This is my place to go for some really good chicken. Their sides are just as good minus their green beans. However, you have to plan out when a good time is to go. When they are busy, they are BUSY! The only thing I don’t like it the low light in the restaurants. Other than that, this is my favorite chicken place. Expect to be stuffed afterwards!

I love babes! I have had everything that they offer– fried chicken, chicken tenders, meatloaf, stew, chicken fried chicken, and it is all great, Family style serving really makes you feel like you are around your grandmothers table, getting served up all the sides. The green beans are my favorite, the gravy is creamy delicious, and you cant go wrong with molasses on biscuits!

It was ok. I was told the food was amazing but it was above average food nothing amazing. The chicken fried steak was good but the fried chicken was the best part. Just wish they had a family feast option because I was confused on how this place works. No menu just the options the waitress gives you. At the end I paid $ 100 for 1-chicken fried steak 1-fried chicken 3-lemonade refills And $ 14.99 for four pieces of catfish? That was something I didn’t like. The only thing going for this place is the chicken and endless refills of sides. The food is ok but they need to have an option for a family feast option that way I feel better paying a bill for $ 100 and getting only scraps. But the service was ok. Our waitress kinda sucked but it’s not as bad as other places.

Babe’s Burleson is one of my favorite, and the best restaurant’s I’ve been to. Exceptional staff, fun-loving environment, and amazing food! Feels like you’re at home. Great place for the family! Also, great music! There is usually always a line to get in, but it is more than worth it!

No menu and it’s really simple but very well done — fried chicken, chicken-fried steak, smoked chicken, and fried catfish. They start you out with a big bowl of iceberg lettuce floating in oil and vinegar but it’s worth skipping. The unlimited sides are incredible — green beans, creamed corn, mashed potatoes — but I’m mainly here for the unlimited biscuits and cane syrup. You can take your leftovers home in one of the small plastic sacks hanging nearby. The waitstaff will sing and dance for you from time to time and this location is a little darker and louder than some of the others. We prefer the Granbury location.

I love Babe’s in general and live that each location is unique. The food is really good and the atmosphere is incredible… especially for large groups. You will not go home hungry and more than likely be put into a food coma for several hours after your visit.

Food is excellent! The atmosphere is a little loud and obnoxious and they also don’t manage their seating very well so if you’re going on a holiday like Mother’s Day or on a weekend night plan to get there early. That being said, I have never been disappointed with the food or left hungry! Great place to eat if you have a large appetite or are in the mood for some good home cooking!

I really enjoyed coming in eating at babes chicken, always end up with a happy tummy. The chicken is always very enjoyable and I don’t know what they put in the salad, but it’s awesome!!! One of the best things I love about this place is the unlimited sides. They have corn, green beans, mashed potatoes, fresh warm biscuits, and good old country gravy. I mean, what else do you need folks. Well I’ll tell you what you need, a slightly faster service. The quality of the service is awesome but, when it gets busy the speediness of the service goes out the window. Remember to try a little bit of everything in order to know what you love in the future.

What’s not to love about Babe’s? Fried chicken Fried catfish Chicken fried steak Smoked chicken Take you pick they are all good. Babe’s where we like to dine for family events especially since all you have to do is pick the meat you want everything else served family style. I’m a big fan of mashed potatoes and gravy but I never make it or buy anywhere so I look forward to loading my plate up with it at Babe’s. The other thing you cannot miss is those delicious biscuits, just pour on some honey and you’ll be in biscuit heaven. Babe’s is perfect for large groups and even with 17 we didn’t have to wait long. The service is always with a smile and if you’re lucky you can do the Hokie Pokie, lol. It doesn’t matter which location you go to the service is great and the food is too.

This is some of the best fried chicken and southern cooking you can have in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The original is a must for those looking for a unique dining experience and delicious food. Be warned. You will eat too much, but you will leave happy. This is a great place for big groups, but keep in mind it get’s crowded!

