They have an option for delivery but they do not deliver. They had to call me to let me know I would have to pick up. When I asked to cancel the order they said I need to contact eat24 to get a refund. Nope. They charged my card for the full amount including delivery fees. When I called back they said they would cancel the charges. It’s been 2 days and they haven’t refunded the online order I placed for delivery… Now I have to contact my credit card company and request a charge back. I’m sure their food is the same as the other locations, but this place is excellent at wasting my time.

Overall I’d give this place 2.5 stars. The restaurant is fairly big and casual with both booth and table seats. They have a bar area with a large TV if your in the mood to watch sports. Good for families or to hang out with friends. They serve Korean style pizza that is reminiscent of pizza places in Korea. Unfortunately, the food was sub par and unimpressive. Our pizza with sweet potato crust was very oil and not crispy. We also got a «make your own pizza» which was bland and the crust over baked. The salad and sample platter were average, nothing special. Price: definitely more expensive than your standard pizza joint. Most pizzas here were around $ 20 which fed about 2 – 3 people. Consider getting the package deals for a discounted price(combo of pizza, pasta and drinks) or to-go(you save 15%) to save money. Service: the young lady who served us was friendly but completely disorganized and overwhelmed. Our table was dirty and we didn’t get any utensils or napkins until we asked for it. Nobody was greeting customers at the front and some people left before they were seated. Sadly not a place I’d come back unless the food and service get better.

Such sweet nostalgia when it comes to Mr. Pizza. During my Korean adventures, Mr. Pizza was a place my friends and I went to for a respite of other Korean dishes; just to enjoy something slightly more familiar. The Mrs and I came to see if it stacked up to our Korean adventures and overall it was pretty good. The location is modern, chic and definitely different from its Korean counterpart. The menus themselves are beautifully crafter(albeit hard to read). We got the Potato Gold crust pizza topped with many different toppings and sweet potato filled crust(one of our main draws). We were really excited for the garlic dip, which is to die for, but unfortunately, they ran out at 12:30 pm(really, run out that early?). The price is pretty expensive for regular sized pizza(looks more like a small) but if you’re looking for Korean style pizza, you can’t really go wrong with Mr. Pizza. Never saw the appeal of Mr. Pizza. I didn’t get the whole thick crust, piled high with interesting combo of toppings. I always passed whenever Mr. Pizza was offered up as a meeting ground. Fast forward many, many years later I am practically going to be living next to one. So naturally when moving day arrived we decide to check them out. It came to about $ 50 for 2 pizzas, which I thought was a bit much. To be fair the ingredients feel more quality and they do pile it on. Well. Once I tried the gold crust(sweet potato). It was a game changer. It was chewy, sweet, soft, moist, and greasy, but man it just hit the spot. I just start craving it randomly time to time. I have a new found appreciation for Korean pizza. And I know what we’re having for dinner tonight! Just note that it takes a while for these pizzas to be made.

My Boyfriend and I ordered Hawaiian pizza, Cesar Salad, and the bacon carbonara linguine for pick up. We got home and opened the pasta to find that the«bacon» in the linguine was large chunks of raw bacon slices. I hope the manager reads this, your chef that was working tonight is pretty careless. If not for the raw bacon I would give 5 stars for great price and taste of the other food items we ordered.

So, my friend had an engagement party here at Mr. Pizza. They have a large private room that people can use for special occasions. The room itself is really large and has that nice rustic/modern vibe to it. I was one of the people in charge of decorating the room so I had to make several phone calls to the workers at Mr. Pizza. I was really amazed at their accommodations and service. First, the room is free of charge which is great. Second, every time I called to ask a question, they were always super nice and answered thoroughly. On the day of the engagement party I had to drop off things for decoration pretty early. They weren’t open yet but I really had no other choice but to drop them off. I believe they opened at 11 am or so, but I really had to drop things off around 10:30ish. I called the worker at Mr. Pizza and surprisingly, he answered! He said it was not a problem at all and when I got there, he opened the door for me. Literally, they weren’t even open yet. They were really good about decorating the party room. They let us do anything and even let us bring our own desserts. Seriously, it was great. Of course the food was great too. Oh yeah, and the party room had its own music system so we could play whatever music we wanted to. All in all the engagement party went super well thanks to the workers and great party room at Mr. Pizza!

