I came here last night and everything was delicious! We had the calamari, ribeye and skirt steak pizza, oh, and some drinks of course! The food was really good, a bit pricey, but cheaper than other Argentinian places I’ve been to. I had a groupon so didn’t pay full price, but am planning on coming back for happy hour again, which is ALL night Monday to Wednesday. They had plenty of food on happy hour as well. The ambiance and service were great. It’s really big and open, but still feels cozy and relaxed. It was pretty dead and they had an acoustic singer, so kinda awkward but he was good and sang a nice combo of songs, some recognizable. And our server was super friendly and patient with our indecisiveness. I don’t remember her name, but she was petite with dark hair and pretty funny. Overall it was a great meal and I can’t wait to come back and chill for happy hour!

3.5 stars I would come back and give it another try. First sorry for not taking pictures had the lunch munchies. I ate everything up burning my mouth for not waiting. Did the DineLA lunch menu wifey shared the steak lunch special with a drink for under 14 $. Started with empanadas, a beef 1 and a ham n cheese 1. I liked the best one, bomb. Wifey said she had better. I had the cheese stuffed gnocchi beef Bolognes, nothing special. nice and filling kinda heavy if you got to go back to work. Wifey’s steak came with fries and rice she added some shrooms. She liked it would of loved it if the garlic was toned down.

Sooo, I love argentinian food. Empanadas, chimichurri sauce, you get the idea. Was a huge fan of the Gaucho when they were open in studio city. This gaucho in burbank, off of San Fernando and on Palm st. A hidden cool place in burbank. Love the décor, very airy and has a New York warehouse vibe, decent lunch and happy hour specials. Flat screens at bar, nice background music and hardly a crowd. Lots of space. Great food. Empanada and managers salad… also try white bean soup, Salmon, and sangria was good. Lots of deals on groupon and living social with this place. Manager is very charming and a solid go to place…

Stopped by this restaurant tonight with a friend for dinner. The place was pretty empty with total of about 8 customers in that huge space. The grumpy guy that greeted us at the door ridiculously asked if we had reservations. We got seated and waited and waited and waited for anyone to even acknowledge our presence. After about 15 minutes of just waiting, we walked out. There seemed to be just 2 people working at that time and they both didn’t know what they were doing and didn’t want to be there. I have been wanting to try this place for a long time, but will not be returning ever again. Sadly, this is just another mediocre establishment in downtown Burbank.

Decided to stop by here since we’ve always driven past it in the heart of Burbank. Great decision — food was«mm-mm good.» Like the finger-lickin’ good kind of food. The bread was so delicious. Overall a great establishment, great environment, great food, great drinks. I mean really, what more could you ask for. Pricey, but it’s nice to enjoy some new flavors once in awhile. Great customer service, they were very attentive, accommodating and friendly. Enter the parking lot directly to the left of the restaurant. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to others!

Came in for dinner and found a great happy hour menu with different tapas. I had the brochetita de carne — it was a really good skewer that was grilled with veggies and a fillet miñon like steak, which was really good. I ordered the sweet potato fries and a salad, which were nice with the steak and veggies. I am a regular and surprised that they aren’t always packed. It is fine dining style food but at a reasonable price(if you order happy hour).

Loved the food — they use lots of garlic and onions which I happen to be a fan of. Atmosphere is nice, restaurant is right outside of the parking structure on a side street in downtown burbank — where the Brazilian steakhouse used to be. Manager was super nice as was the staff. Drinks were strong. Overall the prices are a bit higher than we would normally spend on dinner but it was really good quality food and I feel very satisfied. We will be back, maybe for a special occasion or when we are feeling a bit fancy. Not sure why their overall star rating isn’t higher but I definitely recommend!

