I’ve been going here since I was a young girl, delicious and fun food! They sell out of things quickly, and always seem to be busy! Personal Favs: beef and mushroom pie with mashed potatoes, and lots of Sriracha… and a Lamington for dessert!

My husband and I basically had an hour to kill between flights. Meaning. I flew in from Hawaii(family & work) and he flew to Hawaii(work). I chose Australian Pie Company because I figure it’d be fast and I love a small pie of any variety. The place wasn’t that big but that’s ok since they did have a couple of open tables. We ordered our pies, Beef Potato & Cheese(3. 2 for the husband and 1 for the teenager), Beef & Bacon and the spinach roll. All three were great. The beef and bacon was a bit on the over seasoned side but still tasty(because pie. and then bacon). The spinach was a delicious spanikopita stuffed in a buttery flaky puff pastry roll. All in all this was a great pick for fast food. Warm and ready to be eaten and also reheats really well for dinner. I wanted to buy the(americanized) vegemite spread. but it was expired. I’m hoping they removed the expired ones and got new ones. I’ll have to look for it elsewhere. Great find. Will definitely go again.

Really good pies and everyone is nice. They also donate leftovers to the food bank. Great place to eat for lunch, if you are in a hurry or just plain hungry.

Their pies are delicious, however I recently had a very irritating customer service experience that makes me less likely to return. I had a coupon from the 2015 entertainment book and went to buy pies as a treat, but they put a 2014 date on it, so they wouldn’t accept it. I felt more tricked than treated.

Really loved this place. Everything was delicious. If you’re debating getting a lammington… just do it. Seriously. No complaints whatsoever. Sausage rolls are great, pies are great, everything is awesome.

Hot damn!!! I’ve had what people call Aussie Pie’s before but this place is legit!!! I had the beef and potato and a sausage roll. I can say both were awesome! Pricing is good it was a few bucks, the lady behind the counter was super sweet and I had some hot dripping pie and i was rolling in a matter of minutes. Keep Calm and Eat More Pies!

Great pies and sausage rolls! My boyfriend is Australian, so we trek it to Burien at least once a month to get our pie fix(sausage roll fix for me). The sausage rolls are a steal at $ 2.50 each. We’ve been here about half a dozen times and one time, they ran out of sausage rolls, and it wasn’t even close to closing time! It was a tragic day for me. Since then, I’ve always tried to come here before 2pm. They also sell frozen mini pies and sausage rolls(also a steal), but those things seem to sell out more often than the freshly baked goods. The physical shop itself is not special(although they have a nice little assortment of Australian grocery items like Bundaberg ginger beer and Tim Tams). They’ve also thoughtfully provided ketchup(of course! How on Earth are you expected to eat pies without ketchup?) and my faithful friend, dear old sriracha. It looks like they haven’t updated their website in about 7 years, because their website still says that their pies are available at Metropolitan Market in Queen Anne. Lies! I went to the Met Market and they told me that they had not carried Australia Pie Co. pies for at least 7 years(didn’t even know they’d been around that long) and that they’d been trying to get the Pie Company to remove this inaccurate info from their website. Sounds like someone’s web developer ran away… or something. Anyway, the people working the Pie Company counter have always been friendly. P. S. They have a Groupon.

This place is awesome! When I looked it up on Unilocal I was actually expecting a sit down type of place. When I walked in and saw the counter type service I was quite happy because I was STARVING and this means I would get my food super fast. Then I saw the sadness… since I was there later in the day there was a couple of «SOLDOUT» post its on some of the pie options… but that also means it is good food. So I ordered a two pies for myself(they are about 5″ in diameter or so) and two for my friend. Those with two sodas and 2 servings of mash potatoes the total was less than $ 30. Not bad for two people at dinner. Sat down and bit into the pies. and they were amaze-balls!!! AMAZE-BALLS! So good… the filling was super flavorful and the crust was light and flakey. I live WAY north from this spot but I will be returning soon!

Very good pies and pastries! It was very good. Service was great as well. I got a groupon for it but even without it, the price was very reasonable. I tried the rolls, pies, and lamination and everything was delicious! Would definitely come back for sure!

My to go to place when I’m craving for some savory pies. My all time favorite is the beef, potato and cheese. They also have groupon deals online so make sure to check it out(not sure if it’s still available).

I don’t know how these fare compared to other Australian pies, but they’re definitely not as delicious or as high in quality as the savory personal pies at Pie in Seattle. The filling has little meat and it mostly thickened gravy so it stays together. The chicken asparagus pie was better than the beef mushroom. The lamington is worth a try, but forget about the other desserts.