Ordered through the EAT24 app The delivery guy was nice. This is my experience with food only. this was by far, the WORST food I’ve ever had! the fried chicken had little to ZERO meat! it was all breading,(which was disgusting) and skin, it was in a bed of what looks like 3 week old cabbage. smelled terrible! the pepperoni pizza is mediocre at best. The only saving grace was the appetizer combo plate, which seemed to be preprepared cosco brand deep fried foods and not bad. I will not be going back and, if I didn’t have my kids tonight would be taking this(what they pass off as food) back and asking for a refund.

Came in to try out Mr. Pizza for the first time tonight. We arrived last minute and fortunately Jake the manager was able to accommodate us. We ordered the«Greek gold» pizza which came with all fixings! We were extremely pleased with the customer service here and will definitely be coming back! By the way, the pizza was absolutely delicious and the sweet potato filled crust was a surprising compliment!

3.5 Stars for the food but 4 stars because value wise it was a pretty good deal. Nothing too special here. Came here for lunch, they have a $ 9.99 lunch special includes pizza /salad /soup /and a soda. You can opt the pizza out for a pasta or calzone if you like since it is MRPIZZA I chose the pizza. As far as the pizza goes you can choose about 4 out of the 20 they got. I got the Hawaiian Pizza and I really didn’t feel as if it was too special. It was decent but for $ 9.99 you cant really beat a pizza, soup, salad, and soda right? I think its a decent place to go for a bargain lunch but after eating at so many good pizza joints, Mr Pizza just doesn’t cut it for me anymore. Prompt friendly service, and very clean environment though makes it a decent place to go for lunch! The salad is basically just regular salad you know the lettuce that comes in a hamburger, the potato soup was pretty good though!

Finally got to go to this restaurant yesterday! I enjoyed my experience in terms of being with my boyfriend in a nice atmospheric restaurant. The servers were friendly and we received our food in a timely manner. We both ordered the lunch special. It is $ 9.99 each and we both ordered ours with the pizza. It comes with both soup and salad(that day their soup was cream of corn and the salad was tropical). It also comes with a drink. Pretty decent deal. We also ordered bulgogi fries for $ 7.99. They were okay. Not too exciting though. I ordered the bulgogi pizza and he ordered pepperoni. The crust tasted almost burnt. It was original crust, so hopefully their speciality crusts are better. The flavors of each pizza were okay. I expected something different for bulgogi. There wasn’t much flavor to the meat. As for the pepperoni, I would much rather have Costco’s. The soup was tasty. I did not like the garlic croutons on it though. They were quite strong for the soup. The salad was called tropical, but there was only one mandarin slice in it with a citrus-y dressing. In any case, I am glad we went for lunch to taste it. I would like to give it a second try because it is a relaxing environment.

Totally diffetent from mr pizzas back in Korea. The quality has decreased so much. If your expecting pizzas to be as delicious as Korea you better not go. I had the regular potato gold, bbq chicken pizza and an oven spaghetti. We waited about 20 minutes and when I finally got the pizza, it was pretty smaller than what I had expected. The spaghetti was cold and the cheese on the top wasn’t melted ATALL. It was drying out as if it had stayed out all day, probably just microwaved right after the order. The pizza was way too oily, and it didn’t taste flavorful at all except the sweet potato crusts. Plus it seems like they skimp toppings because there were barely any toppings on the pizza. Very disappointed. I would not recommend this place nor come back again. Costco pizzas are even better than this.

All the photos of the pizzas looked soooo appetizing! But I’m just so sad that taste did not match up to how wonderful they looked :( My boyfriend and I ordered a large pizza, half potato and half bulgogi on cheese crust($ 19.50 + $ 4 for the cheese crust). The cheese crust was like a piece of string cheese inside the crust. The cheese was not melted and gooey. I literally took out the cheese chunk from the crust and ate it like string cheese, strand by strand. Not sure if that was the intention(I hope it isn’t). The pizza taste was bland and unexciting. I could barely taste the bulgogi bits. I think in their attempt to be creative and unique, the flavors just became a hodge podge of ingredients. Bummer. My favorite part of the meal was the free garlic bread in the beginning. The service was great as well – attentive and friendly! I think we’d be back for the happy hour, but strictly drinks only, no food. Happy hour is ½ off beer from 6 pm to close nightly!

