Went here Saturday 10/24/2015. Wholly Coupon Day. Everyone in BHC must have been in here this day. Was told by an employee I needed a coupon to buy something. Told by same employee coupon was available online This wo-man em-ploy-ee more than made me feel kinda stoopid that I didn’t know it was cupon day(spelling errors were intentional). Went to checkout and there was an endless line of people. Left not wanting to wait an eternity in line. They need more cashiers, especially on online coupon day! Left as I was with a friend and we had other errands to run and didn’t want to wait in that crazy long line.

*** PROS *** * Great selection of crafting/sewing items * Shopping carts available * Friendly staff working the cash registers and cutting stations *** CONS *** * Our cart was a little small for the amount of items we were purchasing My daughters wanted to create dresses for their dolls, and were able to buy so many items at such a great price! They bought 1 yard of yellow feather boa material and 1 yard of pink feather boa material for around $ 3/yard. The fabric is on sale right now — half price. Great selection. We also bought a black«science board» trifold to turn into a doll boutique. My kids really enjoyed the experience of purchasing their crafting supplies, and spent all weekend crafting and sewing.

I was extremely excited when this store opened, especially since our local Wal-Mart no longer has a fabric section. My opinion changed from my first visit. I needed rug binding, but was told that they didn’t carry it. Many months later I was in the store and overheard an employee talking about rug binding! I asked her about it, and she told me that they always had it; that most employees don’t know what it is. The scrap book section is very small. Most of the employees are rude, unfriendly, and not knowledgeable. They accept coupons which is great, but the coupons are good only on «regular priced items.» As one employee actually told me, «Just about everything in the store is ‘on sale’.» Then, one day they will take a coupon; the next day they won’t. Bottom line: they don’t know what they are doing. From now on I will drive the 40 minutes to Havasu City to their Wal-Mart that has a fabric section. The material is cheaper there, too. If I can’t get what I need there, I’ll go to their Hobby Lobby right down the road. I will NOT go to this Jo-Ann’s again!
