Awesome homemade food in an authentic Western atmosphere. We got a recommendation for the restaurant from an employee at the nearby National Park and were glad we made the stop here. We had no trouble getting a table(though I hear it can get crowded) and really enjoyed everything we ate. We had a couple of local beers(including the aptly named Hoodoo). I had a steak and my boyfriend had an elk burger that he raved over. The homemade pie is a must — the apple pie a la mode was one of the best we’ve ever had(the crust was so tender with the perfect amount of cinnamon). It also didn’t hurt that our waiter was a Cubs fan. If you’re spending the day at Bryce Canyon, I’d definitely recommend checking this place out for good food at very reasonable prices.

Good location, great price. Clean room and the ‘nice ladies” at the desk were really helpful. We will stay here again. The attached restaurant merits five stars.

Delicious food, fast service, good/varied lunch menu. Our waitress Barbara was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. In an area with many tourist trap restaurants, Pines Restaurant is a gem. Also, TRYTHEPIE!

Great food and AMAZING pie! Do not leave without ordering a slice of pie. Hard to find decently priced food in the area, so this is the place to go.

Great combination of service & food! I skipped breakfast and by 1130 was starving so I asked a local where to go. He recommended The Pines and I see why. Decided to get a bacon cheeseburger with fries and I was surprised by how awesome that burger was. I’m jaded by some of the standard food that is served at the gates of national parks. The waitress I had — Shauna — went out of her way to make me feel welcome since I was dining solo but didn’t hover or anything. Just friendly with tips about the area and the food… homemade ranch, homemade pies and lots of yum!

This review is for the motel. It’s inexpensive, about $ 60 per night(11÷19÷15) for a room with two queen sized beds. The place is a bit dated, but what do you expect for the price. The heater was super noisy and constantly going on and off and neither of us had a good night’s sleep due to the racket. It was below freezing outside so we couldn’t leave the heater off. Did not have a setting to keep the fan blowing, unless you turned the heat off, then it would get cold! While it’s not a cute place or have a five star rating it is one of the cheaper motels near Bryce Canyon National Park.

The service was top notch! Atmosphere perfect after a 5 hour hike! Our dinner was terrific! I had the hamburger and hubby had the turkey sandwich, he loved it!!! The pie was okay, big slices.

The service is slowwwww as molasses. It took at least ten minutes for someone to talk to us after we were seated. We were constantly needing refills on the coffee. As far as food goes, the menu is simple without a lot of options. This is usually a good sign. My husband had the corned beef hash which was okay. I however made the mistake of ordering the biscuits and gravy. I’m from the south, so this was a grave disappointment. No sausage or even a hint of it in the morbidly bland, white gravy. The coffee was good and fresh, which is why it gets two stars instead of one.

Stayed in a king cabin and it was quite nice! Everything is a little older, this is not a luxury hotel, but very nice and although still close to the park, is away from the touristy area right outside the park entrance. The hotel restaurant is actually highly rated on Unilocal,we had a very nice, reasonably priced breakfast there. All in all, pleased with our stay.

Tent camped in early September 2015. Tent site were nice and reasonably spaced. Portable toilets were clean and not smelly. Staff was nice and late check in was no problem. Great location — 5 – 7 minute drive to Bryce Canyon. Downsides — right next to the highway, so lots of car noise. Campsite floor was all small sharp rocks, so would die without a sleeping pad. Showers and real bathrooms don’t open until 7, so no running water available if you need it early or late.

I agree with other reviewers that the service is slow. It took a long time for us to be seated. Solid American food with friendly atmosphere. Loved the warm bread! Chicken wings were moist inside. My husband liked his steak – nothing special but well cooked meat. My fried steak was a bit salty but overall decent.

Visited in May 2012 — From the time we arrived until we left, everything was good at price of $ 105 for the room. Great service at the restaurant for dinner. I recommend the Halibut Steak for dinner. It was light and filling! We enjoyed their Coconut Cream Pie! Huge slice of pie for $ 5, that’s a deal! The fruit pies are $ 4/slice. The staff was friendly. The prices seem to be the same at most of the restaurants. My husband and I came in to check-in and the attendant asked, «Are you married?» That’s what we heard. Ultimately, she meant, «Are you Mary?» A simple and funny misunderstanding. But yes, we are married. =) When we came in the second time to pick up the key to our room in the evening time, a different attendant was there at the front desk. She was friendly at first. She appeared distracted on something else when I asked where our unit was located. She responded sarcastically. I didn’t feel welcomed as I did when we checked in. The room is nice and quaint. Wood panels on the wall made it feel like the 70s Show. We stayed for a night. It was a very cold night, but we kept warm as much as we could. The heater in the bathroom felt nice and toasty. Throughout the room, it wasn’t as toasty because we felt a brisk of cold air every now and then. Double queens, mini-fridge, microwave, TV, and free wi-fi. Although the further your unit is away from the main office, the weaker the wi-fi became. You won’t find the ice box where the vending machine is located, it is actually located in the main office near the electric organ. Who would have known there was an electric organ(church style)?! I would recommend this place to everyone, if you aren’t too picky for anything to be acceptable.

It’s a well decorated quiet restaurant near the Bryce Canyon national park. We stayed at the ruby inn and came here for breakfast. We got the omelettes and pancakes. The food was good and the service was fast. Would recommend this place to everyone, especially near the Bryce Canyon where the options are limited

Leckere Kuchen findet man hier.

Called Bryce Canyon Pines Motel home for 2 nights in late-May, between trips to Bryce Canyon National Park and Capitol Reef National Park. No frills whatsoever and clean enough. The main beef I had with our very dated room was the cranky old heater. The heater was no doubt older than me, not so user-friendly, loud as heck, and barely sufficient. I’ve lived in coastal San Diego for years with no heat. It’s sunny, temperate San Diego, sure, but December-February nights typically dip into the 40s and even the 30s, so I know how to deal with cold. I’m also from Pennsylvania. That all being said, it took a while for the room and my toes to warm up once, by trial and error, my husband and I figured out how to get the heat running in our motel room. The hotel’s restaurant? Not a fan. Not much is fresh, including the pies that this establishment advertises heavily; husband’s apple pie had what was probably a homemade crust but was filled with canned apples. Props, though, for the decent chef salad – blue cheese dressing also hit the spot – and the pleasant lady who takes beverage orders during breakfast. Bryce Canyon Pines Motel strikes me as a $ 50/night place. My disclaimer, however, is that we stayed here as part of the Southwest Adventure Tours package, for which we paid a flat per-person package rate. I couldn’t tell you what our room rate was.
