Accommodated 16 people without a issue. Food alright nothing fancy. Taste like a Dennys or Ihop. Overall, Waitress was good and on point.

Ok, let’s be clear before I start, Village Inn is a diner, my 5 star rating is based on our consistently great service here. We’ve been coming here often lately(maybe once every other week or so) and one server stands out about the rest. Malissa is just spectacular. After just one visit she knows my order, including how I like my steak, eggs and hashbrowns, by heart. She also remembers my boyfriend’s order and what kind of pie we both like. When she’s our server, our food is always perfect. Not once have I had even the slightest complaint or criticism when Malissa is our server.

Ok so this sucks. Sorry we had not been here in a while because of shit like this. Horrible service we sat here for 10 minutes before even seeing our server she copped an attitude the minuet she asked if we needed more time. Then she sent the pitiful pregnant manager over to make sure that she was correct with the order. She let the people next to us sit with no menu for 20 minutes but at least they had coffee and on the other side of us the people haven’t been checked on at all. The food came out all right and it was pretty decent with exception to the hash browns … won’t be back

Service today was pretty fast considering there was only one server for the whole restaurant. The secret to getting good food at this place is that you have to tell the waitress exactly how you want your food prepared. I like my hashbrowns to be extra crispy and she wrote it down and thats how they came out. The portion size of the food to the price is about the best place in town. Good food, good prices, friendly service, clean location.

Great place. Great food. Highly recommend! The management team here is awesome, especially Christina B. Try the tuna melt or the unlimited fried fish on Fridays. And Kids Eat Free on Wednesdays… can’t beat it!

My boyfriend and I prefer Village Inn to iHop. We went the other day to get some breakfast for dinner. My boyfriend always gets the same order that is no longer on the menu, but every village inn has made it for him since they have all the items. But this village inn? They refused. Even after explaining they had all the items they still refused. When we decided to leave due to the lack of customer service they wouldn’t stop talking about how they couldn’t make it… We get it. The waiter also announced to the manager that we were«just leaving.» Which the whole restaurant heard which was very annoying. We paid $ 5 for the drinks we didn’t touch and left. We will not be going back – which is very disappointing.

Unilocal map has this is the wrong spot. However, don’t waste your time coming here. It was Valentine’s Day, the restaurant was half empty when my family and I arrived and asked to be seated for five people. We were told that the kitchen was backed up and we couldn’t be seated for at least five minutes. What? See you later alligator!

Upon entering the restaurant, everyone was kind and very pleasant, even asking to wait for a different table. Our waiter, Haiko, was nice when taking our order, however, when the food arrived, he had an extra crêpe and an extra plate of pancakes. Haiko was setting the crêpe on the table when we said we didn’t order it or the pancakes. He then said that he was then going to enjoy the crêpe. Seconds after saying that he went over to 2 tables adjacent to ours and asked them if they wanted the crêpe or pancakes. He remained inattentive unless asked to do something for us by the floor manager — all the time giving his full attention to those people at the nearby tables. Nice restaurant, however parts of the staff seem like they need an attitude adjustment.

Great place to go when you are just plain starving! I have only been to Village Inn twice; which is surprising since they are everywhere around here. This was a Saturday morning, after a late night and we just wanted a big giant breakfast. It delivered for sure. The food is standard quick casual kind if food. Not a lot of bells and whistles, and a huge selection. I had some blueberry pancakes with my eggs and such, and they were yummy. They have a good kids menu and my son enjoys the standard crayon entertainment. He also loved his hot chocolate, which was perfect and«not too too hot!» The place is a little chaotic and noisy, which is hard to take in the morning. However, it’s nothing unexpected when going to a restaurant like VI.

Non-greasy reasonably priced comfort food. The service is good until the place gets crowded. Likewise, it can be quiet if there aren’t too many people, but the noise level swells if people pile in. The fish Friday nights isn’t so great, but the Wednesday free pie night is a good excuse to come here. I come here once or twice a month on the average, especially if I need comfort food or I’m feeling unsettled. I tried to check in here with the *&^!%$ Unilocal!app, and it told me I was«too far away to check in». Unilocal has issues with tracking people, and their data isn’t as good as they assume it is. There’s nothing more annoying than having your«smart» device tell you that you aren’t where you are.

Not too shabby. Pretty much what you’d expect. Service was good. Hostess was friendly. Food was hot and cooked properly(eggs over easy).

