I stayed here for the VLS barristers ball they had in their ballroom which was a great event! I wish that I could say the same about the room we had :/. As soon as we got into the room it was 75 degrees and very humid. We turned the AC on for a hour and a half and nothing happened. Engineering came to the room and said they couldn’t do anything because it was a housewide issue. Not to mention we called down for more towels and they brought up two washcloths and 2 handtowels –_-. They ended up giving us free breakfast and parking for our troubles. However, the only thing that was palatable on the breakfast buffet was the bagels and beverages. We should of stayed at the Marriott.

The room was ok… No hairdryer for my wife which is a big deal for a woman. Went down for dinner with our two children 5 – 8. I asked where do we sit? Oh, at the bar. Yeah, with two kids?! Looked at the menu and had no idea what any of it was other than the obvious. They lost my business simply for not being family friendly. Went down for breakfast the next morning and it was the worst food I’ve ever tried to eat!!! Eggs were runny and soggy, bacon was like it was cooked on the floor somehow, breads were hard as a rock! Very very disappointed for a $ 200 a night room at the hilton I expect the best and this was comparable to staying at motel 6. Save your money!!! Only good was the view and the beds were good.

Great location but not quite as fun if your room does not face the lake. They need a sign to direct you to their parking lot. I sort of found it by accident. I did not try the bar or food. Room was okay but small. Front desk service was pleasant and helpful.

Parking garage is a bit strange, an entire floor is blocked off and they only give you a $ 15 voucher so you could end up paying if you go over. The hotel is nice, just like any other Hilton, clean room, good size bathroom. If you get a room with a water view it’s really pretty! It’s very convenient to shopping and restaurants.

We were here for only one night. My boyfriend has stayed here before, it was my first time. Upon arriving, we were offered a Lake Champlain view room for ½ the normal upgrade fee. We decided to take it. When we walked in the room, not only were we hit by a beautiful view of the lake but also by a smoke smell. Smoke smell that was attempted to be covered up by cologne or room freshener? We didn’t want to stay in the room so we went back down to the front desk. We were given another room without issue a couple doors down. The view truly is amazing. The room was nicely decorated. The location of the hotel is awesome. We walked basically across the street to the boathouse on the lake for a beer. That evening, we walked to all the local bars and restaurants. The parking garage is attached and I believe it is an extra $ 15/day. We are Hilton members and members get an included breakfast. We were lead to a private room, which was a nice touch. However, this breakfast was better in theory than they accomplished in executing it. We left less than satisfied. I didn’t knock our rating for this. I’ll just mention the two big items– We first got ourselves coffee and juice. We set them down on a table we claimed, and as we were turning away to go get the food from the buffet, a server approached and immediately started clearing our coffee. I told him we just put it there and he said he thought we were leaving(?) and so he left it. Upon returning to our table, as I went to take a drink of my coffee, I noticed it had my sugar packet in it(which the server tossed in there when he thought it was trash). I would’ve appreciated him saying what he did and offering me new coffee. We ordered pancakes, which came out with completely doughy, uncooked centers. Obviously we couldn’t finish them. Too bad, when in Vermont, you definitely want to enjoy some maple syrup! I would definitely stay here again. However, I doubt we’d take advantage of the Hilton members free breakfast again. I would rather get good food & service at a local restaurant.

This property STILL requires a 3-night minimum for the 3rd of July fireworks and New Year’s Eve. We fortunately have the newer Hilton Garden Inn Burlington Downtown as an alternative now! Checking in on 03-Jul-15 and surprise, my room is not ready at 15.00. This happens EVERY year and they end up offering a 2nd or 3rd floor room. I suppose the concept of HHonors elite membership is lost on management here. Like I said, glad that I have another option now. Goodbye Hilton Burlington!
