Food is meh. I wouldn’t bother to go out of my way. As for being a good neighbor this place is an epic fail. They have no consideration for the condo complex that shares the alley behind them. Just last night they thought it would be entertaining to run a very loud generator to power wash their restaurant from 9:30 to 11 p.m. on a Wednesday night. Even when asked to please stop, you had no empathy or apology. See you later. I’ll take my business to a place that respects their neighbors.

Wow! This was our first time coming here and I can assure you, we will certainly be back! My boyfriend can’t take MSG and we are always concerned when we go somewhere new. Right on the menu board it clearly says«NOMSG». So that was great news. We ordered chicken teriyaki and gyoza and the chicken curry special. We got it to go and my first thought when we got it was about how heavy the bag was for only 2 meals. When we got home and opened the containers — WOW! I originally thought the weight was only the chicken curry(since curry usually has so much sauce) but NO, it was my chicken meal also. The gyoza AND salad were in separate containers. It came with 5 gyoza and the entire container was full of rice, with strips of chicken teriyaki covering all the rice below it. The chicken curry special had 2 round scoops of rice, and the large section of the container was full to overflowing with chicken curry. I have a big appetite but I definitely couldn’t finish my meal. I finished off the gyoza and maybe half of the teriyaki chicken and rice and I was done, just short of being stuffed. My boyfriend ate all of his and the rest of mine so that is either a testament to how hungry he was or to maybe there being more sauce than substance in the curry. Who knows. I didn’t try his curry but he liked it, and the teriyaki sauce we both liked — the sauce is not too sweet and not too salty, but a tad more on the salty side which is fine to me. He didn’t try the gyoza but I liked them quite well and the dipping sauce had a mild soy sauce and vinegar taste which is my favorite. Another thing to note — the curry special was $ 9.99 and my teriyaki and gyoza was something like $ 8.99? I have gone to several other teriyaki places in the area and I realize that they are mostly similar. The taste of Bamboo Garden isn’t starkly different from any other local teriyaki I have been to. But, for the portion size, price and overall value — it is definitely worth checking out.

I love the teriyaki, and most of the hot dishes like Katsu, vegetable tempura ect are pretty good, I did branch out to try sushi and although the rolls were made fresh I was pretty disappointed with the big chunks of fake crab aka pollock dyed red… I would avoid anything crab, but I might be willing to try some of the salmon or shrimp rolls again, but not likely… just not being real crab, I’d honestly just stick to hot non sushi food.

I have ordered take-out from here several times now. I must say, I have not been disappointed with the quality of the food or the service I have received. The portions are VERY generous and the food itself is incredibly tasty. One of the best in Normandy Park.

I used to love this place but tonight I got a combination beef teriyaki and General Tso’s Chicken. I could tell there was something gross about the chicken right away — initially it tasted like wasabi was on it so I ate a few more bites but it was definitely not ok. Within two hours I have been vomiting and violently sick. I will never eat here again and most likely I will never eat teriyaki again I am so sick and disgusted!

I was in the area and needed to eat and saw this place across from QFC. Nice lady greeted me and ordered the chicken and prawn lunch special for $ 5.99. Cheap and it was good. Free soup and water. Steady stream of customers for lunch came in.

This is my other favorite teriyaki joint in Normandy Park. I can say they serve more food at this location than the Ichi 7 Teriyaki. I also like it because it opens really late at night. However, the restaurant was closed tonight(01÷26÷15), so I don’t know if they only closed early for one night or they have changed the hours of operation without me knowing. Anyway, I’ll be back soon for the combo order of pork, beef, and chicken plus a side order of potstickers!

Worst Mongolian beef I’ve ever had! I was wondering if this food even touched by the wok. I kept hearing the microwave beeping in the kitchen. I can just picture the cook in the kitchen taking orders and placing pre-cooked meals to warm up in the microwave… BEEP! Order up! D–

This is my new favorite teriyaki joint. It’s so close to my house and even though the place I ordered from before is only another 5 minutes away and great I had been missing out for a long time. This place is tucked in the corner of a strip mall in a spot where I believe most people drive by and never pay attention to what might be there, like I did for so long. The meat here is grilled just right.(I can’t stand when I’m served meat that is bland and not browned from the grill because it is most likely stored with a bunch of other meat getting waterlogged. Julia Child told us the neat wont brown if you don’t dry it off) Here your meat is browned with grill marks, and super flavorful, and the teriyaki sauce is great! Each time I’ve come here to pick up a carry out order or eat in, a young girl has taken my order. When I told her I really liked the food she said she would be sure to tell her mother that I said so. Her mother came out to talk to us and it was clear she is very proud of her food and is extremely happy when people enjoy it. She spoke about her sauce like a master who has spent years perfecting and improving it, and it shows. I always order the chicken beef and pork combo so far but look forward to trying other dishes. But the teriyaki is so good it’s hard not to order it. The only negative remark I have is that both my girlfriend and I don’t really like the salad dressing. But I that doesn’t mean other people don’t. I’m leaving now to get food here because writing this review has made my hungry!

Just tried Bamboo Garden for the first time today and it is now our new teriyaki place. We loved it! The chicken and gyoza were very tasty! My daughter really liked the Mongolian beef.

Its a nice quiet place to have lunch. The chicken is cooked well and served with the right amount of sauce. Rice is fresh. It’s good quality food. However, the place can be cleaned up a bit more. Also, there is a little too much on the menu though. Fish n chips and burgers on the menu doesn’t exactly make a whole lot of sense in a teriyaki restaurant. If they cut back on what they add to the menu and spend a little more time on marketing, this place could really blossom.

Good place for teriyaki– friendly and clean. We like the brown rice. Could be a bit more updated for décor. But it is quieter than our last place that was more in the middle of Burien.

I love this restaurant! I come here about once a week. Teriyaki is good. My sister loves the sweet and sour chicken. I am personally a large fan of the short ribs. The portions are pretty big and the price is pretty decent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Good, not great, but it is under new management that seems to be doing a better job. They are another example of too much on the menu(Chinese/Japanese), but they do solid Teriyaki. It is generously portioned and well priced. The lunch specials are well priced($ 6) and you get a lot of food. They are not too heavy on the sauce; they let you add what you need. The meat is well cooked with good char marks. The katsu is well made here. I like that you can get brown rice. The service has always been pleasant and fast.
