Terrible decision to come here and grab a cheesesteak. Ive had them at other tony lukes besides the original and this one is not up to par.

2.5 stars for Tony’s Acme stand… order at the kiosk and pickup your order in about 10 minutes… easy enough to do while you shop, but I’m utterly unimpressed with the cheesteaks here… I have had the roast pork, and am a fan of that… but it is NOT quite the same the original Tony Lukes, I don’t even enjoy it as much as the Tony Lukes in Citizens Bank Park. I’m not sure if the original Tony Lukes actually sliced his pork from a roast, but these satelite stores most certainly do not. They take sliced pork(aka lunchmeat) and drop it in the hot Au Jus, then put it on the roll with your cheese… I’ve had a few of them and enjoyed them, but they are NOT as good as the ones you get from the REAL Tony Lukes in the city. So, as excited as I was to have this option right around the corner, my elation quickly soured as the sandwiches became bland to me. The final straw was getting extra bugs in my tony luke’s sandwich… they fly right in the front door of the acme and go right over to the delicous hot food… can the acme put in some kinda bug zappers back there? Maybe I should wait till winter to order when the bugs are gone…

A dream come true for those on the Main Line! The sandwiches are the classic and the convenient location in the Acme makes getting your cheesesteak fix and groceries super easy and super delicious. Now they just need to open a branch in NYC!

Whats that honey? You need something from Acme? OK I will go and get it for you, stay and relax babes, I got this. Shopping made easier with you steering a cart with one hand while eating a traditional whiz wit with the other hand in the isles, leaving little pieces of cheese covered steak on the floor.(not that I did that) That’s right folks Tony Lukes is in the Acme. Along with this new addition, they also have a frozen section in the frozen foods isle. These guys went and opened up little shop in deli area of the Acme trying to corner the market, maybe try to push out chicken Mondays? . I am not a huge fan of these guys, they are good don’t get me wrong, it saves me a drive to Manayunk or South Philly for the ones I do prefer. Is it like the one in South Philly you are wondering? No they don’t have the condiments stand, a wider selection of sandwiches, or benches for you to sit and eat at unless you go outside, no longer a long waiting line outside dealing with the elements. Are they the greatest steaks out there? No, but they will do for now until they add a rival in there. **hint hint Johns Roast Pork hint hint ** They open a little after 10:30 am, close up shop at 8pm. At least this isn’t a tourist trap yet like the other 2 in Philly. Another plus is you can call in your order for when you would like to pick up your traditional sandwich . Tony Lukes can be found almost every where now from the regular stand in S. Philly, shopping malls, casino, ball parks now Acme. Now I am waiting for them to open up shop in Delilahs or some schnazzy erotic club. That is what we call taking over!
