These guys are amazing!!! Super friendly and very fun. They were knowledgeable and made us feel right at home. We had an amazing tasting and ended up buying a few bottles because the wine is just that good!

At first, when you walk in you may be unimpressed. The tasting room is small and uninspiring and maybe a little boring looking. Nothing wrong with it, just not that fantastic. But then you taste the wine and that more than makes up for the not so cool tasting room. Each wine is delicious, you will not be disappointed at all. The white are amazing and even though I am normally not a huge fan of Pinot Noir I actually liked theirs. Chris was helping us and he was very nice, helpful and knowledgeable about wine, beer, and the area. They also have some good sales on wine so we were able to pick up some bottles are very reasonable prices.

Morgan and her wines are amazing! A trip to this region without tasting these wines would be a shame. Thank you Morgan for being so accommodating and gracious! We love Cold Heaven!

A friend talked about CH’s Viognier but could not find it in the AZ. So during our central coast wine shipment club pickups we like to visit a new winery each trip, CH was a good choise, got lost twice before landing but it is easy to find, just don’t use an old nav system! Jamie was working the line shift, she was a ROCKSTAR! Really took care of us! I love Viognier for spring, took home the 11 San & Ben. Very nice Viognier !

I’ve been a central coast Syrah and Pinot fan for years. My friends had told me about CH’s Viognier but whites just weren’t that appealing to me. I’ve now broadened my horizons thanks to Morgan’s skills. I had a great time at the tasting room during this year’s annual Vintner’s Festival weekend(an event I’ve been attending for 15 years). Well worth a stop if you’re tasting in the area. Also easy to get to if you’re just driving by. Everyone knows about their Viognier but they’re starting to put out some tasty Pinot Noir. Can’t wait until next year!

I love Viognier. I’ve been buying Cold Heaven Viognier since they had a tasting room over in Los Alamos, just north of Los Olivos. Now, the tasting room/winery is just off the 101 kinda behind Anderson’s Pea Soup. CH’s Viognier is dry, but has good fruit. There isn’t a bottling I haven’t enjoyed, but the 2008 Sanford and Benedict Vineyard is my current favorite. I now buy CH’s Pinots and Syrahs, too. I don’t like many CA Syrahs, but these are elegant and light on their feet. JC is usually in the tasting room. She is awesome. Morgan, the owner and winemaker, has shown up the last two times I was in tasting. Now, that’s great, to meet a super-star winemaker! And she’s funny. And cute. So is JC. I always leave the tasting room with something(even though I’m a wine club member and get regular shipments). Today, with some specials going on, it was 3 cases! Stop here. You can’t just drink Chardonnay.

We’ve been coming to Cold Heaven since they had that little tasting room in… well, wherever that was. I like the new tasting room, since it has the whole winery right there. The first time we stopped in, Morgan(the owner/winemaker) told us all about her business. She buys grapes and makes kick-ass wine. She is not a farmer or a horticulturist, she is just a winemaker. Also, she is not afraid to say she is the best, and that she has the best Viognier anywhere. Bold statement, and she backs it up. She is cool with her competitors, and wasn’t afraid to send us to another winery, saying«Tell that bitch he needs to call Morgan.» Okay! We were on our way to the Firestone restaurant and it showed up. The place is just off the freeway, in what looks like a little office park. They weren’t even open yet, but still let us in. The girl there talked to us more like friends than people she was selling wine to. But she didn’t need to «sell» anything; this Viognier is just the best. But apparently everything else is as well. In the middle of everything, she decides to show us around, give us «the tour». It took all of 15min, but very intersting. It’s a small place, and lots of good stuff goes down there. In the end, we took a few bottles home. They were also excited to hear that we talk them up to our local vendors. Oh yeah, we tell those bitches to give Morgan a call!

Great little wine tasting room tucked away close to Solvang and all the other attractions. They specialize in cold climate viogniers, and I have to say, they’re fantastic. The girls that worked at the tasting room were not only adorable and nice, but so knowledgeable. We learned a lot from them, and they certainly added to the experience. Definitely a must try if you love whites, especially viogniers. We’ll be back!
