I really like this place. It’s inexpensive and they have a lot on the menu. Iced coffees, burgers, and salads, breakfast, etc. the cashiers are some what aloof though. It’s a nice location too. It’s way more spacious than the old location. The food is consistent and always taste great. Takes about 10 mins for them to full fill the order!

I have ordered grilled cheese sandwich in about 5 places in the last month and THIS was the only place that made it right!!! I am spoiled by their pancakes, I can only eat them here. Their waffles too. My sons love the BLTs. And their K-​Ford breakfast sandwiches are the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. Ok I can’t write anymore my mouth is watering too much so I’m heading over there now to get me a K-​Ford!

This is a provisional 3, but I will change it with more visits. Not bad at all, I’ve only had a Reuben the 3 times I’ve been, so I’ll say up front I’ll have to add to this review. Reubens were tasty, if a tad soggy, but Reubens are like that. Fries were forgettable. Would have been a 4 but I think the prices are really high for a deli. It’s kind of an expensive visit for a neighborhood place.

Everything here is so good. The service is fast and the staff is very friendly. So happy it’s right next to my house. I go here all the time for breakfast with my friends!
The pancakes are fluffy and huge and the breakfast platters fill you right up. You won’t be leaving hungry!

We do carryout about once a week and have added S&C to our rotation. So far we haven’t been disappointed. I’m a fan of the Club Sub and my husband likes the New Yorker. The ingredients are fresh, staff is friendly, and food is very good. While fries don’t come with the sandwiches, try them. You won’t be sorry. The portion is generous enough to share.

The same Smith and Clarkson from Annandale, just moved locations. They aren’t closed so please go to their new location! It’s very clean and have maintained the great food they serve. Breakfast is served all day– who doesn’t want breakfast all day? If you are ever in Burke, try their virginian or huge pancakes!

Once located in the Ravensworth shopping center, this deli has moved to Burke, which is in dire need of restaurants that are not fast chains. The deli offers a huge variety of sandwiches, both hot and cold. I adore that they have breakfast offerings such as omelets, waffles, and pancakes all day! They have a daily lunch special as well. This restaurant has wifi, which is a plus. I think there are too many items on the menu so it is hard to be spot on perfection with any of them. I also thought the prices were a bit high. Overall a good spot if you are close by.

I’d like to update that I’ve since been back (like I mentioned in my last review, I’m a glutton…)and am happy to report a one-​star increase! :)
I custom-​ordered the Rick’s Breakfast Burrito (ie., less potato, more eggs, substitute ham with bacon) and the cashier was very pleasant handling my specific requests (especially after I shared that the last time it was wayyy too much potato and she confirmed that’s their standard way of preparing that burrito).
The best part is, the price went down from $ 7.99 to $ 5.99 — and still the same size! Yay! I’ll be back to trying their other items and hope to continue increasing their stars. Hopefully, the owners are heeding the reviews on here.

Ordered the cheese steak sub. It was amazing. However, the service was unbelievably slow. I waited at the register for 10 minutes before I was helped. There were two other people who ordered before me. I spent about 20minutes waiting for my food. I also noticed the lady at the front would not bring people food to their tables. She would make them get up and get it themselves when it was ready. I’ll never come here again unless there is nothing else available at the moment. Spartans Family Restaurant in Burke has better service and a better cheese steak than this place.

This was my first visit to this location. I had a Reuben sandwich and a soft drink. I was not impressed with the sandwich. I was well prepared, and the bread was nicely toasted. The sandwich was relatively flat; the corned beef was not piled high as is the case with NYC deli versions (they cost more too). What was most disappointed was the cheese; it was a yellow cheese and very runny-​it reminded me of cheese whiz or Velveeta. Their fountain soft drinks are Pepsi products, not my favorite. I might be willing to give them another chance next time I’m in the area and looking for a quick sandwich. However, I’ll probably be more likely to try someplace else.

