I have been coming to Michelle Nutty for years now. She’s the absolute best! We’ve done different highlights and styles and she always does a great job. And she’s so sweet! I live in Sherman Oaks now and I still drive out to Burbank to get my hair done here. I highly recommend asking for Michelle!

I got a groupon to do a balayage with Jay. I was so worried trying a new person and a new salon especially using a groupon which I never do. Jay was extremely accommodating and worked with my tough work schedule to squeeze me in. I ended up loving my hair and was so happy that I found such a great hair stylist. We immediately connected and she made my experience so comforting and positive. I can’t wait to go back to her and get my hair done again. Not only was Jay so amazing but the salon was clean and everyone was so nice and the service was wonderful! Thank you Jay for being so great… I look forward to see you soon. :)

Jamice is amazing!!! There are not enough words to describe how wonderful she is. When i go into the salon to do my hair I get so many compliments after she is done. Even a month or two later about how pretty my hair is. What i truly love about Jamice is her honesty!!! She doesn’t let you do something to your hair if the style or hair color doesn’t fit. I feel with Jamice her prices are reasonable.
Lastly, i love sitting there talking to her and laughing. You can see she is a wonderful person.

Jamice is attentive and professional. She clearly cares about her clients. I loved my cut and style and will definitely be returning.

Great place to go! I go with Jay and she is great! I first went there cause of groupon but I have kept going because Jay’s service is great! Will continue to go here.

Jamice is fantastic! She has gone out of her way to stay late for my appointments but most importantly she’s helped my hair heal after a disaster that left it damaged. She’s not only a brilliant colorist and stylist, but she educates you the entire time too. Highly recommend her — I always leave super happy and impressed!

Service: First off, I was greeting with some Keurig coffe and tea by this young gentleman as soon as I walked in. My hair dresser is Alyssa. She really has a great understanding as to what the customer is asking for. She took time to listen to my do’s and dont’s and executed it perfectly. She gave her own professional opinion which I listened to and might I say I have no regrets. My hair is so much healthier and more «mature and subtle» which was the look I was going for all thanks to her!
I visited this place on ¹²⁄₁₈ and I will definetely go back!

Went into Jamice’s salon last week to get Balayage done for the first time ever. I explained to Jamice I wanted to go pretty natural, showed her a picture, and she worked her magic! Glad I braved up and put my hair in her care because she knows what she’s doing and listens to what you want.
Would definitely come back again! :)

Great Salon, but I really come back for Jamice! I purchased her groupon back in March for balayage/​cut and on my first visit I expressed to her how hesitant I was about damaging my hair with getting highlights and going blonde because of horrible experiences I’ve had many many years ago at other salons. I went in there with color treated hair and it had been about 6 months since my last color and like any other person who knows anything about hair coloring is when you go lighter/​bleach your hair you will have some brassiness because of the red pigments and Jamice also reminded me of that and warned that there could be some brass in there. During my first appt Jamice was very nice and personable and because of my concern of damaging my hair we only went for a subtle balayage and she over toned my hair so it could get lighter in the weeks to come, for my next appt 12 weeks later we decided to lift a little more and I loved it.

Tanya Mendez is AMAZING for facials. I’ve been going to her and she is really helping my skin. She (as well as the rest of the staff) has been nothing but kind and professional with me. The place itself is fun and hip. Good atmosphere. Tanya’s room is clean and nicely decorated too! This place is not just for hair… get a facial too!

I can’t say enough good things about my stylist at D’Arte Salon, Jamice. I always feel like a million bucks after I leave from an appointment with her. Not only is she an amazing hair stylist and colorist but is such a warm and friendly person. For the attention to detail and expertise you get from her, you’d expect to pay something outrageous but the best part is she is extremely reasonable with her prices. She always give me exactly what I’m looking for in terms of cut and color even exceeding my expectations. I highly recommend her!

