Steer clear of this place for anything guitar related.
I went to this store because I needed guitar strings and it was the closest music store to me. The woman, who hardly seemed to care, would not let me finish any of my sentences. She insisted to talk over me without knowing why I had entered the shop. I was not helped at all. I was hardly even listened to. The strangest thing was that they sold more guitar parts than anything and had an entire wall of guitar gear. Now, I play in jazz bands and I will tell you that even if I ever do have a brass instrument in need of repair, I will not take it here, simply because the quality of service was so absolutely horrific, my friend and I were embarrassed.
Ultimately, a waste of my time and I did not purchase the strings despite them selling the exact ones I normally would purchase because I felt my business was not needed.
The last truly remarkable thing was that they had an acoustic guitar in a case as if someone had dropped it off or it was one of theirs, either way, very bizarre.
Definitely never going here again, ever.
Will also be spreading word to my jazz friends and my friends in the LA Phil.

Expert brass repair. This guy is one of the best in the area since Zeps was open years ago in Burbank. This guy did a great great great job! And reasonably priced.

Very great music store! I recently went in to get my clarinet fixed. They are very nice and helps you very well. He had it fixed that same day and I went back to pick it up the next day. I highly recommend this store.
They don’t fix brass, but they’ll send it someplace else for you to get it fixed.

I’ve met Nedra and John a few times walking in to ask them a thousand questions about the musical community here in Burbank and they’ve always taken time out of their busy schedule to give information and constructive advice.
These people are great :) I find myself constantly ogling that cello in the window, even though I can’t play one.

Fantastic and friendly service for my bari sax at Pedersen’s. After several trips (and $$) for the same problem at Baxter Northrup, John identified and solved my issue while I waited. I came in on Weds of last week for an overhaul job on my Yamaha pro alto sax and, amazingly, Mr. Pedersen completed it by Saturday morning. I’ve been playing it for 3 days now and his repair work is magnificent: detailed, high-​grade, and constructed to last. (In addition, he has a one-​year warranty on overhauls which gives a great peace of mind.) Mr. Pedersen is friendly, courteous, and clearly an expert in all things woodwinds. (He had done a minor repair job on the sax a few years ago that held up perfectly as well as a fine overhaul on my student-​level Gemeinhardt flute some years before that.) I would not hesitate to call upon his services in the future and I whole heartedly recommend his business to anyone. [UPDATE: I swear that this is true. Just as I was about to send this review in, Mr. Pedersen telephoned me to follow-​up on his repair job! Just one more example of his top-​of-​the-​line service.]

My newly adopted son needed a cello for his high-​school orchestra class. Having never dealt with this issue I went to Pedersen’s. Not only did they educate me but they walked me through the process step by step. Within a short time my son had everything he needed. The next day, unfortunately, he broke one of his strings while tuning up the cello (I guess this happens to kids a lot). I brought the cello back in and they replaced the string in minutes.
Their service is top-​notch. They are friendly, knowledgeable and really understand not only the instruments but the music programs. I had my choices of several places to go and I’m glad I picked this one.

I had been searching for just the right place to take my cherished clarinet for repairs, or «overhaul,“since I haven’t played for many, many years. I had been an excellent clarinetist, so wanted nothing but the best as far as knowledge, ability, and skills. I was more than happy to have found Pedersen’s in Burbank. Not only did John know exactly what was wrong and how to fix it, he listened to my needs and addressed all of my concerns. PLUS, when I picked up my clarinet and asked about reeds and other accessories, Nedra provided me with all the necessities I needed for the proper care and maintenance of my beautiful clarinet. I am so very pleased and excited to re-​gain the title, Clarinetist!
