These guys are the best when it comes to solar in central Texas and maybe even the central corridor of the greater United States. You basically get a 2 for 1 deal on this because it is family owned by two brothers that are master electricians and wizards in the solar universe. Good luck getting them out to fix a light switch without 3 days’ notice but if you are looking to upgrade the central charging station for your fancy space ship car that runs on sun beams and magical dreams them you are in the right place.

HE Solar installed our 12.4 kWp system fast, efficiently, and right on budget. They show up when scheduled and don’t take breaks. Equally great is the equipment they install. It works right out of the box. They set up my computer to monitor production and I couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend HE Solar LLC from Buda, TX.

Very professional, very neat, very friendly! HE Solar installed a Nema 14 – 50 connector for us, they took care of the permit, came over, connected the new outlet to our panel, then cleaned everything and left us with a very neat installation!

HEsolar installed panels on our house at the beginning of November. I was very impressed by the owners, Eric and Derrick Hoffman. They and their small crew installed the whole system in two days. They worked with me (an architect) to make the installation aesthetically pleasing in regards to panel placement, routing of the electrical and the inverter location.
During the research stage I contacted several companies, but ended up going with HEsolar due to their good info (great website), quick response and the site visit. Of course price was a consideration and their pricing was slightly better than the local competition. The equipment and warranty are all top quality.
The other aspect of this is financing. HEsolar works with Enerbank — and they were also easy to work with.

So far, so great! I have been working with «good twin» Derrick and he has been very responsive to my questions. The system was installed on time, and the final inspection just took place and the new AE meter installed today. From the bidding process through today, I have been very pleased with HESolar’s professional ethics during the process. Seems like the City of Austin and AE have the highest respect for these young Master Electricians. I wanted to give my business to a small local company and I believe I made the right decision with the Hoffman twins. Time will tell now if this system pays off in the way of producing solar energy enough to lower my bills substantially. I am proud to have gone green and I highly urge you to give these young men a shot at your business.

Couldn’t have had a better experience. Attention to detail incredible. These guys are industrial artists not just solar technicians or electricians. Eric and Derrick, the owners of the company, did all of the installation with one helper. They came when they said they would and before the sale were very patient to answer all my many questions. They didn’t compromise on the quality of the components. HESolar was the only company who came out and got on my roof to measure the shading during the pre-​sales and design process. The other companies did everything remotely via internet and wanted something signed before they would even come out and inspect my job site and verify about any shading. HESolar’s price was competitive with the other major companies also while providing solar modules made in the USA. Oh, and our array kicked out about 26kWh of electricity after they put it in service around lunchtime. It appears if it had been in service the entire day we would have had net zero, possibly negative, consumption from the grid. Today might just be «grid freedom day». We wanted to install solar panels on our roof, and while doing research on installers and different solar systems I met Eric Hoffman and Derrick Hoffman at the Renewable Energy Roundup at Fredericksburg.
I was impressed by them at the Roundup and invited them to provide a quote.
I also contacted several other solar companies, and obtained 4 different quotes.
After reviewing them all, I had HEsolar modify their quote to upgrade their proposal to a 6kW system.
Even after enlarging the system their quote was the most cost competitive.
During the install I found working with them to be delightful. They were always on time, very courteous, explained what they were doing along the way.
The system is now installed and operating and we couldn’t be more pleased.
I highly recommend HEsolar for anyone contemplating a solar installation.

I wanted to take advantage of the City of Austin’s solar rebate and contacted about a dozen different solar companies. Some didn’t even call me back, but many of them were very helpful. A few even came out to my house to do a site assessment, but Eric and Derrick (yes, that’s really their names) were one of only two companies to actually get up on the roof and take measurements to figure out how many solar panels would fit. When I received all the bids from the different installation companies, the one from HE Solar was the lowest on a dollar per watt basis. And when I selected them for the job, they were able to begin quickly and, despite the mid-​August heat, they were able to get the job done quickly. The kept me updated on the progress of the installation and got back to me quickly whenever I had any questions. The even set it up so that I can check the output from my system on an app on my smartphone. Overall, I was very happy with with their work and would highly recommend them.