Korean Pizza is here. The best pizza franchise from Korea that is. And I’m a fan! They transformed the old King’s Garden to a hip and vibrant restaurant. As you enter your senses will be awaken. The smell of pizza dough baking is in the air, K Pop music can be heard and a beautiful dining area awaits you. Since it was my first time, I wanted to maximize my choice. So I went with the Romantic Combo — it’s ½ Lovely Piece and ½ Sweet Piece. Sweet Piece«Condensed milk sauce, corn, pineapple, sweet potato diced, bacon bits, almond flakes, streusel, cranberry, hash brown, emmental cheese and sweet potato mousse crust» Sweet it was(in a good way) I’ve never had a sweet pizza before and I like this one. Except for the bacon, this is basically a vegetarian pizza. The corn & cranberry stood out. Of course the bacon sealed the deal hahaha(sorry veggie people) Yum! Lovely Piece«Sweet chili sauce, bell pepper, rib eye steak, cajun shrimp, cream cheese, blue cheese, hash brown, emmental cheese and sweet potato mousse crust» DELICIOUS! This was a very savory pizza. Both the rib eye & shrimp stood out. As a whole, this was a very smartly crafted pizza. It didn’t have a lot of meat which is usually a deal breaker for me, but everything worked IMO. YUM. Service was friendly. Price is high for a pizza joint, but worth it IMO. Parking should not be an issue. They offer more than pizza here. Pastas dominates a good part of the menu. Something to look forward to. Erase your preconceived notion of what a pizza is when you come here and you might be surprised. Korean pizza is GOOD! Different but still GOOD! 2015 Review #172

Unilocal Challenge 2015. 233⁄365 Does Pizza get you excited? It gets me going almost everytime. Especially a place a friend promised to take me to several times, but changes her mind when it is time to go. A place I have been dreaming about. Luckily for her, Mr Pizza came to my part of town. Saved me a trip to KTown. In fact, Mr Pizza is considered an icon in Korea. #1 pizza. Can you believe it? #1! Brand new to the Buena Park area. Located on North Beach Blvd, south of Malvern. It is near the wanna be DDs. The ambiance is cool. Super modern. Wooden tables, large booths. Just a cool vibe. Buuuuuuut… it is very dark inside. With dark menus and tiny little letters in the same color family made it impossible to read. Background on the menus were redish brown, and font at about a point 8 in orange. Style is one thing, but legibility is another. I was starting to second guess my near perfect vison. Luckily when they saw us pull out our phone lights, struggling to see, they increased the lighting. Still I was squinting. Maybe I needed a magnifying glass. There are different crust options for the pizza. As far as I know there are zero descriptions on the crusts. We had to ask. Even then we didn’t get a good description. Let it be a mystery. Service…We were greeted and seated right away. The resturant was near empty, an hour before closing. It took a few minutes to meet the first waiter. We asked for water, and he disappeared. Never saw our water. Waiter #2 arrived, we ordered water again. This time it came. Refills on water were hard to come by. We drink a lot of water. I know there is a water shortage but I know there is no shortage of staff, because they seemed to be fully staffed. We ordered a regular size Bugolgi pizza on cheese crust and a sampler plate. After we ordered a few pieces of complementry garlic bread came out. They looked over cooked to me, a little burnt. Hubsters said it was okay, nothing special. Then both menu items came out at the same time. Instead of the appetizer coming first. Dinner was close to $ 35.00. I didn’t see the bill but, Im pretty sure there is an extra charge for crust, or the over charged us. If there is an extra charge, they sure didnt warn us. My Bugolgi experience, was not as wonderful as I’d hoped. We had it on the cheese crust. Which was not as flavorful as we hoped. It was stuffed with mozerella cheese. The skimpy tomatoe based sauce was hard to taste. The green peppers were an odd touch. It didnt really go well with the pizza profile. Maybe they were present just for color, definitely not for taste. The Bugolgi was more of a ground beef, instead the hunks of meat you may be used too. The regular size is really really tiny for 2 hungry adults with a $ 14.50 price tag. They say 8 slices, but they are not true slices. They are tiny slices. Luckily I am watching my carb intake and only ate 1 slice. If I were not watching my intake, that pizza would of been destroyed quickly. So it is better to go large if your sharing. Or if your a big pizza eater like I used to be, order 2 regulars. The sampler platter looked good. Maybe not worth the $ 15.00 price tag. Again not a whole lot of food if your sharing. I nibbled on the carrots and celery and left the rest for the hubsters. Kind of disappointed with all the hype here. I did not have the 5 star experirnce I had hoped for. Maybe you will have a different experience than we did. #716

