Agave Home and Gift

Drove all the way from DTLA with my mom who loves pretty things. Looking at the pictures I believe this place was amazing at one point. When we went today items looked like stuff i would find in garage sale. None of the beautiful plants, cactus i saw on the pictures were there.

My friend and I hosted a small baby shower at Agave Home and Gift earlier this year and had a WONDERFUL experience. The owner Kathy is kind, generous, reliable, and just lovely to work with. She took care of setup and cleanup, rearranged parts of her store to create a cozy seating area for our guests to chat and eat, organized and led a fun succulent planting activity for us, and even went as far as to change her weekend plans to accommodate our schedule. Kathy went above and beyond and made the morning incredibly special for all of us. If you’re looking for a unique venue to host an event or spend some time with friends, or just shop for one-​of-​a-​kind items, don’t hesitate to come here, it’s truly an oasis in the big city.

Recently attended a paint and wine night and had a BLAST!!! Fun music playing and lots of laughing! They say it’s process not product and since I am not an artist I hadn’t much hope for my product but lo and behold I actually left with a pretty decent painting! Never mind the fabulous wine and painting experience, let’s talk about the shopping possibilities. If you are looking for something different and thoughtful this is the place to go! You will NOT be disappointed! Stylish, trendy, eclectic treasures abound. Do not pass up this shop! If you need to walk off your Portos treat just make a left out the door, head up Hollywood Way to Agave where you will find goodies just as sweet as Portos without all those nasty calories!

I spent quite a bit of time in this store and still felt like I missed some things. I spoke with Cathy (I hope I remembered her name) I was looking for a graduation gift for a colleague and thought maybe a plant would be good. She was so helpful and personable. Customer Service is never amiss here. She said she got cleaned out by the girl scouts earlier. But still pulled out suggestions for me. I never felt pressured to buy anything. It is such a great space and a great lady working there. You really have to stop by.
Bonus they were open after 6. I have noticed a lot of business in Burbank have bankers hours and are not available after work

Many of the brands in this store I recognize from going to Unique LA. The support and carry many local brands! Great gift store. Personable, knowledgeable and helpful staff.

I was driving past their beautiful shop, in July 2014, and my fascination towards the terrariums caught my attention. My wife lives in NY and I wanted to make a beautiful terrarium for her but had no prior knowledge about it. Kimberly is an amazing lady, who promised me to teach how to make one in her shop that week. When I went back, she wasn’t in that day but Jackie, the other amazing person, gave me some of the knowledge and we made one terrarium together.
I visited their shop another time to buy some stuff to take with me to NY and there were 2 different people working that day. Everyone in this place are amazing — very helpful, and very sweet to talk to.

Found this treasure trove while on my way to the yarn shop next door. I can’t even begin to describe how much I loved this place! It was so welcoming and green and just a succulent heaven. I cannot wait to take one of their classes. Yay Agave!!!

Let’s start with Kathy a real wonderful lady, she is amazing of all the things she knows about how to take care of succulent plants, she was highly recommend by my best friend Laura but unaware of all the treasures in that entire store, very enjoyable walking through the store with the two beautiful water fountains, to see all the organic body lotions, homemade kosher jelly and jams with so many flavors like mint, watermelon, jalapeño, a display of chocolate bars, wall placards great as a gift, scented candles a lot of the stuff from local vendors, mistral soap bars for men and women, I couldn’t believe she had those there, I’ve always purchased these from the San Diego Mistral store, she also offers different types of workshops ie; beaded necklace, water painting, ceramic pot making, this is a must see store!

I made this succulent garden for a Valentine’s Day gift. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Looking forward to returning!

This is the cutest little hole in Burbank. .hard not to fall in love .I took a class & was fascinated. .Kathy was very kind & professional. I wish there was more beautiful people like her in this world. humble & sweet… all her classes are so creative. …many me feel very welcomed. .in fact relaxed me after a stressful day at work. .without her knowing she… brought a smile to my face. .I wish Kathy the best of luck with her business. .This will be one of my favorite spots for unique & creative gifts.

