Good food & drink. A bit pricey but to be expected. Celebrating a graduation thought it would have been nice to bring graduate a small sweet at the end of meal. Chocolate covered strawberry or something.

This was the worst service I have ever experienced. Since we had a Groupon, we were seated a table near the bar instead of in the back of the restaurant with everyone else. This wouldn’t have been so bad, if you like watching people at the bar try to pick up the hostess. The food was great, and good sized portions, but we were ignored once a high profile group of people came in. At that point, it took 20 minutes to get a water refill, despite the fact that our server passed out table twice to get to her high profile table upstairs with the pitcher of water. The 2 stars were given for the great cook. Would have been 5 stars if our server was around and cared to take care of us.

During my visit a fire incident occured 30 feet from the restaurant. Durring the incident the owner and management made no arempt to move the customers out of the building to a safe place. They instead decided to ignore the situation putting their patrons into a potentially dangerous situation. Because of this I will never recommend this place to anyone. The power went out for about 45 minutes. There was an issue with bill at more than one table. The owner was rude when discussing the situations of the evening. The least that could have been done was a complimentary cocktail or dessert. There are too many other good restaurants that will be more respectful to their patrons.

Went for brunch on a sunday with a Groupon on and wasn’t let down at all. The service was great, the food was even better. The ambience was calm and soothing for the time of the day, I suspect that if you go later on into the evening it would be a little more lively. The prices are kind of high tho, but it’s expected for a restaurant of style. All in all I was very pleased with my food and service. I would definitely go again(with a Groupon of course)

31 Club is very overpriced. The service was great but overall the food was lack luster. The menu seemed promising but the execution of the dishes needs work. We started with the Cajun spring rolls. They were pretty average nothing spectacular. We then tried the warm BKB salad. It consisted of roasted brussel sprouts, kale, and pancetta. Overall it was a good dish, I think the grease from the pancetta was a bit overwhelming. I personally ordered a mesculin salad. It was the saddest excuse of a side salad I’ve ever had. I’m sorry for $ 10 you should have more then a small handful of Wegmans spring mix, topped with a few almonds, craisins, and goat cheese. For our entrée I ordered the 16oz Veal Porterhouse medium rare — it came out gray and well done. The risotto served on the side was pure cream with absolutely no flavored. The two stalks of asparagus and a tiny sliver of bell pepper was a poor attempt at a vegetable. My friend ordered the lasagna bolognese. The flavor was average and the presentation was a disaster. The cheese on top was barley melted. I’ve seen better microwaved lean cuisines. Our server was very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. Unfortunately we sat in the side room near the kitchen and we could hear everything being said between the staff. I’m sorry but that thin partition wall won’t cover up the staff yelling at each other. The building was nice but not what I would have expected. With all of the history in Buffalo you would think the building would have been a little bit more original especially in that neighborhood. Everything looked brand new and a bit stuffy. I would have liked if they didn’t remove the original character from the building.

Im not sure if this will be a good review. I went st. Pattys days brunch and we did the special which was bogo drinks so by the time I was finished I was a happy camper who has mimosas and bloody marys before parade started. The service was nice and it felt a little fancier than I had dressed. The food was amazing and the drinks were as well.

Myself and a friend went to the 31 Club for lunch, this was both our first visit. upon arrival we waited at the hostess podium for several minutes when we were greeted we were told to sit anywhere and she will find us. After waiting several minutes for our menus. I ordered the Cajun Spring Roll for an appetizer and the One Eye Jack Burger. Which was just ok. I ordered the burger medium but received it well done. It took so long for our order to come I didn’t want to send the burger back. My friend asked several times for a lemon for her water which she never received. During our time there I only seen the one waitress/hostess. She was friendly but overworked. Not sure if I’ll go back

Easter, we went to brunch at Club 31. The ambience is nice. However, the brunch left much to be desired. Perhaps it was the late time 3pm. The food display was not appealing. The food was in warming dishes around the bar and the dessert was almost gone. For the amount spent $ 31.00 per person I expected more of a fine dining experience. The staff started cleaning up to close while we ate. This was my first and last visit to the 31 Club. This restaurant did not live up to my expectations.

