I was able to sample there gyro combination salad, dish was served with lettuce, red onions, lamb & beef, chicken skewers light vinegarette, and creamy white sauce on the meat. On a whole the dish is perfect as it is, would be better with rice and they do have the option but to try it on the healthier side definitely a must try. They do have several other options, gyro wraps, gyro plates, but on a whole with what I ordered I was satisfied. Next time I see there truck would not mind stopping by and grabbing another of there gyro options Food — **** combo gyro salad — DELICIOUS!!! Price $$ service **** Ambiance — **** soma street food truck, must try if in area

Had the salmon plate — the amount of salmon on the skewer was just 3 small cubes for a $ 12 plate. But given how horrible the taste was I didn’t even finish those 3 pieces. I ended up throwing most of it away. The salmon seemed old and tasteless and I wasn’t going to risk food poisoning. The salad was soaked in dressing and mainly consisted of poor quality tomatoes and a few bits of iceberg lettuce. Fries were okay. The best thing on the platter was the rice, but $ 12 is a lot for a side of rice. Most of the food ended up in the trash and I was starving before ordering. Don’t waste your money here — many other places you can spend $ 12 for lunch and actually be satisfied.

My favorite truck at the SOMA food truck park. Consistently great food and pretty quick also. I particularly recommend the gyro plate. Gyro meat, salad, tzatiki, pita, and rice all together — yum! Also a good value for your money.

first time going to Soma Street Food Park and I’m glad I started with this truck! ordered the combo chicken beef/lamb salad. everything was fresh. I haven’t experience a lot of the meat that«melts in your mouth» but I think the beef/lamb was very tender and flavorful! good thing I had some chicken(which was also good) to balance out my diet. only drawbacks was the dressing was ample, but if I took a bite of salad and portioned the dressing at a good pace it would have not ended up in a pool(rookie mistake). the pita bread(?) was like flatbread, but doesn’t take away from my rating of this eatery. hope to visit this place again!

I was having really bad cravings after the gym for Mediterranean food. Luckily soma street eats had the gyro truck! I ordered the combo salad and I asked the man to only add a dash of hummus to my food. Be prepared to wait a little bit for your food. So when I got my combo salad, I was a little bit sad because he forgot to add a dash of hummus and I didn’t want to bother him about something so petty. Plus he also had a lot more customers ordering. Working by yourself esp working the register and cooking/preparing the food is hard work. But into the food, The gyro meats were really good, the salad was fresh but a little bit over dressed. The chicken kebab was reallly good. The pita isn’t freshy baked but it was toasted. So when I was almost done eating with my salad I see a man running towards my table. It was the man from the gyro truck! And he had told me that I had forgotten my hummus, and he gave me a big order of hummus and extra pita bread on the house! When I only wanted a dash of hummus on my salad. He made the effort to find me around the soma street eats area. Excellent customer service ! Thank you man from the gyro truck :) I’ll be sure to leave you a fat tip the next time I see you

3÷2÷15: So,… yeah, quick summary: 1.5 to 2-star taste, 1-star value: 1. Gyro Sandwich $ 9: So, the guy in front of me in line sorta harassed the guy taking the order I believe most likely because he was having a bad day and cause he saw the prices posted for very not good-looking food and small portions. He still ended up getting what I got, and seemed to lighten up a bit when he received his food and walked off before tasting it(I thought that was a good sign.) Anyway, yeah, I saw the prices too…($ 5 for flan?, seriously… and $ 5 for baklava???) and also did a double-take. Welp, I got this gyro and it looked decent sized despite their really crappy pictures. And I brought it back to my office to eat… Worst gyro meat I’ve ever had. We’re talking a ½ decade of eating at Daphne’s and probably a couple dozen times eating«real» gyros at full-on nice semi-authentic Greek restaurants. Their meat is like rubber. Lamb? – beef? I dunno, maybe synthesized vegan stuff for all I know. The fries on top were actually pretty good – they flavored them with garlic or something somehow. But unfortunately, I have no idea why they are in the sandwich – doesn’t help the flavor much. I enjoyed them alone. Unfortunately they didn’t give much – maybe ½ as much as McDonald’s small size. Bread’s okay. Of course not homemade or anything, but a little like Daphne’s non-traditional pita bread, which I do prefer to the real thing. Toasted, which was good. BUT – get this: after I finished, pulled in the paper wrapping there was about a whole tablespoon of clear oil! Maybe more. I’ve never seen so much oil leftover outside of KFC’s failed Double Down!!! So, the sandwich, as I said despite the misleading pictures, is actually decently sized. Might be full if you’re average-sized. But… the quality is pretty dang bad. And overall their prices are pretty nuts, though I guess I’ll just leave it at that since I didn’t try the other stuff. 1⁄5. (To the owner: sorry man, just telling you how it is. If you make it higher quality someday, let me know and I’ll try it again and raise the score.) #truck #greek #gyros

