Ami’s halt.

We were greeted and sat quickly and mentioned it was my Moms B-day. Our waitress Shauna was so sweet brought my Mom a biscuit with a candle in it without us even asking! Our breakfasts were great! Denver omelette was enough for two! Biscuits very good! Coffee was refilled very frequently without even asking AND she offered free take away cups with coffee! Amazing! Had such a great first breakfast we came back for more today! Such friendly attentive staff, this is your breakfast local gem!

Context is everything. Out here, this was a great spot. First things first — the cream pie is amazing. Save room for dessert. Get the blueberry & banana, it’s fresh fruit and perfect texture cream and graham cracker crust. We ordered takeout. Got some soup and chicken strips. Basic, but good. They even comped the lady’s iced tea as we waited. Super friendly service — seems to be run by a family.

3.5 stars is spot on for this place. We came on Tuesday of Thanksgiving week and the place was slammed. Only this place and the poorly rated Best Western buffet restaurant are open in the winter. The ambiance is very cozy and cute. We shared a cup of the creamy tomato soup(boy, was that creamy and thick!), and then the 16oz ribeye. We asked for it medium well, but it was well done. For sides we had rice pilaf and we had ordered a baked potato but received mashed potatoes. Whatever. Po-tay-to Po-tah-to. Everything was meh, 2 or 3 stars. But oh boy, that cream pie for dessert. My goodness. Amazing. We had the banana and strawberry cream pie. Holy buckets. So good. I’d skip the steak entrée and order something else next time. But definitely save room for pie.

Stopped by here to grab a bite to eat after we checked into the motel next door. Even though they were supposed to be closed they let us sit down and served us. Cute look inside and they treated us nicely and the service was excellent. Grilled ham and cheese sandwich was good and the fruit pie(boysenberry)? Was good. They served it with whipped cream and did not cost extra.

Nice restaurant located near the Bryce Canyon Pines motel. Comfort food made fresh and served with western friendliness. We had a breakfast and a dinner there both vey good with large portions. Country Western music playing unobtrusively in the background. If you are from the NY area take a deep breath and relax since the service while professional is at an easy, unhurried pace. Worth the wait.

For the area, this place was a true gem. We had eaten crap for two days. The Ruby’s restaurant and the Foster’s Steakhouse were just plain bad. The guy leading us on horse trail ride told us about Bryce Canyon Pines. It looks similar to Foster’s but the food was excellent. Home made soups, home made bread, fried shrimp appetizer, rainbow trout dinner, halibut dinner, French dip sandwich were all very good. The pies for dessert were the best pies we have ever had. THEBESTPIESEVER. So good, we will be back for tomorrow’s breakfast.

We had a good breakfast here on our way home from Bryce Canyon. After a lackluster breakfast buffet at Ruby’s Inn the day before, we were looking for something better. Unilocal reviewers, thank you! The service was great. Granted, it was late morning on a Wednesday morning and it was pretty empty. But our server, Reilly, was very pleasant and helpful. The kids had French toast and the adults had omelettes. Everything was delicious and came out quickly. The hash browns were crispy, the French toast was not too dry, and there were plenty of veggies and yummy gooey cheese in our omelettes. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Bryce. Wish we had been able to eat more meals here this time!

We ate here last night for dinner and this morning for breakfast. We had an older waitress this morning named Barbara. She seemed nice enough, but clearly had too many tables to cover, resulting in VERYSLOW service. Took forever for our order to be taken and then she came back to tell us that they were out of one of the items we ordered(flat iron steak), forcing me to change my order. The dining room is very quaint and decorated with charming western décor. Both the breakfast and dinner menu seemed overpriced(the dinner menu was quite overpriced, while the breakfast menu was only moderately so). They had Willie’s Roadhouse(XM station) playing over the speakers. Nice touch! They are known the area over for very good pie. We had a piece of banana blueberry cream and coconut cream at dinner and enjoyed both! At dinner there was a large group of people waiting in the lobby to get seated, and the waitresses were doing very little to get people their checks and cleared out of the restaurant. Advice to owners: Need more staff. Quicker service needed. Get them in and get them out. Overall probably the best restaurant in the greater Bryce Canyon area(with my previous concerns noted). Note: When she brought us the bill because of the item on the menu that they were out of she gave us the«locals discount», which was much appreciated.

After hiking around Bryce we were really hungry and the front desk lady at Best Western Plus said this would be our best option for dinner, since it was nearly 9pm, so we came here. She also mentioned to save room for pie since they were supposed to be good. I was pretty cold and ordered some hot water with lemon and she totally forgot about that even though everyone else got their drinks at the table. I had to ask again and someone else brought me one. The food was pretty good I didn’t even get a picture of it I was so hungry I did have a piece of coconut cream pie which was a very nice way to end the meal and the evening. I wish the pieces were a little cheaper so I could have tried two but after my $ 16.99 fish dinner I was feeling a bit guilty to spend the same on 2 pieces of pie.

We went there before going to Bryce Canyon. It’s a nice place, conveniently located, and when you eat there it seems like Butch Cassidy could knock on the door anytime. Service could really be improved. The staff is not particularly friendly and we waited a bit before someone took care of our order. The food was nice. I had the Elk Burger I liked it a lot. My friend had a tuna sandwich and found it very good also. She got fries instead of chips, though… The fruit and cream pie was unbelievable. We sure ate too much in this restaurant and the price was OK. So if I had to change something, I’d change the staff.

Food was really good, place is tiny but it gives it a cozy local feel. Come early for dinner once it’s dark at the park the tourist come flooding in. Not a five star based on a lot of the pies were already gone by the time we were done with dinner. The place only had two waitresses working and they acted super rushed, felt bad for them. Otherwise great local joint.
