So I ordered from here the other night as I saw a write up in the Buffalo News how this is the go to place for the Sabres and visiting NHL teams to order pizza and wings from and I wanted to give them a try. Now I was familiar with Ricota’s since my brother used to hang out in the Valley(that’s what they call this area of this city if you didn’t know) when he was younger. The place itself is actually an unassuming corner store that also happens to double as a pizza shop. Figured I’d check them out and mark it off my list of South Buffalo Pizza places to try. All in all I was pretty happy with the food and service. Calling in order and pick up where seamless. The pizza was good true Buffalo style, medium crust, thick cheese, singed pepperonis… For wings I got half hot and half plain and they were fresh out of the fryer when I got there. Really liked the Hot Wings, they were saucier than most places with a bit extra butter, nice spice and still crisp as they didn’t sit long before I picked them up. All in all nothing like oh my God you have to try their food, but a solid true neighborhood pizza place serving up proper Buffalo pizza and wings.