Went to the SOMA Food Truck Park with high hopes. I was excited to see what the choices would be. There was little selection but I narrowed it down to Gyros on Wheels. Now I love a good Gyro but this place was awful. There was no seasoning, it was dry and it was filled with French fries. I must have missed the French fry part of the ingredients. I am a very wordy girl and anyone who reads my reviews knows this. But, it was horrible and that is all that I have to say.

I love the chicken skewers, very nicely seasoned. I find the pita’s to be soft and fresh. I really like the gentleman who runs the truck. Very very clean as others have said. Been there three times and happy every time. Based on the prices other food trucks charge I think they are in line to slightly high. I’d be happy if the meat portions were a bit larger but all in all I’m happy and will continue to return!

The Gyro Sandwich had very little beef and lamb but a lot of fries as filler. I feel it was a bit pricey for what was received.
Beef and lamb gyros… Meh. The meat, though tasty, was dry. Sorry. It just wasn’t that good.

I’ve never seen such an immaculate food truck. Like there doesn’t seem to be a speck of dirt. I liked my gyro. Yes there are french fries(BLASPHEMY) but I actually found it to taste pretty good when put together with lamb. Did I mention this placed moved fast? No? The line moved quick even though there were a few group orders. Credit to the cook in the truck turning out hummus and gyros like a mad man. Considering I don’t have many Greek food options during the lunch hour I would line up here first.

Had the chicken sandwich, similar to a schwarma with fries on top. It had a nice amount of chicken but a little under seasoned. The guys were awesome tho. Super friendly. The let us try the stewed chicken and it was really good. Next time I’m ordering that.

Experienced the food truck at the Soma food truck stop. It was ok. Ordered the chicken plate. The chicken was cooked good, but taste was average. Glad I tried, but another food truck to try.

I keep see-sawing back & forth… Buttery rice – good. Cold, unseasoned fries – bad. Ample portion of chicken – good. Slightly overcooked chicken – kind of bad(I could live with it.) Crisp salad w/a tasty dressing – good. Tough pita w/no flavor – bad. I’m could get whiplash debating the pros & cons of my chicken kebab meal from Wednesday afternoon, so we’ll call it an even three stars. The tie-breaker: I’m not thrilled about spending $ 11& waiting 15 minutes(when there was no line) for three-star food. There are better food truck options for cheaper. A lukewarm A-OK.

I am trying to bring sanity to all these 4 star reviews. Are you kidding me! This food truck sucks a$$. Since when dry overpriced gyros are considered good? Come on guys, let’s weed these bad food trucks out. The food truck scene is getting so bad that everytime I go to Soma food park and I want to try a new food truck, I regret it. Where are you Chairman Bao and Sr Sisig, where are you?

Training wheels. Food and service and service don’t need them. Food: Outstanding chicken. Served either as a() kebab or(x) in a pita. Freshly roasted. Full of flavor. Reminds me why I don’t cook much. Service: Accommodating(hummus swapped for tahini). Efficient(less than ten minutes from order to delivery). Friendly. Just an expensive ride for a pita sandwich. For $ 8 would have expected a larger lavash wrap. Pricing keeps three star training wheels on.

Not much information is available out there on where these guys are from. I usually try and put in the information of the home base instead of where I found them. Since I couldn’t do that I can say I tried them at the Hiller Aviation Museum wed food truck event. They ran out of Gyros by the time I got there but I have to say the chicken kabob was pretty good and that’s usually never my number one choice. Comes with rice, salad and bread but the kabob is the star here. If anyone has any info they can add to this please do because I know next to nothing about the operation.
