This truck travels around El Camino. I ordered a regular burrito while my brother ordered the super. $ 6 for regular and $ 7 super. Both of us agree this place was not popping. Value is non existent. There was a ton of rice and beans in the burrito. Which was already small. The amount of meat was pitiful. The salsa was also crappy. Not lot of flavor. If you want a burrito fix and nowhere else is close. This can work if you are super hungry and can’t wait. Otherwise I’d suggest you avoid this place.

You can always find the truck Acroos Midas or Next to the Hotel Everyday. Chaparito always serves it right. Good tacos great service.

Good tacos, good service. Exceeds the expectations of a cheap taco truck by far, and everything is pretty high quality and well maintained. Really great for whenever you’re hungry for quick, cheap, but high quality Mexican food!

This place is the bomb. Really good Mexican food made the way you like it with exceptionally helpful staff. Also, they can make your food killer spicy — kudos. I take one star off as its way pricey as you could pay for the same at a sit-down place.

This is a review for the el ranchito in the parking lot on magnolia. Always good… carnitas tacos. Try one for only one dollar… watch out for the jalapeño carrot slices. Muy picante!

Never had a bad taco truck taco before. Until today. Al pastor were just a splat of unseasoned meat in a glomp of greasy red sauce. A tiny fleck of cilantro. Too many onions. Hard to get the taste out of my mouth.

My favorite taco truck in San Bruno. I love the carnitas and carne asada. The guys are really nice and friendly..

There are a few taco trucks on El Camino between 380 and San Mateo Ave. El Ranchito is the best. You can’t go wrong with quesadillas, tacos, or burritos. I usually go with carnitas, which is the best, but I have to switch it up sometimes. The carne asada and chicken are both good. If you go in the morning, they have breakfast burritos which are delish with chorizo. It kills me to spend $ 10 on a burrito in a restaurant when the super burrito at El Ranchito is $ 5 and awesome.

Decent sope. I ordered one sope for $ 2.50 and picked the carne asada. It came out in 5 minutes and had refried beans, lettuce, and cheese. The meat was finely chopped and could’ve been better if there was more meat along with more seasonings. I’ll visit this taco truck again if I’m really craving some quick Mexican food.

Quality of the last few visits have gone down a bit. Corn tortillas and the meat were dry. Maybe I didn’t notice it as much when they drench everything with hot sauce. Cabeza and chicken used to be great but now the meat is either overcooked or dry.

For those of you who are trying to find this truck: This taco truck is now located at the corner of Richmond Drive and Magnolia Ave, in Millbrae! After my Davis 1st taco truck experience, I decided to give this truck a try. 2 Cabeza(beef cheek) and 2 chicken tacos please! $ 4 total. Took less than 10 minutes. Beef cheek is so soft, juicy, and yummy. Love the green guac sauce that was placed on top. The wrap itself wasn’t too dry. Just a tad bit oily… but who cares? It’s not suppose to be good for you anyways :) And that was my lunch. enough said!

Pastor taco was super greasy and had a cumin taste to it. Not bad, but not as good as Ruddy’s Taco Truck. Carnitas taco had a gamey taste to it. Not so good. But, I guess you can’t ask for too much if you’re only paying $ 1/taco.

This is one of the trucks that I go to when I want to eat some authentic tacos. I’m talking straight up meat, cilantro, chopped onions and a splash of hot sauce on corn tortillas. Forget going to the mission for Mexican tacos… look for this truck. We ordered a total of 10 tacos(5 for each of us) and they were damn good. We could have gone to a taqueria but we were craving some good cheap tacos and so there we stood on El Camino awaiting for a plate of mini bites of happiness. Each mouthful was an explosion of fresh, hot food. Just a FYI one of my major pet peeves is luke warm food. The food is definitely hot when you get it…=0) This El Ranchito truck does not disappoint when it comes to flavor. Personal favorite is the lengua. Carne Asada was ok — kind of dry. Carnitas was pretty tasty. Skip the chicken — trust me that was odd looking. If you’re wondering what I mean when I say odd — try imagining little cubes of bright lemon yellow meat. Strange… and to top it off these squares didn’t even taste like chicken. So really just skip the chicken. Oh before I forget to tell you — tacos are a $ 1 each. Seriously how can you go wrong?(well — if you order the chicken, you might — ha ha)

