but I still had decent length to my hair as well. And she gave me an all around excellent hair cut besides, you can really tell that she knows what she’s doing. She then recommended that I go back to my roots, literally, and I was totally up for that(I am a natural brunette and had blond highlights at the time). So she touched up my roots and then did the«keratin 24 hours express blowout,» I have never had that done before but I knew about the original keratin treatment. With this one, she painted it on your hair like you would if you were applying color, and then it is blow dried into the hair, and then flat ironed in to seal it. You wait 24 hours and then wash with sulfate free shampoo and conditioner… Let me tell you something… my hair has never ever ever looked so good!!! It was sleek, shiny, smooth, frizz free, and soft. No need for a round brush or straightener anymore!!! And I could still do my hair curly if I wanted to. It was the best thing EVER, and I will continue to do again… Plus it’s going on close to 4 months now, and my hair is still awesome! I would definitely go to Leah again, she was phenomenal, you have to see her!!!

I live on the South Shore and drive all the way to Burlington just for Añu’s services. She is beyond amazing! Her threading skills are great. I have tried many other people in Boston-proper and the South shore — all are more expensive and don’t even compare to Añu. I don’t even have to tell her what I want — she just knows and does her thing. She also helps newbies feel really comfortable. I talked a friend into getting a bikini wax for the first time, and she was really nervous. Añu made her feel comfortable and not awkward. My friend was really pleased with the experience and said she would even go again! I highly recommend Añu. She is a god-send!

Añu is the best. She really is the Threading Pro. I just started having my eyebrows and lip threaded about a year ago. My sister-in-law introduced me to Añu. I live in East Cambridge and Añu is in Burlington. I went to Añu and had a wonderful experience, but I am the type that likes to go wherever it is convenient when I have time. So, I tried numerous places in and around Boston and Cambridge. I have stopped going anywhere else. I only go to Añu. She knows what she is doing, my eyebrows and lip always look exceptional when I leave, the price is right and Añu is awesome to talk to!

Incredibly amateurish and mediocre. Only worth the price if you use their 25% off online coupon. Otherwise not worth the money. Got my eyebrows threaded today. The girl did not bother to remove the eye pencil I was wearing, did not confirm if I liked the shape before she started threading — and left so many stray hairs that I had to go in with tweezers after I left and clean up what she missed! Bad experience; won’t be back.

Añu is the sweetest, greatest lady you could ever have near your eyebrows with a piece of thread. I had never had anything done to my brows before I met Añu, & although I have a high pain threshold, I wasn’t thrilled about getting waxed. After hours of ferocious googling, I somehow ended up at Añu’s website. What are the odds that she’d be in the area, anyway? ;) So, on one adventurous morning, I woke up & decided to get threaded. I was a little nervous. Like I mentioned above, I DO have a high pain threshold & probably don’t have any reason to be scared of most things… but I’m a big, hypochondriacal baby. Things like shots, piercings/tattoos, bug bites, & routine doctor checkups get me worked up. Thank goodness for Añu, though. She was super nice, caring, & careful. She knew(without me telling her) not to make my brows too thin, since I have a big face… but I’m sure if I asked her to do them thin, she’d probably do a great job accommodating that request. The threading itself doesn’t hurt me. It feels odd, but I wouldn’t classify it as a pain. It’s pretty fast, too. My eyes start watering at the end, but not from crying(happens every time I get them done). But if they were tears, they’d at least be tears of joy from seeing my sexy eyebrows in the mirror. It’s kind of hard to see Añu with my schedule & the distance between us, or else I’d definitely see her more. For three months I was scared to let anybody else near my brows in fear that they’d screw them up. I finally got around to trying somebody else, who did a decent job, but the service you’ll get with Añu is sure to surpass anybody else in the area(in my opinion). My first time going, I was a walk-in. I waited a while for her to come in, but that’s just because she didn’t have any early appointments that day. I’d assume she still takes walk-ins, but it’s always better to make an appointment when you can. Añu charges 12 dollars for threading, but I usually just pay 15. I don’t know if the prices have changed in the past month, just wanted to give you an idea of pricing. :P At the time of this writing, it appears that Añu has joined the staff at a place called MY Salon & Day Spa, in Arlington. I’m not sure if she still works out of Winchester or not, but I recommend her with all of my heart!

Añu Me. That’s how I feel when I leave this place. This is likely due to the fact that this detail-oriented esthetician«threads» off a pound of hair from my furry brow. Mediterranean blood has blessed me with a sunny disposition and hirsutism. Just kidding. I’m not particularly nice or harry. But I am a stickler for good eyebrows. They shouldn’t be arched like that St. Louis monstrosity and they shouldn’t look like train tracks across your forehead… well at least they shouldn’t look like that on me. She sizes up your face… then begins the painful journey toward the promised land of face-framing brows. I say painful cause I am a baby. Pain makes me frown. And by frown I mean swear. loudly. She puts up with me, and my inferior pain tolerance, on par with my saint-like boyfriend. Which is admirable. The only unfortunate thing about getting here is the location… takes me 30+ minutes by car. But that’s my fault. I should really be taking the jet.

I second the previous review! Añu is so easygoing & pleasant. The threading process may sting, but it’s super quick & doesn’t cause the redness & sensitivity to your skin that waxing does. I’ll definitely be back!