Went to brunch on 2⁄282016 with a party of 5. We were seated in a back room with a fireplace which was lovely. The waitress was friendly, took our drink orders right away. The 2-for-1 deal on Mimosas, Belinis, and Bloody Mary’s was fantastic. We received a nice little basket of some pastries and muffins to start. The first disappointment came when we were told the waffle iron was not working and had not been for the past couple weeks. Seems like something that should be taken care of right away if you’re serving brunch. My friend did order the French toast instead, but still was disappointed. My disappointment came when I ordered the lobster scramble and it was not cooked the way I had asked. I asked for egg whites instead of yolk, which was taken care of, but I actually asked for no feta either. When I received the meal I was happy with how it looked, but as I started eating it it was very clear that the feta was in the meal, and lots of it. I generally would send the meal back, but all of my friends were eating and I didn’t want to sit there waiting for my meal to be fixed while they were enjoying theirs. I ended up eating as much of it as I could, making sure all of the lobster was gone, leaving some of the eggs and arugula. Disappointing that a place like this was unable to follow the simple request of no cheese in the meal. The waitress did not at any point question if the meal was good, something I would think should be asked when you notice that someone didn’t finish half of their dish. I would potentially give this place another try in the future for a meal, as I prefer not to judge on one try alone… but I don’t think I would return for brunch.

This is completely in regards to brunch. When we came here for dinner a year or so ago, we enjoyed it very much. Came in Sunday around 1:00pm for brunch with 5 other people. I love the look of the bar area-very classy and bright during the day. It was buy 1 get 1 bloodies and mimosas so that was a nice surprise. Reservations were for 1:00pm but I don’t believe we were seated until about 1:30. That wasn’t a big deal to us as we didn’t mind sitting at the bar and waiting. The bartender however, served my boyfriend a drink and completely ignored me. I think he may just not have been paying attention because he looked up a few minutes later with a confused look and immediately came over to make my drink. When we were seated for brunch, we were seated in the corner at a nice table for 6. Our server came over promptly. She was very nice and was able to keep up with our multiple drink orders throughout brunch. The downside of everything, other than the swarm of fruit flies that I think awoke from the dead due to the fact that it was 60 degrees out, was our food. It took a long time for the food to come out which was surprising, because everyone’s meal looked as if it had been sitting under a warmer for 20 minutes or more. My friend who was in town visiting, ordered the NY and eggs(medium rare) and her steak was medium well for sure. The lobster scramble I was told had about 2 tiny pieces of lobster. My smoked salmon just tasted old. My guess is because it was sitting under the warmer for a while. At the end of the meal, no one at our table overly enjoyed their food. We overheard someone saying that the cooks were shorthanded so that could have been it. Every single one of us at the table were servers or in the industry so no one sent anything back or complained. Like I said, our server was great so none of this affected her tip. Because we were able to use a $ 80 Groupon, the lack of quality in the food wasn’t a huge deal for us since our bill was so inexpensive. Without the discount I think we all would have been a little more disappointed. I don’t think any one of us would come back for brunch. There was just no wow factor and to be honest, the mimosas started coming out more and more orange as brunch went on. I’m not sure there was any champagne in our last round. I would give this place a try again for dinner only. We really did enjoy ourselves the last time.

Went for brunch on Valentines day. We were seated immediately in a quiet room off to the side with a fireplace, it was very quaint. Our server, Shayla, came over almost immediately and got our orders in very quick. My first course was lobster bisque… had a very different taste than most I’m used to, but I still thought it was one of the best recipes I’ve ever had. Our main course, however, took awhile to arrive. But our server made up for it by offering us free drinks from the bar. It was totally unnecessary, but was a very nice touch. We really didn’t mind that the food took a little while, it’s a holiday, after all. Shayla just made a point to be over the top helpful and apologetic, which we really appreciated. All in all, the experience was lovely and I would really like to come back for dinner… Subtracting one star, though, because I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict. There was barely any salmon on this dish. There had to be less than an ounce of actual fish on the entire dish. Also, the dill sauce used completely smothered the dish, and it didn’t seem to be mixed well at all. Certain bites lacked flavor, while others practically punched you in the face with the strong taste of citrus. For the cost, I could make a better dish than that… that really was my only issue, though. And I didn’t feel it necessary to complain about it because, like I said, it was a holiday, the servers were busy and I don’t feel right bothering them with that. I just won’t order it again. It was just disappointing. I just want to say, again, though, that Shayla was an incredible server and I hope whoever reads this let’s her know!