Stop # 3 on the South SF Taco Truck Run. This truck is located just down the street from Ruddy’s on the opposite side of the street on El Camino Real. BTW, it’s nice that these OG mobile food trucks stay in one spot. You can always rely on their location and don’t have to keep checking Twitter or FB to see where each truck is going to be located. Actually, this gourmet food truck boom might be a great thing for the old school taco trucks. People will eventually get tired of following these new trucks around and charging more and more $$$ for their food due to permit fees and whatnot so they will eventually grow more appreciative of the taco trucks that persevered and still serve awesome Mexican food! Anyway… Again, I had lengua and cabeza tacos like I did at the other 2 trucks in the area. This spot definitely had the best tortillas out of the 3(Ruddy’s & La Barca are the other 2). They were warm, crispy, and not too oily. The added texture of the crispiness just complements street tacos so well. Sometimes you need a little more crunch than that of the onions and cilantro. Yum. The cabeza and lengua were good. Both were well seasoned and well cooked. The chile was good but I wish they gave me a little more. I guess I could have asked for it but I took it to my car to eat so i didn’t want to walk back. On that note, the parking situation is tough. I couldn’t imagine what it would be like during a busy TOD like lunch or something. There is a few spots in front and in back of the truck but then you have to fend for yourself to find a close enough spot within walking distance. I’m thinking that in itself would chase away the average passerby that might see this truck, especially with other trucks so close by. Nice nice nice workers here. Very professional and not carrying on with each other and ignoring customers like other trucks I know. They are very worthy of another trip to test other cuts of meat and other vessels to try them on. Try em all.

I am not a big fan for Mexican food but I ate here couple of times in last one month at Brisbane Marina Truck. I usually order Veggie Burrito with hot sauce and it runs for 4 bucks. Its generally nice and I would have given like probably 4 stars. But today’s burrito was horrible. Very less stuffing and no hot sauce at all. I am giving some benefit of doubt bcoz I observed the lady who generally takes order was making burritos inside. I am not sure if she regularly makes them or its a one off incident. Bottom line: Generally food has been clean and good except today where I will call horrible. For today, I regret to choose them over Curry Up Indian truck. Service is average pace. And they should use container rather than bag. Lets see I will visit atleast one more time for my Veggie Burrito before I take away or add an extra star.

The cheapest street tacos you’ll EVER find. I had two chicken and one carne asada and they were delish. Just beware when you state that you’d like everything on them. By everything, it means that they include their signature hot sauce. My mouth paid the price for it, albeit a small one. Still, awesome food at a very low price. It’s hard to come by nowadays.

Another stop along the El Camino taco truck tour :) Once again, $ 1 street tacos are ordered up and delivered quickly. Sampled the al pastor, carnitas and carne asada. All were tasty and served up with a delicious hot sauce. The jury is still out on who has the best taco truck along the El Camino taco belt, but I’m willing to keep putting the tacos to the test to find out ;) Viva la Tour de Taco!

Cheapest(and some of the best) food in San Bruno. $ 1 tacos; I usually get chicken but have tried the beef and carnitas as well. All are fantastic. Sour cream is $.25 extra for each but I don’t care since the tacos are so cheap. (Disclaimer: I have a small appetite) 3 or 4 of those tacos fill me up nicely without putting me to sleep for the rest of the afternoon. I nearly always spring for the coconut drink in the huge blue can($ 2) and would like to try the flan($ 3?) at some point. Yum!
