Love love love their food!!! The big bbq is bomb, their Mac and cheese is creamy, and their potatoes are to die for. They have the soft ice and awesome sweet tea. They also give you free soft serve ice cream which is so yummy. There are three locations near us and I can’t get enough of any of them.

I have been to The Park City Utah Dickeys no less than 5 times in the last 6 months. They have run out of Ribs every time by 7 pm. I had to order whatever else was left. One would think they’d learn by now to plan their food orders for the customer base. The BBQ is good, but not when planning to eat ribs and getting anything but. I’m not going back.

Date of service 6÷13÷16 6:13pm Check #10071 Overall, I’m not impressed by what they had to offer. I got the Pulled Pork and the Sliced Brisket plate. Pulled pork was cold to the touch so I’m guessing it was sitting on the cutting board for a bit away from the heat lamp. Tasted pretty good smothered in BBQ sauce though. The sliced Brisket made me want to pick something else as the brisket itself was over ½ of pure fat and just covered in grease. I threw half of it out. Baked potato cup was covered in green onions but once I picked the majority ouch it was delicious. Mac & cheese is mac and cheese. Can’t go wrong there. The first roll I got was tough, I mean rock solid tough. Had to rip it open to even eat it. I purchased($.54) a second one and that one had to be from another batch of rolls because this one was almost perfect. Overall– it’s ok.(Although I am comparing it to Dallas, Texas Dickeys in which blew my socks off compared to this. Would come back if I was in the area, but to come back specifically for this. I’ll pass.(Still better than Lucilles though)

I would take this star back if I could and throw it in Chris’s face after his rude attitude and smirk. You really need to not have this job as anyone would be better at it than you are. Your rude comments and disrespect towards a customer is a shame. Last week I was informed I could use my customer value card promotion along with the Kids eat Free. If that wasn’t the case just kindly explain. I don’t even like the sandwich that much just explain 2 coupons can’t be used. Instead you’re rude, roll your eyes and don’t give your name when I ask, instead pick up the phone to help someone and smirk at me. Seriously, I made the mistake of coming back here and he made the mistake of being rude. When a customer tells you they are going to complain(again) you may want to do everything you can to resolve the issue before they leave(already on the phone.) I only have 10 years experience as a District Manager along with 10 in retail, in addition to a kid who I have to teach everyday to be respectful of others. When we walked in he said«I thought we weren’t coming here again?» and I said we were giving them another chance. My mistake, I’ll never go back here unless it’s to take a photo of the«Closed for Business» sign.

my friend recommend me to go here for BBQ and i say, i don’t regret it. i had the three meat plate and it was good. they also have 3 type of bbq sauce on the side you can try, which they are all good. the meat rib, the softest ribs i ever had and perfectly seasoned. chicken was good soft and not dry but this one needs BBQ sauce. the brisket was so good, may or may not need sauce. my two sides was bean and caesar salad which both was excellent seating area is pretty decent, maybe it can seat about 50 people, the place seems clean, but my table wasn’t clean but i did choose the dirty one to sit… the seating area has poor ventilation, i understand this is a bbq place, and i like my food smoked but not me as well. the service was good, they explains things well and work with you when i had difficult time choosing what i wanted.

I was sent here by my boss because we are trying to find a place that can cater one of our employee meetings. So I came in and made sure that I got one of each item. I repeated my order to make sure that nothing was misheard since I can’t afford to forget anything. As I was refilling the drink orders, I was given my order thinking that everything was there. As soon as we are setting up the sample testing for our 50 employee meeting I notice that they forgot our fries. So sadly we couldn’t taste all of there items. I was so upset that we paid for it and never received it. Since it isn’t that close I didn’t go back for it. It was because of that incident with a simple order that they got eliminated as a cater. If they couldn’t get a simple order for 5 people I can only imagine 50 people.

For those of u that haven’t been here and planning on coming… It’s thru the mall… Where the movie theater is. About the food. This place is alright. I got the 2 plate meal with pulled pork and polish sausage. Pulled pork is bland… I think I expected it to have more flavor. The polish sausage is ok… I’d prefer the ones I buy at the market. The two sides I had: bbq beans — yummy, can’t really go wrong with that; and potato casserole — basically mashed potatoes with cheese on top. They have a self serve ice cream inside by the drinks. It wasn’t bad, but I’m not a huge ice cream eater, so my ok might be yummy to anyone else . Gotta try new places at least once!