If you enjoy meat, do yourself a favor and make a stop here for lunch or dinner. I had a groupon so I didn’t pay full price for my meal but I will return because it was so good I really wouldn’t mind paying full price. The previous establishment was a Brazilian all you can eat(churrascaria) named Picanha, which wasn’t bad but the service started to fail. Anyhow. I arrive with my friend before heading out to L.A. Live and we were greeted warmly even though no host was outside at the station, wouldn’t blame them, the night was a bit cold. Once seated, the place wasn’t full, the bar had more people then the actual restaurant tables. We were asked what we wanted to drink and we placed our simple order of ice tea and water, no drinking, since I would have to drive, maybe next time I will have a drink and let my friend drive. Some of their drinks look delicious. So I went for the rib eye steak(10 oz.) And my friend went with the churrascaria which was about the same weight but much thicker meat, my steak was thin and more bloody even though we both ordered our meat medium rare. My sides were mixed veggies and broccoli and both sides were great. For appetizers we went with restaurant favorites which consisted of two empanadas of your choice, a sausage and mushrooms. My empanadas were chicken and beef, they do carry cheese and spinach and another kind, but we went with Chicken and beef, the chicken was okay but the beef had more flavor. The sausge was very tasty, and the mushrooms were delicious as well. I truly enjoyed my meal, it has been a while that a meal tasted this good from beginning to end. Portions are great, i found parking on the street but there is a public lot the driveway next to the restaurant.

We used to go to the Gaucho Grill in Studio City until it closed. I loved their milanesa steak. So I was surprised to see that GG had replaced the prior Pinchana restaurant, but was glad and looking forward to coming in and getting the milanesa. My memory was of a huge steak that covered almost the entire plate, even hanging off the edge. I ended up getting a good Groupon and we went tonight. All I can say is, it’s a good thing we had the Groupon as we weren’t thrilled. The restaurant was very cold, we had to leave our coats on the whole time. There seemed to be only one waiter and a manager type ended up taking our order when he saw us sitting there waiting for some time to order. Then it took FOREVER for our food to arrive, a good 30 minutes. My milanesa was NOT what I remembered from the Studio City restaurant. It was two smaller pieces, not the big steak that covered the plate. The coating was okay, but every time you cut into the steak it crumbled and fell off. The meat was a little on the chewy side. I ordered the side salad(which was fine) and rosemary zucchini, which had a soapy taste to me. Based on this experience, we won’t be back, even with a Groupon.

I’ve been to Gaucho Grill twice. The first time I was impressed with the food, and the second time not so much so. It’s a relatively new restaurant and both times I’ve come here with the girlfriend, the restaurant seems oddly empty. Maybe it’s the location or something, but given the tasty food and the general pleasant ambiance, I wondered why it wasn’t more popular. Anyways, the first time we went, I got the Corderito, which is three medallions of rack of lamb and the girlfriend got the skirt steak. The meat quality on the steak wasn’t spectacular but I thought the sides(spinach) and the sauce they gave was yummy. The Corederito was amazing though. Really flavorful and well cooked lamb with a delicious wine reduction. Probably one of my favorite lamb dishes I’ve ever had. Definitely recommend. The second visit, I got the sea bass and the girlfriend got the ribeye. Again, the steak was ok but nothing special. My sea bass was overcooked and stiff although the sauce and sides were good. I’d probably give my first visit five stars and my second three stars… so average out to four. The price here is a bit too much as well, especially for the not so great steaks so use that Groupon deal. TL;DR — Get the Coredirto. Use the groupon deal.

I got to tell you, the chicken with onions is out of this world. Juicy, texture and flavor in one. The empanadas are crispy and juicy in the inside. I’m going again and again

We didn’t get as bad service as some other people had to go through, but it wasn’t quite pleasant. We bought groupon & probably drove the server’s desire to give us the best he could. He wasn’t bad or rude, but he was kinda impatient & acting like weird Alfred(over smart English butler). But I wouldn’t mind that as long as the food would taste anything he’s showing off like. We ordered Rib Eye steak(medium rare) & New York Santa Fe steak(well done). Beside the shape, both of them looked & tasted exactly the same. Easy to describe: Bland, flavorless, chewy, dry & some LA buffet had better steaks than them on Weekends(seriously). Calamari fritti is an Italian dish, so it’s my fault when I expected it to be good from an Argentine restaurant. The only thing tasted the way it should be — Coke! Simply overpriced flavorless food! I came where thinking it is still Picanha Churrascaria(Brazilian all u can eat restaurant) and i wasn’t impressed with their food or service. Even with Groupon I won’t be tempted to go back. I’d rather spend few more bucks & get the lunch deal from a all u can eat Brazilian steak restaurant.

