Five Guys Burgers and Fries

Best fast food burgers and fries you will find. It really is all about the burgers and fries, so come here when that is what you hanker. They cook all the burgers through, so you can’t order medium or rare, but every time I have been here my burger has been juicy and delicious. I always order the cheeseburger, which comes with two patties. You can get a «little» one with just one burger or get three. The fries are fresh cut Idaho potatoes, and bags and bags of fresh inventory are in view. They write on a bulletin board what farm the ones they are frying come from. The fries are done perfectly, in peanut oil, and salted. Yum. Peanuts in the shell are free to munch while waiting for your order. Peanut allergy folks beware. For a few dollars more than the other options, this is great. Parking is easy in the shopping center lot, since this store is at the end of the center.

I’ve only been once. That was enough. It’s on Delaware near Delta Sonic and Target. Easy parking.
We went early in the lunchtime hour. So we were able to place orders and be served quickly. I prefer burgers less well done, which is why I probably won’t be back. But my burger was fine. My dining companion wasn’t thrilled with his but he did eat it.
I have to knock off a star because of the lack of choice in how you want your burger.

I don’t know why it took me so long to make my inaugural visit to this location, because I’ve always enjoyed my time at the out-​of-​town locations I’ve been to.
It seems like a fairly standard Five Guys. Nothing stood out as amazing, but nothing was bad. The store was clean and warm, the staff were friendly and efficient, and the food was good.
As I went at the end of the standard dinner time on a week day, there was no line and not many other diners in the restaurant. That meant walking straight up to the counter to order and having the cashier watch me as I got overwhelmed with topping options! He was very friendly and nice. In my «which of the 100 toppings do I want?!» panic I decided on going pretty simple — a regular burger with lettuce, pickles and ketchup, and a regular fries.
In browsing the Unilocal reviews as I waited for my order, I realized the mistake in my order — it was going to be enough food for two. And it was. I ended up tossing half of the fries in the trash. Unless you’re planning to split your order or pick at it all day, I recommend getting smalls of everything.
I didn’t get a soda or grab any peanuts, but the burger and fries were very tasty — even after an extended time cooling off in the car (because I had to run a few errands before heading home).
All in all, I’d come back and bring some friends.

For a dollar or two more than a typical fast food burger, you can eat real food. From the fries to the burgers, I am a fan. It’s legit.
As with any chain, there can be variations in quality and service from location to location. I’ve experienced a five guys that I wouldn’t go back to. This location is a good representation of the brand, consistently good in service and quality.

Five Guys always top notch! Always a welcome as you walk in the door… friendly smiling faces. Friendly menu suggestions/​additions, but never pushy.
Usual order for me is Little Cheeseburger (and this was my first time to add bacon). Today I went with lettuce, extra tomato and mayo… sometimes I get pickles, onions, ketchup… but not today.
I also got a Regular size order of Cajun Fries. I totally recommend the Cajun Fries… I absolutely love them! Fresh cut fries with Cajun seasoning… fanfriggintastic!!!
While I waited I did have a handful of peanuts (they have free peanuts in the shell to snack on while you are waiting). A nice touch.
The order came up quick and out the door I went… of course eating some of those Cajun Fries in the car on the way home. Thank goodness they always put a stack of napkins in the bag toooo.
Whenever a craving for a consistently fantastic burger and super friendly quick service arises… this should definitely be your destination.

Bacon burger topped all the way was sloppy but great. Fries were great too. Hot and fresh. Love the concept with the taters. Quick and friendly staff. Clean inside. Plenty of parking.

Love the food but not so much the prices! A burger and fries are like $ 15 which is too much for one meal. But the burgers are GREAT and the Cajun fries is top notch hands down!

Everytime I come here I always get the double bacon cheeseburger with bbq sauce on it, jalapeños, and onions. It’s a sloppy mess, but it’s good. I also like the fries. The prices can get steep though to be a burger joint so I don’t go too often because there are much better burger spots elsewhere. Overall, it’s a pretty decent spot that’s never been too busy when I’ve gone.