I loved this deli ever since it was in the Ravensworth shopping center. I’m glad they moved to a new location because this one is much better, very clean and spacious! Strategically I think the move was so smart, this shopping center is a lot more lively, like Blake lively kind of lively.
If you’re looking for an alternative to subways (sooooo mainstream) check this place out. It’s so quaint and makes me feel like home. I’ve tried a lot of their sandwiches and I just cannot get enough of them. I literally cannot pick my favorite one because everything is so good and fresh.

I went here based on friends advice. I got the Virginian. UGH! Awful food in my honest opinion. Subway has better sandwiches. Wawa makes a better sandwich. My friend got the patty melt and only ate half. I could barely choke down half and trashed the rest. I hate giving bad reviews to local restaurants, but they need to step it up. Fries and service were the best part.

Awful food and rip off pricing 5.99 for onion rings with barely any on the plate over a dollar per onion ring. Also ordered a phill cheesesteak and it wasn’t filling barley any meat on the sandwich and took over 15 minutes to get the food out. I am high disappointed in this new established in Burke I was looking forward to eating here and having a café in the area

I would give this place a 4 star but it doesn’t deserve one yet. I love the tuna melt but the rest of the food and the service here is subpar which is why it sits at 3 stars. I ordered the chicken tenders since I loved them when they had the braddock rd location. I had THEE worst stomach reaction after eating it. Now I didnt want to blame it on the chicken because I didnt want to believe it, but that was the only thing I had to eat. Smh Its making me second guess on visiting here again.

My family went for lunch today and there was a sign on the counter that said the wait for food would be 20 minutes. We waited for 45 minutes to get our food. When the food came out it was not great my Ruben was $ 9 and came with no sides. My wife got a wrap that had tons of black olives and oddly they were only on one side. Others who were waiting for lunch food got irritated and the kitchen was horribly slow at making lunch food. The breakfast food came out ten times faster!

I was excited to see that a deli had come to Burke. So I went as soon as I could. Little to my surprise boy was I disappointed. Prices were pretty high for what you get.
So kids chicken nugget plate with fries & a drink $ 5.50 though a little high not too bad but I got the Dagwood sandwich and I assumed for the price of $ 8.99 I would get chips & a pickle spear with it. Umm yea nope, I received a sandwich that was all bread, coleslaw, and a few thin slices of pastrami. This was awful. I could have gotten a better sandwich at the 7 – 11 down the strip for that price.
We will not be returning to this establishment and I just hope they either alter their prices or start including chips or something with their sandwiches. Ugh so disappointed.

We’ve loved this place since the Annandale days, We visited their new location in Burke this weekend and even though the food was as good as we remember before the move we feel that it is deserving of the 3 star rating and here is why
1. Waited 45 minutes for 4 plates
2. There was no sitting available
3. There was no hot sauce at the counter
4. Breakfast sausages patties were very salty (only food complain)
We are giving them the benefit of the doubt because it may have been their first weekend and it caught them off guard and were seemingly unprepared for the rush. We will visit again and again until we can provide a 5-​Star review and are as satisfied as we were at the Annandale location.

I’ve missed this place while they moved. And I’m very happy that this new location is MUCH more convenient. They’ve stepped it up a notch with non disposable plates. Fountain drink selection has some pleasantly surprising choices, including no cal Sobe and Diet Mtn Dew.
I was in the mood for one of their delicious subs, but alas, I guess they are still working out reopening links and sub bread not available today. No matter, I also missed their paninis so I had a turkey melt panini. Delicious. Their French fries as yummy as ever, somewhere between steak fries and shoestring fries, with some skin and very potato-​y flavor.
I’ll be back often!

My wife just stopped by for a carry out order. We were excited about having a new deli in Burke. We got a humus wrap and club sandwich. The deli was not overly crowded, but our order took over 30 min.
Food was standard quality. Pretty good. Might try breakfast next time. Will definitely call ahead next time for carry out so we are not standing around for so long. Also, no potato or egg salad. Maybe just working out kinks on 1st day.
