I come here for their lahmajuns and they’re usually great, especially if you get them right out of the oven. Squeeze a little bit of lemon and poor yourself a cup of tan, and you’ll have a tasty lunch! I have also tried their cheese boregs, they’re nice, a little bit too dry and doughy for me, but it’s a worth a try. The spicy ones and the ones with cheese are good options. The wait is usually short and the staff is kind and friendly. Plenty of parking near the entrance.

Cool little bakery. Definitely small and family oriented. I dont know the name of the item I got but it was fantastic. It was like a large hot pocket with meat and potatoes. Fantastic. Little spice to it but it was definitely good. A solid spot to get a quick bite to eat. Just to relax even. They got all your bakery needs.

This is strictly a to go bakery. No place to sit down and eat. The pastries were so so. they tasted stale. No best by date so I don’t know how long the product had been on the shelves. Potato, beef thingy was ok. Too much dough VS filling.

I only can vouch for their baklava! Amazing! And I ask questions about the flatbreads and the woman was more than accommodating. The baklava made me decide I would go back to try the other goods.

The zaatar and the cheese bureg was ok but don’t even get closer to the desserts and sweets also they need more friendly employees with better customer service. I was there asking few questions as which desserts are good and recommends the lady didn’t even bother herself answering and wasn’t helpful.

I must be missing something or hit them on an off day. Was there at 1:00pm and there was nothing in there but a few boxed pastries. Two very grumpy women sitting. I bought some dried fruit and the woman never once looked at me. The reviews were so good I am very confused. Maybe I’ll try again in the morning sometime.

They have the best lahmajun, super fresh, crunchy and delicious!!! The ladies who work here are very nice also. I like coming here after my workouts to treat myself to their super flavorful baked goodies! Will be back again soon!

Today my aunt took us there and tried to place an order. It has a b rating. She is a regular customer and they know her. The lady was very rude to her and lectured her on how busy they were and that they have nothing and to come back in an hour and we need to order ahead because they have nothing since it’s Saturday. My aunt only asked a question and the lady was incredibly rude. After we went a block down and found another place that was super nice and friendly.

This is such a mom and pop bakery/deli/store. I LOVE the ladies working there. They are charming, helpful, and super spirited. I wanted to try khachapuri, which is why I ended up at Zaatar Factory. It takes about 10 – 15 minutes to bake the khachapuri(I ordered one with two eggs and cheese for about $ 7). While my boyfriend and I waited for our food, I looked around this tiny store. They had some chocolate, rose water, tea, Brazillian coffee, and tons of baked goods(baklava!!). I was excited to find pomegranate molasses.(I love that stuff…) Fifteen minutes later, the said khachapuri finally emerged from the kitchen in the back, and it was MASSIVE. It was hot, cheesy, and delicious with eggs. I would have liked a bit of sauce or some kind of hot sauce, but I really enjoyed my first khachapuri experience. I also got a mushroom, potato and cheese pastry thing to enjoy later. Everything was inexpensive. I’ll definitely go back to try something else.

I moved down the street from this place a few months ago and am so happy I found this place. I always get a Zaatar manaesh with cheese. It’s like a Lebanese pizza with different spices. I would suggest calling ahead to order it because it takes some time to make. It’s more of a to-go bakery/market type place so seating is limited but they have a few tables if you do want to sit. The lady who works there(I think she’s the owner) is so sweet and personable. I haven’t been there in a while because my work schedule conflicts with their hours but It’s worth the wait for amazing manaesh.

This place has been on my radar for quite some time now. Accidentally strolled in here while on the lookout for a lunch place and was blown away by the service and quality. I forgot the lovely lady that helped me out, but she was a gem! So sweet, so nice. So grandma-ish! I got a fresh from the oven Zaatar and cheese that was simply amazing. Dough was just made. Cheese was delicious. And Zaatar was among the best I’ve ever had(only had it a handful of times to be honest). Will most defintiely return!

Everything here is good and cheap! The spicy cheese burek is a pastry filled with this cheesy goodness and spices, too me it’s not spicy at all, but it’s very good! $ 3 The spinach burek has spinach seasoned with lemon and spices. $ 1.50 The lahmajun is what some of us like to call armenian pizza, it’s kind of like a pita bread with crumbled beef. It’s a dollar each or $ 9.95 for 12. Zaatar manaeesh is a thyme bread, another good choice, we ask for it to be rolled up. $ 1.25. It has olives, I just take them out. The sfiha is this bread that has Armenian marinated ground beef and pomegranate, it’s alright. Ashta is a custard with rose water syrup, sooo good. They don’t take orders to go past 3pm so call ahead. Only thing is that they are closed on Mondays.

Grade: A+ I’ve long believed that of all of the peoples to have fallen under the Soviet yoke, the Armenians have shaken off their unfortunate stint in the ol’ U of Soviet Socialist Rs better than any other. But even for the resilient Armenians, the toll of the Soviet period proves heavy. Just look at a sampling of Glendale’s excellent bakeries: The Zaatar Factory. The Lahmajune Factory. The Baklava Factory. For those naming Armenian bakeries, there’s still no escaping the psychic wages of Stalin’s brutal industrialization policies. Once you realize that there’s no metalworks on premises, it becomes immediately apparent that the Zaatar Factory is the real deal. This joint has the best manakish zaatar in town. It’s made to order(unlike most bakeries that bake theirs a few times a day) and is softer than the lips of a KGB honeypot. The cheese boreg, another winner, is among the best in Glendale – which is saying a lot. The stagnation of the manufacturing sector triggered the downfall of the Soviet political system. Marxist-Leninist economics has long been discredited. But who cares? I’m a firm believer in the command economy so long as I can command these factory workers to bake me one of them manakish zaatars when I roll up.

I stopped by for the Khachapuri. They were gone. Order ahead! They take about 20 min to prepare. My husband has been here before, but it was my first time. I was dissapointed that I couldn’t go home with Khachapuri. The lady at the counter was very friendly and funny. I went home with a couple of pastry boxes. Oh my gosh the Lebanese cookies are to die for!

Ever since I first had soujouk at Zait & Zaatar in Anaheim, I’ve been hoping for a worthy successor in LA County. Zaatar Factory’s version — in the form of khachapuri with soujouk, cheese, and egg — comes pretty close! Although I have to say that I preferred the(gasp) vegetarian wrap of zaatar with tomato and olive. It was so simple, but so perfect, just a fresh Mediterranean breeze in every bite. The lady behind the counter is so friendly and cheerful. We bonded over our sugar-loving older relatives and she let me buy only half a box of pistachio sugar-dusted cookies because the full box cost more than the amount of money I had with me. I am sad to report that no one at home really liked the cookies — I think we were expecting them to be dessert and what they were was more of a hearty granola bar. When I ate one for breakfast the next morning, I liked it much better!

Oh my gosh, nooooommmmm. Can this zaatar stuff be any better? Drooool. I ate the warmest, softest zaatar/chili bread combo today(they made it just for meee), and I’m still dreaming about it. They expanded their shop since the last time I’ve been there, and I’m really looking forward to trying out all their stuff. Note that although they sell food and not just bakery stuff, there are no places to sit here. It’s more like a bakery/mini market. ;) If you really want to sit, just make a short trek to a nearby park. :D I’ll be back soon!