My boyfriend and I have been coming to this dickeys for about a year now and we love it. We’ve been to several others and there is one closer to home but this location however is the best! This particular location participates in weekly specials. The cashiers are very helpful and friendly. Dickeys has become our go-to spot!

This place has some of the best BBQ, especially for the price. The owner is really nice. It’s slow during the week, but that makes it an excellent place to study — its right up the street from Cypress College. Don’t sleep on this place, check it out! PS its on the opposite side of the mall from Walmart, across from the theater!

The Good: A chain bbq joint that meh. The prices are cheap for a bbq place, I got a 2 meat special with 2 sides for $ 12.99. The pulled pork was juicy and tender, my favorite of the two, the other meat was the brisket. The brisket was too lean and not cooked long enough, it was a bit tough for me. I love my brisket butter soft and fatty. The mac and cheese was solid and the green beans with bacon was also meh. The Bad: A average bbq joint that not worth driving to but if you are in the area and want some bbq it’s worth a visit. The Ben: Cheap bbq that’s average. Still trying to find the best bbq in the OC area.

Good fast food bbq place in the Buena Park mall. Pro– specials are good like porked pull on Fridays at $ 10. Service was friendly and quick. Portions are reasonable like medium size Mac n cheese! Plus you get to make your own soft serve ice cream cone! Con– seating area is small and limited. Tables need to be cleaned more often.

I really like that they have $ 9.99 daily specials here because you get a whole lot of good food for cheap. I came on a Saturday where the special was a chopped brisket big barbecue sandwich that came with two sides and a drink. The sandwich was really nice. I enjoyed the quality of the meat in combination with the barbecue sauce. It also had pickles and onions which helped to provide another dimension of flavor and a more pronounced tangy-ness to the sandwich. They gave me one of those huge yellow cups for my drink, and I took advantage of the free ice cream to create a root beer float to go along with my sandwich. They also have a barbecue sauce station which has three types of barbecue sauces and containers for you to take them either to go or back to your table. Your choices are sweet(which I really liked), original(which I also really liked), and spicy(not very spicy). I think out of all of them sweet was my favorite because it was sweet without being overly sweet. Their sides are also great. I ordered the fried okra and the fried onion tanglers. Both tasted very great in combination with the barbecue sauces. The okra was still nice and juicy on the inside while being super crispy on the outside. I really enjoyed it because it was well seasoned and perfectly fried. I can definitely say the same about the onion tanglers. They were amazing! As I mentioned before, for dessert they have free ice cream and ice cream cones, so you can get a huge meal here for under $ 10 that has quality food and dessert.

Leaving the Krikorian(Movie) Theatre in Buena Park Mall we spotted Dickey’s BBQ. They share the outdoor plaza. Like many of the eating establishments surrounding the theater, Dickey’s offers a discount on food if you flash your movie ticket. BBQ is hit or miss with me. I grew up with uncles who cooked the dickens out of pork and beef ribs. Sadly, I never learned to cook them myself. And I find most commercial joints don’t come close to their tangy, tender, fall-off-the-bone quality. Then into my life wafts Dickey’s. Hubby suggested we stop. He ordered the rib plate, which included 2 sides. He chose potato salad and barbecued beans. In the interest of healthier eating, I ate his beans. Loved the BBQ sauce. Licked my lips. While he gnawed on a rib bone I noticed how easily the meat detached from the bone. Hmm. «Let me try one,» I said as I reached for the smallest digit. Yum. The ribs were pretty darn good. We, also, ordered medium cups for fountain drinks. Like everything in Texas, they were WAYTOOBIG! The condiments(onions, pickles, chili peppers) area is kept neat and clean. Very appealing. In fact, the entire restaurant is nicely maintained. No sticking to the plastic table clothes. For those who like dessert, they offer self-serve ice cream cones. No extra charge. Nice inducement to eat-in or chomp up while you wait for your take-out order to be packed. We have been back a couple times, trying different entrees. So far the pork rib plate is still our favorite. Watch their chalkboard for daily specials.