Small disclaimer: It was disclosed to me by one of the servers that they are still in the process of refining and establishing their items. They, for one, did not have any dipping sauces to offer. For all you people who know me, this is a huuuge no bueno. That being said, I expect that my reviews will change in the future once they bring their establishment to completion. I love the ambiance of this place!!! There’s something about wood furnishing that leaves a strong impression upon me. The natural wood grain as well as all the horizontal lines paired with the size of this place makes everything seem rustic and grand. It does leave a bitter sweet taste considering what our trees were murdered for. Another thing I liked was how the kitchen is wide open for everyone to see. It’s definitely entertaining to watch the pizza making process. The tossing of the pizza pie dough is so legit! The food was not memorable at all. From the potato skins we ordered to the 3 different pizza combinations my party settled with, I found everything to be lacking. The bulgogi flavor from the bulgogi pizza, for one was lost and nowhere to be found. Like so, I felt that the other pizzas were lacking in some way. I am hoping these are one of the things they’ll be refining as well. The sweet potato crust was decent though… it just needed a nice dipping sauce. Something that I found to be rather pleasant was the pineapple and mango soft serve. The mango more so than the pineapple. They worked as a great finisher, cool and refreshing after a rather heavy, greasy, and carb heavy meal. The mango flavor leaves a pleasing nectar/honey — like subtle taste that lingers on your palate. The pineapple is definitely a great choice of you’re looking for something that is more tart in nature. I’ll definitely have to be back to see what changes they decide to make.

CRAZY! My wife Your food she’s into You’ve got that something few others can do Pizza With sweet potato gold crust Bulgogi topping is a definite must We’ve been here two times and she’s left satisfied When I’m in the doghouse, it’s here that I’ll bring my bride You know it’s CRAZY! How much my wife likes this place My son likes it too He leaves with a smile on his face CRAZY! Best pickles I’ve had I’d give this place four stars If the service wasn’t so bad. Both times After one server our order takes down Thirty seconds later another server comes around Then he/she asks to take our order again Have they been through training? If so, I’d like to know when They’ve tried to put other’s people food on our table They forgot to bring us garlic bread, so inconsistent and unstable It makes me CRAZY! That the workers are nice, But the training that they’ve gone through It doesn’t suffice CRAZY! When after I paid my bill with cash They bring me back the change With another table’s tab… For my salad, I wanted to get tomatoes or apples instead of pepperoncini The waiter said $ 1.50 extra! WOW! The rule just is so meanie! It makes me CRAZY! When so many employees just standing and looking And so many mistakes are made Service quality they’re overlooking CRAZY! But you know I’ll soon go back I just hope that the service improves So more Unilocal!stars I can stack. PS: During yesterday’s visit, I asked the difference between the Potato Gold and the Potato with the Gold Crust added(the former is $ 1.50 more than the latter). His answer was not adequate nor accurate.

I was glad to see Mr. Pizza in the SoCal area because I go to the La location time after time. However this location was disappointing. Upon entering, we were greeted with a smile by the hostess and taken to a table. Normally when you sit down, there’s a server ready to greet himself/herself and ask for our beverage order, but not in this case. I saw over 15 employees working in the kitchen, behind the counter, on the floor, and so on, yet I didn’t get to order my drink 10 minutes after sitting down. The restaurant was not busy and I remember seeing 7 guests between 3 tables… minus mine. I ordered an Oven Pasta with Pink Sauce and a Gold Premium. It took roughly 25 — 30 minutes just to get the Oven Pasta then another 15 — 20 minutes for the Pizza. That’s not an acceptable wait time, especially when you gave us stale garlic bread that tasted like it was sitting under a heat lamp for hours. Oven Pasta was good, the pasta was nicely cooked and the sauce was delicious, however, the soggy pizza dough on top is kind of unappetizing. The pizza was nice made and good, but the sweet potato inside the dough was soggy and barely there to even taste. Overall, the service was slow when the restaurant wasn’t busy and has 15+ employees that’s visible to the eye and the food was mediocre. You can have the same standards, same recipe, but in multiple locations, you just can’t copy it exactly.