With a name like«Gaucho Grill» the least I expected is dishes that taste like Argentine food. Unfortunately everything we ordered was bland and tasteless. A real disappointment in the tasty food department. Since the restaurant has a large bar, is located walking distance from a mall and looks trendy they probably get a lot of bar business from mall and movie theater visitors, but it seems the food takes a back seat here. The empanadas, a staple of any Argentine cooking, were bland and oily inside and had hardly a spoonful of filling in them, the rest was just air trapped inside the shell. No amount of chimichurri was going to save them. The chicken milanesa was also bland and somewhat dry, and no longer hot enough when served. The pizza, a Napolitana, was bland and tasted like it came from one of the big takeout pizza chain places instead of like Argentine pizza. It was also no longer hot enough when served. At the time we came in, early afternoon, there were only a few other customers in the entire place. There were several employees milling around during this slack time before the dinner rush, yet after our order was served nobody came back to check on us or find out if we wanted something else. On trips to the restroom I noticed they were either experiencing some plumbing problem or someone got really carried away mopping the floor because everything was soaking wet; the floor, the counter top around the sink, even the wall in some places. By the way who paints restroom walls very dark brownish-red floor to ceiling? The wall color and lack of light gave the restroom a cold dark dingy basement effect, and the soaking wet floor was a nice touch… for a movie set. There is a side entrance to this restaurant from the attached parking structure. Someone kept propping the door open, probably for ventilation, but it also allowed exhaust fumes to enter the restaurant from the constant stream of cars coming and going. PS: I intended to write this review in November but got caught up in the holidays and forgot, then came back and finished entering it on 1÷14÷2016.

First I don’t understand why so many bad reviews– Great location I’ve now been there twice and I’ve enjoyed each time. Great food– great atmosphere– great location– It was fairly busy when I went but customer service was 100% as for food wonderful– I ate Chicken /Lemon with Salad and mashed potatoes — and to top it off. Custom Drink«Piña colada« Wonderful– Wont hesitate to go back!

This place has HORRIBLESERVICE!!! There was three people in our party and i ordered pasta. Fast forward 40 minutes later, everyone’s orders were served and consumed, and still no pasta! I’m sitting there like an idiot while our waitress keeps assuring me «it will come out in a couple of minutes». I had to cancel my order because we had a movie to catch. No supper for me tonight thanks to this place! And to think I was the one who recommended we try this place, I’m kicking myself for it now! NOTE: The restaurant was even less than half empty when we were there. This is a large sized establishment(formerly Picanha Churrascaria) and they were not busy at all. No wonder this place is never full whenever I pass by! Mystery solved.

************************************************Updated************************************************************* *Leaving my original review to remind me that jumping to conclusions gets people in trouble.* I had a bad experience the first time I went, and rather than get the answers to my questions, I jumped to conclusions and wrote my bad review. We were invited back by management to dine with them and we were given the explanation of why the service and the quality of my order was bad. Management understood that the day that we went was a hectic one, due to personnel not being available that day, and that the entire day was very hectic for them. The real colors of Gaucho Grill came out today. Excellent management, excellent service, excellent food! While eating, I really had those moments where I would say, «This has to be the best Fettucine Alfredo that I have had.» And it got better! The flan! To die for. I had to say it was the best flan that I have had. Hands down! I would have deleted my original review, but I want to leave it up there to show the complete turnaround that they had, and that the management does care for their customers. I completely eat my own words. I would definitely dine here again. Probably often. Everyone deserves a second chance, even people who have written bad reviews. My hat goes off to you, Gaucho Grill. ************************************************************************************************************************ Too bad there isn’t a half star rating like Star Search. I am really not one to complain about food and/or service, but this place just forced me to. I just left this place half an hour ago. Walk in. Nice decorations. Nice bar. Nice seating arrangement. That’s about it. I would say about 15 people dining in for lunch. A coworker and I go in there for lunch around 12:10pm and we both order the Steak Sandwich from the lunch menu. The time being about 12:15pm. Everything is going well. Mind you, like most working citizens, we get an hour lunch break. We don’t receive our food until 1:20pm. The table next to us were there way before we were, and they got their food probably 15 minutes before we did. Oh you know it’s bad when the people next to you say«Have a great lunch, if you ever get it.» So we are forced to take our lunch, which was meant to be a dine-in, to go. Get back to work, take a bite of the«steak sandwich», and it has no taste. The cow was still mooing for its life when being cut and stuffed between two rock hard pieces of bread. One bite of it, and it went straight to the trashcan. Horrible service. The waiter was clueless of time, customer service, and human decency. I don’t know what time of day everyone else that wrote great reviews of this place went, or what they ordered, but this has to be the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. I have eaten at many places, good and bad, but this one was THEWORST. I’d tread lightly, but if you are a gambler, and love a headache, be my guest.