I was always skeptical to try this place, but I’m glad I gave it a try. I came in on a Monday for an early dinner, and opted to try their Monday special– pulled pork sandwich with two sides and a drink. The pulled pork was tender and flavorful. I also got the waffle fries and the bbq beans. Both those sides were delicious. My favorite though, was the spicy bbq sauce. I loved the kick and the flavor of the sauce. To top it all off, there is free soft serve ice cream!

Surprisingly good BBQ! For a chain they really do an outstanding job of bringing tasty American BBQ favorites to the table. This location is in the Buena Park Downtown mall on the backside next to the theaters. The menu was a bit confusing at first but after studying it for a couple minutes it made sense. Every day they offer a special that adds up to be a few dollars cheaper than normal. That’s what I opted to do. The special that day was 3 beef ribs plus two sides and a drink for just under $ 10. I chose BBQ beans and potato salad as my sides. They also give you a biscuit and some pickles & onions. After ordering at the counter I took my «big yellow cup» to the beverage area to get some iced tea and my order was ready before I even sat down. The ribs were smokey and had a delicious sauce on them. Not as meaty or large as my favorite BBQ places but honestly I had no complaints — they were really good. The BBQ beans were superb and even though I usually can take or leave potato salad I think Dickey’s is one of the better potato salads I’ve enjoyed. They also have free soft serve ice cream. I remembered this as I was in my car driving away. Can you believe I spaced out and forgot to get some FREE ice cream after my lunch!!! I’ll definitely be back again to try their other meats. And get some ice cream.

This is a pretty cool and low key BBQ spot. Imagine BBQ but fast food style… And it’s not bad at all. It was my first time and I ordered the Monday special, which consisted of a pulled pork sandwich with 2 sides and a drink. The 2 sides I chose were Mac n’ cheese and Jalapeño bbq beans. The sandwich was pretty good, I love the fact that the meat was clean, no fat in sight. Flavor was good, but even better with the BBQ sauce! They offer 3 different kinds of BBQ sauce: original, sweet, and spicy(all very good). I wasn’t a big fan of the Mac n’ cheese, it was a bit dry and not as much flavor(it sort of taste like they only used one kind of cheese and use a lot of it, so it’s very think). Overall it’s decent, clean, and affordable. I’ll definitely be back to try out something else!

For years I had been hoping an American BBQ joint would be placed in our venue. Our nation’s BBQ is truly BBQ! Dickey’s is truly within the definition of what it should be(cooked on wood or charcoal with a delicious sauce that has a smell and taste which ventures you inside the restaurant). Heading into the Downtown Buena Park mall section(which in some instances could be called our city’s second Ghost Town(Knott’s Berry Farm’s being the first) because of its empty space), the smell worked as my appetite’s GPS in directing me to the eatery. Walking in and looking at the menu, my taste buds increased and my hunger enhanced. Each day they have a special and the one I ordered was truly special! A beef brisket sandwich on a delicious bun with a variety of condiments raised to my heart’s content. The side orders are diverse and delicious(chose potato salad and BBQ beans). I truly enjoyed every bite and ate with vigor! It came with a drink and you are provided a free ice cream cone after your meal(I just wish they would offer beef ribs as an alternative for those of us who don’t eat pork). All-in-all, with what they offer and when they offer it(plus, the outstanding service), Dickey’s BBQ is a real quicky for providing you a delightful day and night!

Brand new BBQ chain next to the Krikorian in Buena Park. My husband had tried Dickey’s in Nebraska and thought it was pretty good. We both ordered the 2 meat plate($ 12.50) with 2 sides and a roll. Although the portions seem small, we were pretty full and had to take home leftovers. Flavor was good for the pulled pork, brisket, polish sausage and ribs. We also enjoyed the mac n cheese and warm roll. The green beans with bacon were a little overcooked and greyish, but not terrible, just unappetizing to look at. We’re going to use these guys to cater an upcoming event so you know we liked it pretty well!
