The owner/manager is a trip! Very welcoming and extremely happy about serving their food. We stopped by here around 6:00 on a Saturday and had about a 5 minute wait for our 4 top. The servers were extremely quick to clean our table and seat us. The tamales and enchilada combo was great. Two others had the seafood chimichanga and the Asada soft tacos which were also delicious. The only item we couldn’t vouch for was their vegetarian burrito. Thinking it would be filled with some black beans, fajitas, and cheese — it was an unpleasant surprise when she bit into a frozen bag of mixed vegetables. Although cooked, think carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, and some cheese wrapped up in a tortilla and covered with sauce. Overall a good place to grab Mexican in BV, just stay away from the vegetarian burrito.

Service was fast, the chicken mole was amazing, and the margarita was good. I’ll go back, and I recommend you check this place out.

Unexpected gem! Tiny, quaint, no frills, but excellent food! Perfect little patio with sun and shade makes for a nice stop driving through the Rockies. We liked the margaritas and guacamole!

This food is so fresh and good! Can’t judge a book by the cover. Place doesn’t look like much outside or inside but they must put all of their efforts into the food. Very tasty chicken verde enchilada and excellent guacamole. Don’t miss this place if you like Mexican feed.

This place was horrible. Bad service, disgusting/bland/boring food and worst of all the prices are WAY too high. $ 8.50 for French fries and fried chicken for a kids meal!!! GIVEME A BREAK. I am NEVER going back to this place.

Terrible service! Forgot many things and never came back to check on us. The food was bland and the meat was questionable. My stomach is still upset!

The mole enchiladas were awful: spongy and lukewarm. The sauce had no taste. Atmosphere was cute though.

20NOV2014 Boring, bland food made with no love. Boring, bland food made for tourists from the places in the USA where they eat boring, bland food. Colorado green chili with no pork, no picante taste and cool(temperature). Not recommended. — Prices are too high. $ 8.50 for a small burrito plate. — Store-bought chips. — No flavor. No spice. — Cheap«China stainless» flatware. + Wi-Fi. + Friendly staff. + Warm, cozy atmosphere on a cold Winter day.

I’m Mexican and this is Definitely not Authentic Mexican food, I stopped by 6÷28÷2015 and very little things if any on the menu caught my attention. So I figured I’d get the Carne Asada, which in my opinion it’s pretty hard to mess up. The taste was Blah, no salt! The menu said that the Carne Asada came with 2 Pieces, however I only got ONE, When I asked about it, The manager came by and said «Sorry we didn’t explain but if the Piece of Meat is big, You only get one and not 2!» They eventually got me a 2nd piece but they didn’t seem happy that their cook forgot to cut my Piece of meat in 2! Needless to say we were not too comfortable after that, I won’t be going back! But if you decide to, I hope your service is better than mine was!

While staying in Salida(at a B&B) we had our dog with us… and needed a place that had a patio that would allow us to bring our puppy in to eat. They did! They have a very nice shaded back patio away from the busy street. They were very nice about us having our puppy with us. My husband and I ordered the fajitas — beef, chicken and shrimp to share it’s for 2 people) and it was so very good. The SHRIMP are EXCELLENT! It came with soup or salad… I had the tortilla soup which was good… not spicy tho… husband had salad. The MARGARITAS were PERFECT! I would have to say the best I have ever had. It had a little orange flavor with lime… and is was so very very good! The SALSA was the very best we have ever had. Matter of fact, it was so good that we went back to this place for lunch the next day just so we could get $ 11 worth of the salsa to take home with us… came in a nice glass jar and small bag of chips. It was so good… just spicy enough, with onions and cilantro! Oh, our server, Asen, was good too! Friendly and attentive! THANKYOU!!! We very much enjoyed our visit(s).

Visited here while driving through for Ride the Rockies. Delicious food and an expansive menu of all you Mexican favorites. I also had a margarita and it was perfect. Service was friendly and fast and while we chose to sit inside, they also offer outdoor seating.
