Great little optometry shop. The staff here is always nice and they have good speedy service

Dr. Monji makes you feel completely at ease and well taken care of. His office staff is friendly, professional and fun.
Peg is so helpful, and has an amazing smile.
In addition to getting my full check up, I also bought a new pair of glasses, and sunglasses, which were ready in just a few days!
Peg adjusted them for me, and made me feel great about my new glasses!

After FOUR weeks of waiting, someone called me from Dr. Monji’s office to say that the glasses were finally ready for pick up. I went to the office right after work, as I have been using an old pair of glasses for the entire month I have been waiting for the new ones.
The woman who brought the glasses asked me to put them on, and I did, and the glasses were crooked. I asked her to fix them, and she said that she didn’t want to because she was afraid she might break the lenses! I asked her why they said I had to come in, if they were’t going to adjust the glasses? I told her I would not take the glasses unless they were adjusted. I also told her that if she couldn’t do the job, then perhaps she could get someone who could. Only then did she take the glasses, adjusted them, and returned. After several tries, the glasses were adjusted, but somehow the prescription wasn’t right. I just didn’t want to deal with the hassle of having them checked. I just left. After 25 years of going to Dr. Monji, I will never return there again. Time to move on to a more modern office with trained staff.
Dr. Monji is great, but his staff is inferior, untrained, unwilling to help, and all together pompous.

I went to Dr. Monji for years, until my eye insurance changed. He is the best eye dr I’ve ever been to and the lenses he prescribed for me a few years ago are far better and more accurate than several «re-do’s» I had done at Target optometry, which gave me headaches. Can’t wait to change my insurance so I can go back to Dr. Monji. The best care ever for my complicated vision.

Great service and Dr. Monji is never doubled booked, despite the number of customers. Dr. Monji reminds me of an old friend that you grew up with. I dig that he is a good listener. Some doctors do not give you enough attention, in order for you to explain what is going on. During my last visit he had the front desk put in a special contact order, reducing my bill. This I appreciate. I will continue to come back as long as the customer service continues in this positive direction.

Dr. Monji is very cool, professional and honest.
I just found out after years of wearing uncomfortable contact lenses that all I need is a good pair of reading glasses in the evenings.
I got a pair of nice prescription sunglasses for when I drive. And, then I have my reading glasses.
I’m so happy that honest doctors out there still exist. His office is professional and they have a great selection of glasses.
If you need a good eye doctor he is it!

Dr. Monji has been checking my eyeballs ever since I realized
— I could no longer drive at night without some assistance (I used landmarks to get around LA, like calling a restaurant and asking, «Can you tell me what’s near your place? Perhaps a gas station or 7−11is nearby so I can find it?»
— I sat so close to the tv, my face would often leave an imprint on the screen
— Reading books and menus became a challenge
After a little persuasion from my old co-​worker, who’s been a devout patient for years, I finally made an appointment with Dr. Monji. Not only is his staff friendly, he smells nice. And may I add he’s easy on the eyes? Try not giggling like a school girl when he gets this close to you when checking your corneas!