Ashley is the best, she gets my hair did right, and always makes me smile. All the girls are warm, skilled, and sweet. They take care of women and men alike, give them a visit :)

I got a Groupon for one haircut with balayage highlights and shampoo, conditioning treatment, scalp massage, and blow-​dry style. I am not fancy. I get my hair cut only 2 – 3 times a year, and I am a wash-​and-​air-​dry kind of girl. I repeat, I am not fancy at all. However, every once in awhile, I fantasize about doing something different with my hair, so what did I do this time? I decided to try balayage. (Ohhhhhh French word! How fancy!!)
Jay was my stylist. She was laid back, personable and meticulous. I wanted to keep the length, so she had to work on my long yet fine hair. The end result is quite fun! I love how my hair looks lighter and caramely especially when I curl my hair (by putting into a bun after I wash my hair). Thank you, Jay. You are awesome.
Finding a parking spot for this hair salon was a bit tough. It does offer its own parking space, which is super tiny. Get there a bit early, and enjoy some beautifucation.

Waste of time and money… on top of the horrible job, a few stylists there made me feel like crap about my natural hair as means to justify the crappy job that was done. Everyone who saw my hair after had nothing good to say about the job that was done either.

Finding a good cosmetologist for the right price is always a challenge. This is especially true in the LA area where many salons are overpriced with disappointing results. This is why I like to test the water by purchasing a Groupon. The Unilocal reviews for D’Arte were very good so I felt comfortable with getting a 3-​wax Groupon for the salon.
I went to Alexis who fit me in her schedule easily and on a short notice. She was friendly and made me feel comfortable. She listens to what you want and provides suggestions and answers your questions. Her room has a zen feeling to it which is also calming and relaxing. The best part about her was that when I went back to her a few weeks later, she still remembered details of our conversation the first time! I thought that was very impressive given how many other people she must have seen in that 5 week period. She aims to build relationships with her clients, which I find refreshing. It is also the reason I will keep on going back to her and book other services as well.
You might pass the salon if you are not familiar with the area, but overall it was not too difficult to find. I went on a Saturday both times and had not problem finding parking (there is a Bank of America next door that allows the salon to use their parking lot on weekend). Once you are inside, the salon is clean and comfortable and the staff is friendly!

Why has it taken me long to write this review? I’ve only been going to see Tamara for 13 years! She is the BEST — always love my highlights and haircuts. She’s professional, sweet to everyone, and it has been awesome watching her grow her business over the years. The salon feels more like home than a salon — Spanish style and very open. Love it here!

Went to D’Arte Salon and had my hair done by Jamice Dick. She is absolutely fabulous. She is an incredible hair stylist and colorist and I won’t trust my hair to anyone but her.
When I went to the salon, Jamice was professional, friendly and knowledgeable about my coloring. I have had great difficulty coloring my gray but Jamice made me look 10 years younger. The highlights she put in my hair look naturally beautiful. I have received so many compliments about my hair and the color.
Jamice also added layers to my hair and cut bangs. Wow! That’s all I can say. She made me look great.
I love my hair and I will not go to anyone but Jamice. I too gave her a picture and got the exact hairstyle I wanted. Jamice is fabulous and will get my family’s business for many, many years to come.

Jamice took me from brunette to blonde in one session and it looks AMAZING! She was so so nice and very comforting with making sure we got the right color :) highly recommend her. She gave me a nice cut as well :)

I bought a groupon and decided to give this place a go. I’m not in the mood to rant so I’m just gonna let the pictures do the talking. The lighting doesn’t do the color justice. Its coming off a bit more red than in looks in person and I am fairly satisfied with the way it turned out. The cut however… wow! No words can describe my heartbreak when i got home realized how choppy it looked. You can literally see chunks of hair that aren’t blending in. I’m tempted to go somewhere else and get it fixed but I’m afraid they’d just make it worse :(

I’ve gotten great services here over the year. Alexis is an amazing aesthetician that helped me get control of my acne break outs after I moved here from NY. She recommends such great products and has an intuition and knowledge about skin that brought me such comfort.
Kelly just gave me a haircut today and it looks phenomenal! She paid attention to my ideas and length preferences and never once did I doubt her. My hair is a lovely asymmetrical bob and I could not be happier!
Definitely recommend coming in, at least trying a mini facial with Alexis or a haircut with Kelly.