This is one of my favorite restaurants In buffalo. There’s so much to enjoy here. They have large rooms that can be reserved for work dinners or other dinner parties. They have a bar with some premium spirits. There’s a fireplace next to the check in booth. You can reserve your table on the OpenTable app. Sunday brunch is amazing. Although I’ve never experienced it, they have live music on some weekends, including Latin jazz. For those of you who love oysters, they have some of the freshest oysters around. For vegetarians I recommend the eggplant Napoleon. Its been on the menu for years and I can see why. Try the stuffed artichokes as an appetizer too. Those are one of my favorite

I had been trying to get here for Brunch for a while now, and finally made it today. I had heard very good things, but, I must say, I was a bit disappointed. We had a very large group, but as we were the first to arrive at the restaurant, I didn’t think the size of our group was the problem. We started with coffees & tea because cocktails were not available until noon. The regular brunch menu looked interesting, but the specials really caught my eye. Our(very attentive and skilled) waiter recommended the Belgian waffle special, and suggested we order one for the table to try. We decided to order an «appetizer» waffle with ice cream as suggested and it did not dissapoint. Delicious! We put our food and cocktail orders in after the waffle was delivered. Get the Bellini! Lovely, crisp, and just peachy enough. So far, so good, until my food was presented. I ordered the duck breast bagel special. This was really bad. The duck was undercooked — nearly raw rather than pleasantly medium-rare as it should have been and the skin was not crisp, nor was the fat properly rendered. The egg was overcooked — no nice, runny yolk — and the arugula salad was overdressed and skimpy. Plus, the bagel was not toasted at all. Had I not been with such a large group, I would have sent it back. Another member of our party ordered the Eggs Benedict and her eggs were overcooked as well. Everyone else in our party seemed very happy with their food, and the Shrimp & Grits was pronounced«outstanding». I am giving the 3 stars based on the others’ opinions of their food, but if we were just relying on mine it would be only one star. Excellent cocktails and service… hit or miss food. I probably won’t return for brunch.

I came here last Sunday with my boyfriend for brunch. I made a reservation just in case but it turns out we didn’t need it, as we were seated as soon as we walked in. I know that 31 Club is a fancier place for dinner but for brunch it was pretty casual. They do not serve alcohol until noon on Sunday’s so we started out with two cups of coffee. The coffee was pretty standard, nothing special. I ordered the steak and eggs, which came with a 12 oz NY strip steak, eggs cooked to your liking, home fries, and toast. My boyfriend ordered the eggs benedict. Shortly after we ordered, we brought over two cute little chocolate chip muffins which appeared to have just come out of the oven because they were still warm. It was noon before our food came so we also ordered a mimosa and a bloody mary which was perfect because they arrived with our food. My bloody mary was made just to my liking… strong and spicy. The bloody mary was standard, good but not like one from Sophia’s. My steak was cooked perfectly. i ordered it medium rare and it has just the right amount of redness for such a think piece of steak. It was also seasoned to perfection. One of my biggest pet peeves is when a piece of meat is under seasoned so I was very satisfied with my dish. My boyfriend’s egg benedict was tasty as well. He especially loved the home fries, and I thought the fresh fruit salad that they put on his plate was a nice touch as well. To our surprise, our waitress told us that the cocktails were bogo and we could mix and match between bloody’s, mimosas, and bellinis. We were ecstatic! I ordered a bellini this time and he stuck with a mimosa. I was expecting the drinks to be way over priced because they were bogo, but they were actually only $ 8 which is not unreasonable for a restaurant of this quality. The bill was a little steep for brunch but I was expecting this. Its not like we were at a Denny’s, so I didn’t mind. However, we were charged $ 5 for the small cups of coffee. I think I would do without that next time. But everything else was amazing and delicious! I cant wait to come back for brunch and try dinner one night!

