I wish I could leave a review on the food. However, I never even made it that far because the staff was so incredibly rude to me and my friends. They suckered us in with free samples and then proceeded to completely ignore us and our questions(all I wanted to know was what was in one of the d*mn sushi rolls). After trying multiple times for several minutes to get their attention(two of them even made eye contact and then TURNEDTHEIRBACKSONUS), my friend went up and asked. The lady made eye contact, smiled, and then walked away. At that point, we all gave up and went to Wahoo’s next door instead. The food at Wahoo’s was awesome.

Great place. Took #14, teriyaki chicken beef. Portions are huge, enough for two hungry people. Taste was great too. Helen was helping us, asked whether we wanted samples, was super nice, left the place in a good mood. Highly recommend this place, will definitely come back.

This place has either fair or cheap prices, good for your pockets. They sale teriyaki covered foods and sushi. Good customer service.

Tbh, not really sure what all the bad reviews are about. If you’re expecting 5 star quality food there’s an Octopus or Kabuki down the street. For what it is(food court food), it’s really good! My katsu & tempura always comes out crispy and fresh. Plus, they give you such a hearty amount. Ladies behind the counter are super sweet too. So. What’s not to love?

So when wondering along the food court after watching a movie my friend and I decided on this place. Had a test taste and it tasted fine. Ordered the beef & chicken teriyaki plate, went with fried rice instead of white and some noodles, the noodles were not great but good enough. The veggies needed to be steamed a bit more though. Two ladies politely assisting us as well as other people. Very accommodating with extra ice and a few sauces. The beef was good but I enjoyed their chicken more, nice tasty chicken grilled right. Would I come back yea why not, is it the best tasting teriyaki meal I have had, not even but the experience was good.

Got the bento box with free drink for $ 8. The tempora was so fresh and crispy. Delicious!

So, I used to eat here years ago and always got the chicken cutlet bento, it was never fantastic, but it filled me up and came with California rolls and tempura. So I can’t compare it to then, but I came back here on a whim because I was at the mall, and upon seeing the place and the people working there, I should’ve listened to my brain and gut screaming to leave, but I didn’t because nostalgia is a thing… Everyone looked pissed off, boxes thrown about in the back, the«cooks» with dirty, greased up aprons… Eww. I got the food and it looked like it not only had teriyaki sauce poured over everything, but oil and grease, as well… Everything was oozing with oil, especially the tempura, and the rice, while dry on top and not touching anything else, seemed to be immensely greasy on the bottom… HOW? No thanks, go somewhere on San Fernando to eat…

If only my reception was better. The empty stall should have been indication enough but figured they were just the little guy. Well this is more like that one place you don’t want around. Flavorless, soggy, and tough food. They drowned my beef bowl i teriyaki sauce hoping to somehow mask the bad taste. But i learned that sriracha beats teriyaki sauce for taste bud control.

yeessshh! Remember the stereo types of mall food? This place lives up to all those stereo types. Dipping boiled chicken/beef into teriyaki sauce doesn’t make it Teriyaki Chicken/Beef. I say, take the teriyaki dipped chicken they offer you on tooth picks and keep on walking.

I used to work down the street from the mall that Teriyaki Tokyo is in, and despite the myriad of other restaurants in the area I ate lunch here almost every day. The food was great, it was cheap and the people were always very nice. It got to the point where I would walk in and they would start making my meal(I had the Teriyaki plate every day) before I even ordered it. I’d go through the motions of ordering and by the time I paid they already had it boxed up and ready for me. Love these guys.

DONOTEATHERE! Can I give this place zero stars?!? I left screaming at the Korean lady at the register. She was absolutely RUDE! She misunderstood me then immediately started yelling at me. The owners should really train their employees some customer service. But I have a feeling she was the owner. In that case… she should think of a different profession! DONOTEATHERE!!!

Small portions, salmon was dry, chicken was bad, sushi is all rice, service was slow. Definitely worth skipping for any other alternative at the mall.

Was shopping in the mall with my mom and sis and decided to try out Teriyaki Tokyo. None of us took more than 3 bites. The beef I had was so tough that I couldn’t even chew it. It was so bad that I wished I was at Yoshinoya instead. Bad idea that won’t be repeated.

Meh nothing crazy about this place. It is your typical Japanese fast food mall food. I got the chicken teriyaki bowl special which comes with a drink for about $ 6. It was a good amount of food to get you full. If you want a quick bite to eat at the mall give this place a shot.

The teriyaki chicken & beef curry are fantastic! They give you so much food for a very low price. I love this place! fast & friendly service.

Food is terrible. Fried rice is bland soggy and the vegetables are old. Tempura is below average in taste and texture. Tofu is super soggy and everything just tastes like Chinese fastfood. This is Japanese food? I highly recommend to stay away from this place. We ate only half our meals and tossed the rest. we didn’t order the sushi, but i would be cautious. 1 star for very friendly and fast service.

I used to work right next to Teriyaki Toyko(TT) back in my highschool, early college days. I remember the food used to be good. However, I went back to get a quick take-out before a movie and the food is mediocre at best. I am all about maximizing value vs. profit, so I will not go back to this place.

This place used to be great. Now everything is watered down, even the hot sauce. The rice has no flavor and is soggy, teriyaki chicken is freezer burned and the spicy tuna has no spice. The new owners have really killed this place! I miss the Japanese lady who always tried to give you a sample, «you wan sampo?» Yes please! She sucked me in every time.