This place is a hidden gem in the Burbank Community! The owner, Kathy, is BY FAR one of the most convivial and propitious people I’ve ever had the good fortune of meeting. My wife and I went in there to buy this stunning canvas portrait of horses on the beach and it now looks great in our home :)
I highly recommend this shop; its natural charm and unique character is sure to impress even the most gelid of shoppers!

There are a ton of boutiques like this selling gifts and such in the Val but NOTHING comes close to how adorable and well curated Agave is. I hosted a bridal shower there and everyone was obsessed with all the little plants, pots, tree houses, and home décor items. The bridal shower was really fun… well priced and kept everyone entertained. We made drift wood succulent planters and everyone’s turned out beautiful. Kim and Martin were absolutely amazing to work with and really made the experience perfect for all of us. Cant wait to go back!

A beautifully arranged and relaxing shop with many unique treasures. Handmade soaps, candles, jewelry, and many succulents! The owner Kim is friendly, creative, and accommodating. I walked in with no idea what to buy for Mother’s Day gifts for my mom and mil and she gave me great ideas. She made custom succulent frames. When I went to pick them up yesterday, Martin was very patient and took the time to package them. His packaging skills are amazing and he was very kind and attentive. I have no doubt they will arrive in MA and WA undamaged. Burbank is lucky to have Agave Gardens in our neighborhood!

Agave is wonderful! I went in to get a house warming gift for my girlfriend, and Kim (the owner) was great… She helped me pick out the type of pots and succulents I wanted and potted them for me while I continued to shop.
The store is very charming with lots of home/​garden décor. I was also surprised to see «$$$» when I came back to the Unilocal page, because I found all the pricing to be very reasonable.
I will definitely be back to Agave very soon for all my succulent needs! Definitely worth checking out!

Agave gardens is a great to shop for a variety of succulents as well as home gifts. I purchased an outdoor wolly pocket and love it. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable. Shopping here is a joy

I really enjoyed my visit to this store a while back. Loved taking part in the workshop. It’s a great place if you want to find unique gifts — they have a lot more to offer than plant based gifts so you can find something for a variety of people. I want all of their garden statues and decorations. Gimme.

Never been to Agave Gardens in Burbank? Imagine the bar from Cheers as a garden and gift shop with fabulous natural light, thousands of beautiful handmade items and potted plants and dish gardens, smiling lovely staff, and special events. Welcome to Agave Gardens.
The selection of merchandise is fabulous. So many things I love: the succulent dish gardens in vintage containers, the cute primitive wooden signs with adorable sayings, the fairy gardens with teeny little scenes inside, the luscious handmade soaps, the adorable birdhouses made from salvaged items, the incredibly diverse selection of succulents and air plants. New items arriving all the time.
I love that you can walk through the store and put together your own potted garden right there at the Succulent Bar in the back of the shop. Choose your pot, choose your plants, add some colored rocks, or little figures and walk out with a green masterpiece to add to your décor or to give to someone special.
The Succulent Bar events, by the way, are fun for parties, ladies’ night out, or just an excuse to get a group together and have a relaxing good time. I’ve already hosted an event and all my guests raved about how much fun it was for both kids and adults. Be sure to stop in during the Magnolia Park Ladies’ Night Out on the last Friday of each month. Even though there’s a lot of action on Magnolia, turn the corner at Porto’s and head down to Agave because they’ve got fun events happening down there that you won’t want to miss. (And Ladies’ Night Out is actually great for men and kids, too.)

Love this place! I think I was their first customer. I almost cleared out the place before their grand opening! I just loved everything they had there. What’s best is that the plants were already put together in a creative manner that I would never think of (and I am pretty creative). I could turn my apt into an Agave Garden myself after this. Again, I admire boutiques like these that specialize in their craft and really love what they do. It shows. I would recommend it to anyone! Everyone should have plants in their place to liven it up!