I was there for restaurant week and when I first walked in it look nice inside. We got seated right away I guess cause I went on a Sunday. The service was decent but it could be better. My waiter was Doug and he was very helpful. I ordered chicken and my bf got steak. When the food arrived I was impressed. It was plated well and you can try the cooks took there time. I’ll come here again

First of all, I would give this 5 stars if the waitress hadn’t been rude/made us feel like peasants. We tipped well, ordered the restaurant week offerings as well as drinks and appetizers but still our waitress was not the best. Maybe she was having a bad day BUT it came off a little more intentional than that. Anyways, I had a few beers and my girlfriends split a couple bottles of wine and all were good but the beers were a little pricey, which I guess is par for the course with a place like this. The food was delicious though. My friend got the lasagna bolognese and I got the chicken milanese and we split the two. Together they were great but the chicken needed a little something else on its own as did the lasagna. It’s too bad they don’t offer pasta or a sauce with the chicken because it was a little dry on its own. But really just a little, overall GREAT.

This was our 2nd time here and I am sad to say that we were very disappointed. The service was good but the food was lacking alot of flavor. I had the filet as I had the last time we dined here. The mushroom risotto just had no flavor, so bland! The filet was just ok again not much great flavor. My husband ordered the salmon which when it was brought out, was luck warm at best. Another reason for the 2 stars is that the whole reason we booked dinner here was because they offer/promote a free shuttle service to and from Sheas. We loved this idea so I made reservations 2 months in advance. We received a call 3 hours before our reservation time and were advised that since we were the only 2 people signed up for the shuttle that it wasn’t going to be offered. They require 6 people to run it. This makes no sense as it is not stated anywhere nor were we made aware of this when we made the reservations. We were sold on the idea of not having to worry about or paying for parking etc.

WORLD’S BESTBOWLOFLOBSTERBISQUE (ANIMPORTANTMESSAGEFORTHEMEN: Gentlemen, my sincere apologies but I cannot properly review The 31 Club without using some language that we men are not only uncomfortable with, but may flat out not even exist in our vocabulary. Although some of the adjectives I will use are only commonplace within the woman’s stronger, more capable diction than us men, they are never-the-less necessary to paint the most accurate description of my experience at The 31 Club. Don’t worry, however, because I will put […] around the words and place a MANKEY at the bottom for your translation.) Now read on… The interior of The 31 Club has a very [SWANKY] appeal to it. Its fancy chandeliers, darker décor, candle-lit-white-table-cloth clad dining area and soft glow lighting give it the perfect ambiance and create a wonderfully [ELEGANT] dining experience. This place makes for a terrific date night out. Enough about the look of the place; the food and service offered here could have been whipped up in a cardboard lean-to under a bridge by trolls and it would rank as one of the most [LOVELY] dining experiences I’ve had in recent memory. As stated above, I had the lobster bisque. It was wonderfully rich, creamy and [DECADENT]. They serve it with a fresh tasting chimichurri sauce and it has the subtlest spicy kick of jalapeño. I love soup, and being that as it may, I’ve had soup that I thought was extremely good in my days, but never before had I actually wanted to order another bowl of soup. I should have ordered a second bowl for dessert… After the soup/salad/bread course you’re treated to intermezzo: a lemon sorbet palate cleanser on the house. Afterwards I had the blackened mahi mahi and it was [DELECTABLE]. It was thick cut and a very generous portion of the fish rubbed with rosemary and other seasoning, and then grilled. The middle was juicy, flaky and had an almost gelatin-like texture, but was warm and thoroughly cooked. It was served with a saffron risotto and side of a very smokey-flavored broccolini. I thought the whole dish was [MAGICAL]. As much as I liked the mahi mahi(which was a special), it was tough to choose past the 22 oz. bone-in Cowboy Rib Eye on the menu. I saw a couple of those bad boys come out of the kitchen and they were the size of catcher’s mitts! Lastly, our server Lauren was terrific. She was fast & friendly, gave outstanding food recommendations and was downright [ADORABLE].