Everything was superb. All the vegetables were amazing and the meats were very good. The fried catfish was also very good. Our server was very helpful.

Last review I left for this place was back in 2014 and I still stick with it. They have the best side dishes and sweet teas! Instead of what I normally get which is Chicken Fried Steak, I got Fried Catfish today and it was amazing! The crunchiness is just right and soft meat that melts in your mouth when you take the first bite. I think the Catfish is my favorite entrée from now on!

When I arrived the hostess was very nice. The girl that called my name, wasn’t friendly at all. My server was very friendly. Alot to look at around the place. Chicken was ok, very crunchy. The green beans were seasoned perfectly, the mashed potatoes were delicious.

A Burleson classic everyone should at least try once. Babe’s is always great for family and those in need of some yummy comfort food. Unlimited sides include rolls, green beans, corn and mashed potatoes so eat up and take your leftover chicken home to eat the next day. Because it is a popular restaurant, there generally is a wait so be prepared to wait or beat the crowds.

Calling this place to see what the wait time was– total effin nightmare. The girl who answered the phone didn’t want to go up front to check the wait time for me. WTH. So when I asked to be transferred to someone who could tell me the wait time, she put me on hold. After a few minutes she came back to tell me that she couldn’t estimate the wait because it could change at any time. Barf. I’m driving from Fort Worth so it’s about equal distance to this location OR the Arlington one. Arlington it is, homie.

This place is great. They give the option to pick your chicken, fried or bbq. Then they bring out a full meal that includes mashed potatoes, green beans, and sweet corn. I thought everything was great. However, some in our party said the food was salty. The server was very attentive to our needs.

Great food and atmosphere as normal. Went at 8pm on Saturday night and there was no wait for a table for 7.

Wow very strange place… 1st time ever coming here after getting a flyer on my car. The waitress seemed annoyed whenever we ask any question. We asked for a menu she rolled her eyes and said there was no menu-they try to repeat everything to us without writing it down, we ordered catfish she brought chicken strips. We didn’t get to choose our sides it came with so much of everything, I felt bad what a waste! They didn’t ask just brought it all to the table. We asked for a to-go box. The waitress instead of getting one or saying anything to us brought out the manager who explained they don’t have to-go boxes but we are welcome to fill up a paper bag. (??? How the sides will leak through the paper bag!?) he then unreluctantly brought me a box. For $ 13 + drink per person I could have made better and less greasy at home, and skipped any judgmental feelings

My family and I came to Babe’s for Easter. We arrived right when they opened in an attempt to beat the crowd and we did! It is VERY dark. I don’t like that. Maybe for Friday and Saturday evening that’s fine but for noon on Easter Sunday? No thanks! You can read other reviews to be in «the know» about everything that is served. This was my third time and each time I have ordered the Chicken Fried Steak. It’s great but not best in the world. The biscuits, mashed potatoes and corn are also GREAT but, again, not best ever. Our biscuits on this occasion were flat and burnt. It was weird and a little disappointing that they would serve something that wasn’t their norm. Also, it’s a little disappointing when everyone at the table orders a different protein and some of the portion sizes are SO different. The fried chicken and chicken fried steak easily feed two people but the catfish and roasted chicken are just a large serving for one person. That can make it tricky when trying to order for many people and considering their prices are based on proteins, you would think it would be more consistent. Finally, the service has never been awesome. It’s mediocre at best. But, a great place to go with a larger party.

I have been to three different Babes and this one is the friendliest! The people that work here are so nice. Even if a waiter is not assigned to your table they will ask you if you need something and bring it to you. During dinner hours there is a huge line but you will get seated in 15 to 20 minutes. The usual reason why there is a huge line is because of huge parties. The food is great but the only thing I’ve tried that I don’t like is the Catfish. I guess it’s not to my taste. I ALSOHATECATSSOMAYBETHAT’S WHY I DONTLIKETHEIRCATFISH ;) no? OK maybe not. Oh and watch out for the hokey pokey song and dance. Have your kids participate.