OK, so Village Inn is what it is. We go there often for breakfast and it’s nothing earth-shattering. All we ask for is bacon and eggs cooked correctly and we’re satisfied. This review is specifically about their pie. Being that Village Inn is well known for their pie, this is not a good thing for this location. Growing up, my uncle would buy a French Silk Pie from Bakers Square(VI’s Chicago counterpart) every year for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Since I am away from my family in Chicago on Thanksgiving tonight, I really wanted a slice of French Silk. I ordered 1 slice to go. The girl behind the counter charged my credit card, then went back to the kitchen to cut a slice for me. I saw her walk back and forth for a few minutes, carrying a cardboard pie box. At one point she put the box down, talked to a manager, then they both walked behind the wall. As she was walking she was licking her fingers(!!!). After about 7 minutes of waiting, a different server came out and told me that they were quickly making another pie and it would take about 2 minutes. OK. so I waited. Another 5 minutes goes by and another server comes out and tells me the same thing. Another minute passes and the original server comes out with the slice of pie in a clear box, through which I can see that it’s basically a slice of chocolate pie with heavy cream POURED onto it. As in barely whipped at all, with one lonely chocolate curl on top. Seriously??? I told her it didn’t look right and she said«yeahhh it’s a little soft.» I refused to take it and they refunded my card. As a chef, I would have much rather they tell me that they ran out of the pie, rather than keep me waiting for 15 minutes and serve me a clearly unacceptable product. They really should know better.

Meh, Meh, and Meh. Not a total Zero, because the place was cleanish, and the food was edible. But for the same price or less, you can drive 3 miles East, and run into a Cracker Barrel. So that’s what I’m comparing Village Inn to. I got the Strawberry Crepes, which were cold. Not«Oh, the cream cheese filling is cold, and the crepes and berries are warm»… No. We’re talking«Sat on the counter and congealed» to the point of room temperature. His pancakes were TINY and the syrup was thin and lacking in any discernable maple flavor. His eggs and sausage were cooked properly, but really, how hard is that to screw up? There are a ton of other breakfast options within 4 miles of Village Inn. Go to one of them.

Ate here once because it is close to our house and we didn’t feel like driving very far to get breakfast. Should have made the drive because this was one horrible meal. While I didn’t get sick I sure regretted eating there. The potatoes were one the verge of being raw and seemed as though they had come out of a frozen bag and heated in a steamer. I would have sent them back to the kitchen but you really never know what they might do to your food when you tell a place that the food is bad. We’ve all seen or heard stories. And when I ask for toast, I actually want something that has the appearance of being burned by a heat source. I think that is one of my biggest gripes when it comes to breakfast joints. Limp toast. I want toast not warmed bread, thanks. All in all I won’t be back to this place ever again.

Food was ok. other location is better. I ussually go the one on hwy 7&I25, they open 24 hrs. I always get it any time if we go on Wednesday. Last night, I went to meet up with my friend, Semyon & Kirrill. They came from San Jose, CA. Since he stay @ his mom @ 44th& Sheridan. We went to 120th& Sheridan Village Inn. Food wasn’t the same with the other one, NOPIE since we order after 10pm although we got there 5 minutes before 10pm. Service was suck… Got to ask for refill, all our cups all empty. Other waitress fill it for us. The ONLY thing she ask is the time we about to leave since I was making loud comment prior about our waitress service. When we pay, she make comment how she got in trouble with secret shopper that she almost get fired for give away the free pie not the hours 10am-10pm, plus she got bad review for her service… Of course, she got bad review from secret shopper… after all, her service is soo bad… SHE’s SUCK waitress. The only think we give her good tips because Kirrill got compliment about his tatoo. What a sucker. Just to be nice so we still give her good tips although she didn’t deserve it… other than that, good time…

I’m torn about this place. The remodeling from the summer is great. The inside is supposed to resemble an old school 50s diner. But let’s face it… it’s still a Village Inn. If you order a lunch/dinner entrée, you have the option of fries or homemade potato chips. Order the fries. The chips are a bit bland and soggy. The fries are thinly cut and delicious. For chain diner food. They have a coffee bar that premiered over the summer. You can order a fancy coffee drink, but I don’t think that really goes with chain diner food. I’ve never seen anyone order a coffee drink from here, so that should tell you something. There’s also less items on the menu. Where’s the regular burgers? You can’t order just a regular burger. You have to get some mega burger horded down with bunches of toppings. The servers are always friendly(I guess you have to be when you’re a diner waitress). Be forewarned that this place is across the street from an elderly housing unit, so you may be knocked down by Gladys and Merle as you order your meal. That sounds a bit mean, but if you came here, you’d see my point. But if I can order breakfast all day, I’ll keep coming back.
