Barraco’s Pizzeria

The buffalo sauce is like the only reason I come here also the thin crust cheese pizza, but eat it when it’s hot cuz it doesn’t taste as good when it cools down or even the next day.

I want to like this place better than I do but overall it is just average. They do try hard, so I’ll give them 3 stars. Pizza is pretty forgettable. If in this area and you want an excellent thin crust then just go to Vito and nicks on pulaski and 84^th.

We just ordered some milkshakes and i have NEVER had a milkshake this bad !!! Watered down concoction with chunks of ice in it… couldn’t really tell one flavor from another. More of a slushie than a shake. We also ordered Italian combo. Asked for the bread to be dipped in natural gravy… well it was actually swimming in the gravy inside the container. The only way you could’ve eaten it would be with spoon at that point which we didn’t try. Just tossed the whole disgusting thing. Pizza we had was not really that great either. The only decent thing we had from them was the burger. So one star it is Baracco’s. Too bad i can’t give negative stars or i would’ve!!!

I had a birthday party one day, and this place was used for the food. It was delivered to the party. Good service from the delivery guy that brought the pizza!
The thin crust pizzas were sausage and cheese, and the pizza pieces were small pieces! That does not make a difference! The pizza had a good sauce and crust. The cheese tasted great too. The sausage was pretty good too. I also had mostacholi. The sauce was great with the pasta.
I will try Barraco’s again for pizza because of their good food and great service!

I was craving pizza late one night and decided to try Barraco’s. I’ve known about their pizza and 24 hour location for many years now and finally dug up the courage to try it. I ordered a pizza online, drove nearly 30 minutes, when I arrived I was told that my order was never received and that it might have got transferred to another location? How is this possible when I placed the order specifically at the evergreen park location… the only 24 hour carry out location… I had to settle for white castle since I didn’t feel like waiting another 25 minutes for them to correctly process my order as they should have the 1^st time. This is pretty unfortunate because there is a white castle less than 2 minutes from my house but no 24 hours pizza shops. I wouldn’t recommend placing an order online, and if you do, you should call to confirm… which makes ordering online pointless. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND GAS!!! At least I can say I’m happy I didn’t place the order for delivery because I would have been sitting around waiting for a pizza that would’ve never arrived.

This take-​out only place is close to my house. Over the years, I have had numerous items from their menu. I am not a huge fan of their pizza, but it is more of a crust thing. It is good and I know people love it, but it is not in my top 10.
Since I am kicking the low-​carb lifestyle, and didn’t feel like cooking on a Friday night — I thought I would get some meatballs, sausage, and a salad. I do like their sausage — meatballs were just eeehhhh… I make better. The chef salad I got was awesome! Huge salad with lots of cheese, pepperoni, and olives — along with some other stuff tossed in.
I probably get food from here 2 – 3 times per year. The food is good, and the take-​out menu is pretty extensive. I do need to give their stuffed pizza a try someday.

The pizza is really good if you are in the mood for a buttery crust. Their $ 3 slice of pizza & can of pop deal can’t be beat when you need to eat on the run. They also have various sandwiches and pasta, but I would say they are best known for their pizza.
A few months back we ordered catering from here and everyone loved it. I was kind of shocked what our total came out to, but that’s because my husband ordered trays of ribs which can add up quickly. We ordered the beef, chicken and mostacolli package and then added on the few extra trays of ribs and roasted potatoes. I ordered waaay too much food. If you are ordering for 50 people, I would say order for like 30. They had generous portions of the pasta salad, mostacolli, beef and chicken but i felt a little cheated out of the potatoes. They were gone right away without a trace, maybe my family just really loves potatoes, but I think they need to give more then one or two potato pieces per person. Overall it was a good experience though, just ordered way too much. My own fault.
Now here’s the exciting part. They just added shaved ice to their menu for the summer! Huge portion, cheaper then Tropical Sno and you don’t have to wait forever. They also have a cute little patio to sit at. Limited flavors, but they have about 10 which is perfect. We got a large blue-​raspberry, cherry and lime shaved ice the other day and it was delicious. We will definitely be back multiple times this summer for that!

Ok so I know that this is a pizza place and salads aren’t their specialty. But seriously? Couldn’t they serve something at least edible? They don’t make their own dressing which is fine, but that means since they aren’t doing that much work to begin with, how about make a decent salad? 1) half of the lettuce was bad. Bad as in wilty and slimy. 2) their definition of curtons is sliced up submarine bread that by the time it’s delivered to you is completely soggy. 3) their lettuce had just been washed which is good but they did a horrible job drying it. At the bottom of the container is a couple centimeters of water… So wet, rotten lettuce plus soggy bread = never ordering food from here again. Salads are simple it’s uncooked greens with dressing… It’s easier than making toast… Threw it all out. So gross.

Finally got around to trying their dinners.
We ordered a Chicken Bianco Alfredo that comes with mushrooms, broccoli and chicken breast over spagehtti noodles baked with mozzerella (broccoli was tasty and tender!)

They werent cheap, 11.55 each, but there is MORE THAN ENOUGH! Very delicious we really enjoyed this meal!
Their Cannoli is really good and the filling is nice and sweet. Wish they put powdered sugar on the shell though.
Broasted Chicken while juicy leaves much to be desired as the skin wasnt crispy at all.

My favorite is their stuffed pizza. Absolutely love it. I love introducing the pizza to people for the first time to get their «wow» reaction!

You can always print coupons off from their website. I’ve always picked it up and the staff there are always nice.
The 87^th street location is for pick-​up & delivery only most of the year. When the weather is nice, they have a few outside seating tables.

THIS is what I’m talkin about! Great food, coupons always abundant online, fast, friendly service. And the pineapple pizza is to die for!