I am NOT a burger person, or a red meat person at all for that matter. But Five Guys is something I find myself craving from time to time.
I love the simplicity. You can choose what you want, instead of ordering a burger with 500 ingredients and having to ask for them to be taken off. The menu is so simple, either you want a double, or a single (little), with cheese and bacon or neither or both. They are all made well done, so you can’t tell them what you prefer. Then you just tell them the toppings you’d like and voila.
The fries are SO FRIGGEN GOOD, they are hand cut and I love how they tell you where the potatoes are from that you are eating. The orders always seem to be huge, no matter what size you get. They have the coke machine with the 100s of options, which I always love. The staff is always always always super friendly at this location, and the free peanuts definitely hold me over as I watch them create my masterpiece.

Five Guys is so much better than a fast food joint! It actually has decent hamburgers and hand cut French fries. The portions are huge! I always order the baby burger. It’s truthfully the size of a regular hamburger. You can specify any amount of toppings you want on your hamburger, while ordering. A large fry can easily be split between multiple people. They fill a large paper cup with fresh cut French fries then fill the entire bag with remaining fries. It’s basically just an entire brown bag of fries. They’re delicious though, make sure you get them!
They also have one of the newer drink machines in the restaurant. You can chose over a hundred drink creations, with unlimited refills. Peanuts are offered in the lobby, while you’re waiting. The restaurant is always clean and the employees friendly. Recently, we’ve been ordering online. They wait until you get there to make your fries, to ensure freshness! It’s worth the wait and appreciated :) I definitely choose Five Guys over the other fast food options!

First time at Five guys. Didn’t know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. Fresh made burgers and very good fries!

You can’t go wrong with a good burger! And if that’s what you’re looking for this is the place to come! They have some of the juiciest and flavorful burgers in the area. Not to mention they are always cooked to perfection! I had a bacon cheeseburger with jalapenos, BBQ sauce, lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions, and mushrooms. It was delicious as usual. One thing you have to get when you come here, even if it’s the smallest size, the French fries are great! I prefer them done in Cajun style, just the right amount of heat without ruining the flavor. Another bonus with the fries is that once they put them in the bag, they then take a an extra big scoop to throw in the bag. However if you go in there and get a burger, fries, and a drink you’re most likely to pay over $ 10, so don’t expect super cheap but it’s not bad either. They cook pretty quick so this would be a good place to get a bite for lunch.

Don’t know what everyone is getting so hyped up about when it comes to Five Guys. These are just the basic same burgers you get anywhere. Cooked on a grill, (like other fast food places do theirs), not very flavorful. Honestly I’ve had much better burgers at less money. Fries are good, but seriously, they dump them into a fryer with a timer and then take them out when the alarm goes off. Better than fast food, but not worth the money

The staff is very polite and the place is clean. Burgers and fries with a drink are pricy, the same if you had gone to a sit-​down restaurant. The food is tasty, but the fries standout. They prepare all orders as takeout, but they do have lots of tables. I’ll be seeing them again.

This place is great when I’m in a hurry and need a quick bite. One «little cheeseburger» is enough for me to eat and feel full. If you’ve never been here before, a little cheeseburger is a single patty burger. The regular sized cheeseburger is apparently two of these patties. I could probably manage to eat one of those but I’m sure I would immediately regret it.
The meat isn’t cooked how you want it — it’s all cooked well. I’m a rare burger kind of girl so when I eat here it’s because I’m starving — not because I love it. They do have a ton of toppings which are all free so that’s awesome.
This place also has one of those smart soda machines which lets you pick from a bunch of different kinds. The service is friendly and quick. If you have a peanut allergy, this place isn’t for you. They have peanuts out in the open and cook with peanut oil.

