This HGI is so great. Before I brag on everything– 1 con: the hallways are too long. Anyway, it is a historic building in the heart of Burlington. Bernie Sanders is from Burlington, VT. We walked everywhere– dinner, waterfront, coffeeshops, everywhere! Valet parking only — valets are super nice. They have nice hipster touches(flashlights, yarn, and other unique art). The flooring was awesome. We also were lucky enough to pick up some Heady Topper from nearby places. Stay here!

No complaints. Really a lovely stay. Well appointed room. Nicely decorated restaurant, which is not perhaps the best in BTown, but pleasant service and nice selection. Workout room is pretty typical of nicer hotels. Cardio. Free weights. Decent. The staff, including valets, are just great. And I think that’s probably saying something here where I know hiring is hard. I’d stay again without a doubt.

Hilton Garden Inn Downtown is a nice and beautifully laid out modern hotel right in the heart of Burlington. I love the location and chose it for going to a show at the Flynn Theater. Front desk staff is nice and friendly. Checking in was very easy and no hassles. We checked in later. The room was spacious and nicely close to the alternate exit on Saint Paul Street. My biggest problem? No heat! In fact, the heat pump system set up in the room just blew cold air all night. I called the front desk the next morning and they said we’d have to switch rooms for the next night and may not get the same size bed. I said we might be back that night. They did call later saying it was fixed. I like the response but I was very disappointed to see a brand new hotel have such«old school» issues! Maybe I’ll try them again sometime and update my review but not a good first impression over this problem. Also, don’t expect a free breakfast like other Hiltons. I’m guessing it’s a Garden chain thing.

This is a great new hotel in Burlington, VT. I have stayed in the area a number of times, and this is my favorite place to stay. The building is a remodeled armory and has some really cool architecture. It is not directly on the water, but from what I hear you can see water from some rooms. The rooms were new and very clean. The rooms at this hotel have Keurig machines with a variety of coffee choices which is nice. One of my favorite parts is that it is an all valet facility. The valet is reasonable, and they were very quick about getting my car in the morning. This hotel is definitely in close proximity to a ton of dining options. I walked to a number of restaurants while I was there that were only a few blocks away. I also ate dinner at the hotel one night, and it was good. The service was a little slow, but responsive to any requests that I had. Highly recommend!

Brand new hotel up near Church Street, stayed in lake view suite. Room was non distinct, almost motel quality except for shower in bedroom bath. Lake/mountian view was sub-par as compared to the Hilton down the street and windows were dirty. Valet-pay parking only(on street parking is a couple of blocks away). No cocktail hour or complimentary breakfast on a $ 300+ room. Front desk staff was 50/50, this might have been a one star review but for a very good associate who overruled an associate and took care of an issue.

I was told when I made my reservation that there was a special discount for the event I was attending in town. Once I checked in, I was formed that they don’t offer discounts during peak season. The front desk manager was rude when discussing this web me. The front desk staff were very pleasant but should have known their policies on discounts. Disappointing, not worth the money.
Very nice hotel and really convenient to both the downtown church street area, as well as the lakefront. Five minute walk in either direction. Or take route 7 straight down to Shelburne to go to the farms and country store. The hotel itself is fresh and new, beds are comfy, and staff is very welcoming. Pool is in the basement and is saltwater. There is no hot tub, but that would be a nice addition. The fitness studio is nicely equipped. Had a less than desirable experience at the bar on Sunday night though– the bartender was a bit clueless as to what to do. They were completely out of their organic ginger beer and root beer that they have on tap. Ordered soup, salad and fries as a snack to split and it took a long time to get our order. The next morning, breakfast was fine, but the guy who takes your order at the breakfast bar window got our orders completely messed up and the service was really slow. The next morning it was a different staff and it was much, much better! I would recommend this hotel, but the restaurant is hit or miss depending on who is working.

We stayed here for a night. I have to say the location of this hotel was phenomenal, it’s very close to the waterfront, Church St, shops and many restaurants. I liked the décor of the hotel and found it to be quite charming. Our room was quite comfortable and the beds were great. Took a peek at the pool, but didn’t go in. It was small, but nice. The valet parking was $ 16, which was not unreasonable.

Popped in after the Bernie ralley and was very excited to see this new space in downtown BTV. This review is for the Armoury bar only, as I was not staying at the hotel(although it is gorgeous and on my radar for future visits). The décor has a warm, inviting modern lodge feel and was a great place to relax with my girlfriends after an intense and exciting ralley. I was famished and ordered the ribeye, which came perfectly executed. Evan our bartender served up some delicious cocktails including a well balanced margarita, a very picky martini(that was me, I am super specific), nice cocktail list but could be a bit more creative. The eye candy behind the bar certainly made our visit a nice one and I look forward to coming back next time I am in B-Town.
