Do not ever go on a late Saturday night! Your waiters will be too busy moving furniture around the restaurant setting up for Sunday’s buffet rather than tending to your table. Slowest. Service. Ever. Not to mention we were seated right next to the kitchen entrance where they were taking furniture to and from. Food is overpriced and mediocre.

This place deserves more than 3 stars, so I had to write a review. If you’re in the area, there is not a lot to choose from so I found myself at this chain restaurant. I wasn’t disappointed. The ribs are awesome, almost as good as ribs I’ve had for twice the price at upscale restaurants. The salads are good, but get your dressing on the side because they definitely do not skimp. The service is nice, and prompt. They’re sweet and professional. They have specials all the time so you don’t have to feel bad about throwing back a few cold ones.

My parents and I have been wanting to go to the Sunday brunch at this location in Burlington for quite some time and today the stars were aligned and we were finally successful. It was worth the wait! We thoroughly enjoyed the food, the food options/selection and the service. The price($ 13.95 adult) was comparable to other Sunday brunches we have looked into in the area. Our server, Courtney, was absolutely delightful and provided stellar customer service in the midst of a very busy brunch service. My family and I would highly recommend this location of the Charcoal Grill & Rotisserie for a great Sunday brunch. It was a Sunday well spent… good food, good company and excellent service!

Had the brunch the breakfast food and inlet bar were pretty good. Good selection of pastries and fresh fruits. The Lunch selection were a little slim rotisserie chicken and pizza, wish there would have been at least one other selection.

This place I conveniently located next to the hotel. It has classic American food such as hamburgers, pizza, and etc. when I went there the place was clean and the server was friendly. Overall I would go there again.

Solid four stars here. I expected bar food but the Charcoal Grill is a legitimate restaurant in its own right with a very good menu. Our food was well prepared and our server was efficient and friendly, a nice combination. The portions were fair without being ridiculous. The pricing was good too. I live too far to become a regular, but if this place were within a half hour drive, I would be here often. We enjoyed our visit to Burlington, in part because of our lunch at the Charcoal Grill, and we will be back from time to time.

I gotta say i was a little dissapointed at the least. I used to go here all the time and the food and service was great but the last time i went in to this resturant wasnt that good. The food was okay on most of the times ive been here but this time it was just awful. Our waitress was very nice to us, her manager however, was a real asshole to say the least he literally said right to my face«you are going to have to move we accidently sat you in the wrong section.» I thought okay at first until he brought us to the backroom. There we had to wait longer to get our food and it was also much hotter back there. I was okay with it but still asking us to move just because we were in the wrong section? We had plenty of room where we were but i guess that they have to give the waitresses equal sections especially when they are only paid $ 2,32 an hour and must make all their money off tips. I wont be eating here for some time because of this«mistake».

We went here because we were staying at a nearby hotel. It is overpriced, has mediocre food, and poor service. On our second night we decided to venture a bit further into town and found much better options.

Looks like there hasn’t been any new reviews in a while. Went here earlier this week. Had a burger and boyfriend had a Thai steak and rice bowl. Both were a good value. Had a few beers. Everything is priced right for the quality you get. Nothing was bad, nothing was something I would go back for or could only get there. Our server was friendly and quick. Overall a nice stop if you want to get in and out someplace quick, fill your tummy, and not break the bank.

Every time I est here I feel like my clothes smell like the restaurant smells after leaving. The food here is mediocre, all the usual American fair. Burgers are decent here, but I can only really recommend the appetizers during happy hour. I’ve heard from several soirces that the charcoal grill is preventing other businesses in Burlington from obtaining their liquor license and has been doing so for some time. While it’s not something I can say for sure it wouldn’t surprise me as it’s been infamously hard to get a liquor license in town since they opened. I stopped giving them my service after learning about this.

Service was exceptional, and everyone was very friendly… My only complaint would have to be the fish sandwich, which was alright… The bun was basically like it came out of the bag. So cold and like«walmart great value bun» taste. The fish itself was okay, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the cheese on it. I also ordered a glass of strawberry lemonade, definitely tasted like Kool-Aid. Wasn’t good… Now my friend ordered a pizza, which definitely looked and tasted better than mine. So it’s possible if you avoid the fish you’ll be okay.

Great sports bar atmosphere, friendly wait staff, excellent food and all at a decent price. The Baby Back BBQ Ribs are at the top of my list for best ever. I was disappointed we could not return for the Sunday Buffet brunch. This place is a reason to travel to or thru downtown Burlington.

While staying at the Hampton Inn across the road I enjoyed great food and a good drink here. Very pole staff, friendly manger that was working the floor the entire time. Highly recommend. The hotel recommended an Italian restaurant where I learned customer service was horrible and unfriendly. Glad I made the decision to go somewhere else.

I have been here many times. They have some good specials during the week but the service is spotty and the food is typical of a chain restaurant.

There is nothing FRESH about this place. Or clean for that matter, if you walk into the bar area, just look up at the ceiling tiles, you’ll promptly walk out of the place. It’s gross. Food is all standard frozen crap and stuff out of the Sysco foods delivery mega can-o-crap. Yes they do rotisserie chicken, I guess you could consider that fresh, but other than that, no better than cheap diner fare at a not so diner price. The drinks are mostly pre-mix creations that are LOADED with sugars and artificial sweetners… which is fine if they’re $ 3, but they want double that. I realize this little town doesn’t have many options, which is sad. But rather than drop $ 50-$ 75 at this place, go to the store and buy some quality food and cook it yourself. This place doesn’t offer any experience worth the $

Cold food, dry fish, not worth the price. … Well that about sums it up, where’s the good restaurants in Burlington? Coming from Milwaukee there’s really not been any that I can celebrate:^(The Margarita was cheap and decent at least:-) Won’t return for food but maybe for a drink.

Been here a few times now. Love the rotisserie chicken and pizza. But dont really care for the burgers. On Sunday they have a brunch. Tried a lot of the items available on the brunch buffet all bland. I will go back but not for brunch.

Not my favorite place. Food is overpriced for quality. Service and food is inconsistent. I’ve had the ranch chicken sandwich three times, and it was different every time. Burgers were ok at best for the price. Beef was unseasoned and not all that flavorful. The best thing they have is their happy hour and pizza. There is much better pizza in the area.

Burgers are good. Good flavor and a nice size. Bacon was thick and crisp. Also had the ranch chicken sandwich with the pulled rotisserie chicken. The chicken came in nice, large pulled pieces and was very tender and flavorful. Prices are reasonable too.

Let’s face it, we have limited options when it comes to quick-know-what to expect chain restaurants here in Burlington. Because of this, we find ourselves eating at Charcoal Grill more often than I’d like. Usually we end up here by default because we either don’t want to drive outta the zip code, or don’t want to spend a ton of money at a more upscale restaurant for dinner/lunch…whatever. And I know some people detest chains, but they serve a purpose — they are consistent, predictable and affordable. Although I’m never particularly excited to eat here, when we do eat here the food is always good. I know that my usual(chicken tacos) will taste good. And the waitresses are always friendly… always. We have never had an issue with poor service at this location. So, although I’m never excited about this place(sorry, Charcoal Grill! It’s not you, it’s me), I’m gonna go with 4 stars because they have never screwed up my food(even when I do decide to step outta my rut of chicken tacos) and the wait staff is always super friendly and very attentive.