Block party in Buena Park?! Forget the Big Bang concert at Staples Center and Honda Center. Let’s bring them to Beach and Malvern. I wouldn’t be surprised if YG Entertainment came with Big Bang and 2NE1, along with SM Entertainment’s Super Junior and Girl’s Generation(SNSD) and the city closed down Beach Blvd to have a K-pop block party. If you recall, the block party sort of happened last year with the 31st Arirang Korean Festival on Beach and La Mirada Blvd/Malvern minus the big name Korean K-pop stars. And we can’t forget about the flooded complaints regarding the heavy traffic. Maybe that’s why this year’s event, the 32nd Arirang Korean Festival, will be in Fullerton(Euclid and Rosecrans) according to the Arirang OC website. Mr. Pizza, the number one pizza chain in Korea marked its debut in Los Angeles and now is testing the market here in Buena Park with a delivery option available. Mr. Pizza took over the former space of King’s Garden, a Korean style Chinese restaurant that has been in business since the late 90s. Growing up in Buena Park, that was literally the only Korean style Chinese restaurant in the area and then fast forward to 15 years and BOOM, we are now spoiled with so many other Korean food options and choices. I admit, I take it for granted. Popular pizzas that comes with the famous Gold Crust(sweet potato crust with sweet potato mousse filling): Shrimp Gold — Salsa sauce, corn, Cajun shrimp with all the bells and whistles of a veggie pizza. Potato Gold — Unique flavors with Korean style cooked bacon meaning the bacon is soft and not as crispy, sliced onions, potato wedges, most of the vegetable toppings of the Shrimp Gold and topped with sour cream. Half & Half — Reg $ 21 Large $ 29 Get the best of both worlds with half Shrimp Gold and Potato Gold Classic Pizzas(comes with plain crust) Bulgogi(bulgogi is marinated beef) — Reg $ 14.50 L $ 19.50 A Korean BBQ pizza, but couldn’t taste the Korean marinade because the meat is ground beef(it should be beef slices) and the size of the ground beef pieces are pebbles. The pizza could use more bulgogi to bring out the what the pizza is intended to represent, the taste of Korean BBQ. Read the menu carefully. It can be overwhelming with all the choices and information on there. But I’m here to break it down. The crust comes in plain unless otherwise stated on the menu. Most of the premium pizzas come with the signature crust, the Gold(sweet potato mousse crust). If you don’t want a crust that comes with a specific pizza you can change/upgrade the crust. Small $ 2 Reg $ 3 Large $ 4 Plain Egg Tart Hash Brown Gold — Their signature crust. Sweet potato crust with sweet potato mousse filling. Must try. I’m a fan because I’m not a pizza crust fan and usually don’t eat it. But this crust is tasty and makes me wanting more after each bite. Broccoli Mousse Mocha Bun Cheese Crust — Similar to Pizza Hut’s Stuffed Crust, a plain crust with melted mozzarella inside. It was plain for me, but others enjoyed it. I would like the idea of a mozzarella cheese crust. That would have much more flavor. Extra toppings Small $ 1 Reg $ 2.50 Large $ 2 As a sauce enthusiast, I have to go over the sauces: Tabasco — Available at every table, but it’s in a generic bottle. It’s the first time I have seen the iconic hot sauce not in the Tabasco bottle. $ 0.75 each Garlic Ranch — It’s a tangy ranch and less cream. Blue Cheese Service The team is staffed with mainly young and energetic people. Some speak better English than others. Make sure if you need anything to request it. As with Korean fried chicken(BBQ Chicken on Beach and Malvern and KoKo Chicken on Dale and Commonwealth), the pizza is light and not as greasy. And if you eat moderately, you don’t get the heavy and«why did I eat that?» feeling afterwards. Be forewarned that the prices aren’t like your local Domino’s and Pizza Hut with ultra budget friendly online coupons these days. Be prepared to pay $ 20-$ 30 for the premium pizzas, which is a downside. Prices should be more competitive since there are so many options for pizza. To my understanding, you’re paying for the K-pop like feel, the modern pub like interior and the quality of ingredients. It’s gourmet and uses different and quality toppings to fit and please the Korean taste buds. Koreans enjoy light and less greasy flavors. Imagine it as a family style pizza parlor, which you don’t see much of these days. The last time I actually ate inside a brick and mortar Pizza Hut was in the late 90s and I still remember the distinctive Pizza Hut aroma as soon I walked in during my childhood. Mr. Pizza is trying to bring it back and recreate the«talk about your day around the dinner table» family feel, but with a Korean twist. Walk through the doors with an open mind to embrace the Korean culture and appreciate history evolve through your very own eyes. Diveristy is what Buena Park represents. Welcome to the new age Korea Town.