My very first experience for eating an authentic Australian meat pie has been very good. The pie is simple and has a great crust, it’s warm and served fresh. This place has fast serviced very cheap price is about two dollars to five dollars per pie. If you never had an Aussie meat pie I suggest you come here!!! The owner is from Sydney and has an accent and is really friendly!

Stopped by again to a Lamington and apple pastry. Just like last time very tasty. My friend from Sydney who has lived in the states for 14 years now ate with me here last time and said their beef pies were good not the best but good so you have a native stamp of approval.

I’ve been hanging out at the Burien Press next door, but never around meal time. I arranged my schedule last week so that my daughter and I could grab lunch here and we had a fine time. Its a fun place to eat — the food is unique and that’s what gets it the stars. They have Bundaberg ginger beer from Australia and the meat pies. Its quick and inexpensive, I think that the most expensive item was less than $ 4. Neither the crust nor the fillings, we took some home too, were to write home about. The crust was basic, not very flaky and the beef was all ground beef(which may be authentic, I don’t know) but not very savory. Beef and xxxx was basically what was in the pie, maybe a little salt and pepper. Its a great place to grab lunch and sit and watch the traffic go buy or take across the street to the town center park. It wasn’t great enough for me to drive out of my way to Burien for these pies, but it was a fun and different lunch. And you can get frozen pies to take home with you and stock the fridge, too!

Our son is learning all about Australia so we turned our Unilocal Connoisseurs for the best Aussie joint in town. We were not lead astray! We took the cashiers recommendation and ordered the following: * BBQ Chicken Pie * Beef Potato Cheese Pie * Ham and Cheese Roll * Regular Lamington * Lamington with Jam and Cream * Blueberry Cream Puff * Two M&M cookies(that was kiddo choice) All the above came to only $ 17! The pies were fantastic. Crisp flaky crusts on the outside with warm and flavorful insides. The fillings were moist but not the overly saucy kind of pies that make everything ooze out. The perfect consistency that made it easy to eat even without utensils. The lamingtons were delish, springy sponge cake soaked in chocolate and dipped with just the right amount of desiccated coconut. I personally loved the one covered with jam and cream. To top it off our son loved the authentic boomerangs, the Aussie animal signs, and the didgeridoo in the café. We knew we came to the right place when they have an AUS map full of pins of where customers have come from. Definitely on our list to return.

May I recommend to you the beef, potato and cheese! I came in here not expect a whole lot, we ordered the BPC and the another one, I think was spinach and cheese. Both were phenomenal. The BPC alone was warm, nicely seasoned on the beef and potatoes are soft and gooey. The outer crust is has a good crispy texture not too hard or flaky. The spinach too was excellent, I think if we hadn’t ordered the beef/potatoes/cheese, I would be raving about this one and how delicious it was. It was just creamy and full of flavor. tasted like fresh, home-made baked pot pies, baked to perfection. We only intended to eat one and save the other for a plane ride back, but instead we ended up finishing it all, it was too difficult to resist.

The Australian Pie Company specializes in Aussie meat pies, but they sell everything from meat pies to spinach rolls to imported Australian food products(TimTams, golden syrup, etc). I’ve been coming to the APC for years, and after moving to Chicago, I always make it a point to come to Burien for these pies. The APC is located across the street from the Burien Library and City Hall in Olde Burien. There is free, but time-limited, street parking along 152nd. The bakery recently underwent an expansion, which means there is more seating to eat-in. I highly recommend coming early-they sell out of the most popular pies(i.e. beef potato cheese) quickly. You can purchase pies hot and fresh or frozen pies to be baked later. They even offer the baking instructions(much like buying a frozen deep dish pizza at Giordano’s). Overall, the meat pies are the star of the show, with the flaky crusts and the rich and meaty fillings. These are unlike the Banquet chicken pot pies my roommate subsists on. Seriously. In addition to the meat pies, take a look at the cookies, cream puffs, and lamingtons. The lamingtons are cubes of white sponge cake dipped in chocolate and rolled in finely shredded coconut. These are a must-buy and can be thoroughly enjoyed on their own or with a cup of coffee. APC uses Caffe D’Arte. As for the goods, if you’re in the market for British/Australian golden syrup(substitute for corn syrup used in British tea biscuits), then APC has you covered. Overall, this is a gem of a place in South King County that sells incredible edibles and can be a community gathering place! On each of my visits to Seattle, I always introduce a new friend(er, mate) to APC. This time, I’m bringing lamingtons back to Chi-town and sharing.

My wife and I came here for lunch and tried a Beef and Mushroom Pie as well as a Sausage Roll. I enjoyed both. I preferred the sausage roll over the pie, because of the flaky crust of the roll versus the pie crust-like texture of the pie. Both were quite good, though, and good representations of the meat pies and sausage rolls I had when I was in Australia. I’ll be back to try their other pies!