I am not really sure why people are giving this place such low ratings. Every time I have come here, they get my order correct and on point.
The burgers are always nice and juicy and you can add pretty much anything to your burger and ask for extra anything, and you will not get charged!
I really love the coke freestyle machine they have here, Limitless styles of soda you want with whatever flavor. You can be there forever pretty much deciding what you want to drink.
The pretty cool thing they have here is the peanuts that you can snack on while you are waiting for your food or even snack on before you get your grub on.
Their fries too are always on point and fresh.
Over all this is my next favorite fast food old school burger joint besides IN-​N-​Out.

The first Five Guys burger I ever had was in NJ after I completed a Tough Mudder. The perfect reward.
I remember it being incredibly delicious, so when I came back here a few times in Buffalo to try to replicate the experience: I was left wondering — what the heck changed? I thought chain restaurants were supposed to deliver a pretty uniform experience.
Was it that I didn’t complete a 12-​mile Spartan race beforehand to spree up my brain chemicals into euphoria in spite of what I was eating? No — their policy changed! See, in NJ they happily cooked my burger medium rare. Here — there is a big fat sign on the counter: «We cook all our burgers well done and juicy!»
Unfortunately, juiciness and a well done burger are opposites in my humble opinion and I have to agree with Fox that the taste of their burger’s resembles a Wendy’s. Their bread/​buns are not too tasty (they are the cheapest and most basic of hamburger buns).
The cool thing is that they do offer you whatever condiments you want with your burger (mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, etc). Bacon is extra, but at least the veggies you can load up to your heart’s content. The fries are indeed delicious and free and the peanuts + nice employees and service are refreshing in a «fast food environment.»
All in all, if you are a huge fan of their burgers — then you’ll love it here. If you find them mediocre, then you’ll just be «meh.»

At least if it was called «Three Guys» it could be like a stand up comedy show. Or «Three Guys & A Little Lady» it could be a Hollywood movie with Tom «Moustache» Selleck and Ted «I’d rather be drinking in Boston» Danson and Steve «I just made Police Academy 12» Guttenberg. Or if it was called «Five Guys & A Bigger Lady» then it could be adult entertainment for a niche market, including folks such as Sir Mixalot.
But it’s called none of those things. It’s merely Five Guys. Which sounds like a real sausage fest to me. And they don’t even serve sausages here. So it’s essentially false advertising. But on with the review.
I am so not a fan. Okay so the burger I had here tasted exactly like Wendy’s. What’s up with that? Wendy’s is like my least fave fast food burger and these ones are supposed to be really good. Sure it tasted a little fresher than Wendy’s but I mean, talk about a let down. I guess it’s a decent «typical burger» but for all the insane hype I just expect it to be at least decent. People who love this place obviously haven’t ever been to a Cook Out in North Carolina. Cheaper and 1,000 times tastier.
By the way, this is a national chain. It just happened than when I tried it, I went to this one. I’ve tried one in DC too. Same story.

I just had my first trip to Five Guys and I’m stuffed! I was very impressed by their topping selection (fried onions, mushrooms, BBQ sauce, etc.) which are all free with the cost of your burger. A word of warning — the «regular» burger is actually two patties while the «little» burger is a single patty. I can only imagine how much meat is on the double bacon cheeseburger!
I had a regular bacon cheeseburger, fries and a Coke. They have the fancy soda machine that will let you mix to your heart’s content, but I’m a simple guy. The burger was pretty big with ample toppings. Everything tasted very fresh and although I made a mess dripping this and that everywhere I was very pleased. That’s a tasty burger!

How did I not know about this place?
1. 100 drinks to choose from. Unlimited refills.
2. Small burger is super filling.
3. Small fries is totally supersized.
4. You select burger toppings and «grilled mushrooms» is one of the toppings!
5. Good grade meat.
6. CHEAP. My meal was 5 something bucks. I ordered a small burger and small fries.
7. Better than McDonalds.
8. Better than Burger King.
Seriously, how did I not know about this place? I need to find the Mississauaga/​Toronto location!
