Gotta say this neighborhood icon delivers in a way few can or do. This is flower art, practiced with superb professionalism. Always surprising too. With just the right touch of boho chic.

Zuzu’s did the arrangements for an event we held last year. We had specific non-​floral centerpieces that we were also using on the tables and asked them to creatively match those centerpieces with flowers. It wasn’t easy. Zuzus did nothing less than an outstanding job. Fonda was an absolute pleasure to work with and went out of her way to help us with the color of the tablecloths and overlay so that everything tied together perfectly. Everyone else in the store was very helpful and caring and made a very stressful event infinitely less stressful for us. They all seem to love their job and the customers they help. All in all, I highly recommend Zuzus’. Their arrangements are gorgeous and their customer service was outstanding.

This is a little over the date-​I had a birthday back in February and wanted a flower crown. (Um because when you turn 40 you can do what you want) I went in to ask about it and we talked about the different styles «headband» and fully around your head. I was told to email Fonda which I did. It took a little while for her to get back to me and when she did she explained why (personal reason) which I appreciated. I was happy with my resulting flower crown and wore it at my party. This was my only experience with them and they did a nice job.

Quite disappointed by the centerpiece delivered by this company. My cousin was very clear that he wanted a BIG centerpiece to celebrate his mother’s 80^th birthday with family and friends. What was delivered was merely adequate for someone’s small bedside table NOT what he requested and expected to receive. $ 100 wasted. So he and his friend stopped a dollar store and picked up $ 1.00 glass vase nearly identical to the one Zuzu’s Petals used for their «centerpiece.» Then stopped at local bodega and picked up flowers… make TWO arrangements for less then Zuzu’s Petals charged for their small one. Total price UNDER $ 20. love the name of the store but won’t be buying anything from them since they mislead my cousin and provided less then adequate small arrangement.

I’m writing this review on the basis of many transactions and experiences with this store:
1. Presentation: the usual presentation of front, yet somewhat very busy.
2. Service: when it’s not busy, very friendly. When it is very busy e.g. Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, etc., friendliness declines.
3. Flowers: usually fresh. Occasionally have had flowers significantly wilted the following day. NB: More flowers at the back. Again, very little cooler space and therefore, most foliage will be sitting at ambient room air temperature and humidity.
4. Transaction: take currency and credit; signs encouraging cash as fees are «killing us».
Overall: functional store, however, if you require consistent quality, with consistent service over a long period of time, I am uncertain as to whether or not this location would provide you with those needs.

I’ve had mixed experiences with Zuzus. I used to live in the neighborhood and really wanted to have then be my go-​to flower shop, but a couple of times I received flowers that just weren’t fresh. No two ways around it. The shop is lovely, the staff really helpful, and the arrangements very pretty but I strongly suggest you come in person and don’t call in orders so you can oversee the quality of the flowers they use.

I was in charge of flowers for a Park Slope bridal shower… which I was coordinating from Boston. Fonda was clear, easy to work with and most importantly — she delivered flawlessly. The biggest bluest hydrangeas I’ve ever seen, giant king protea, dripping amaranthus. It was exactly what I wanted: unique, sculptural, hardy in the July heat and STUNNING. In fact, we found out that one of the bride’s aunts had used Fonda for her wedding flowers 20 years ago to the day.

I needed to get flowers for my mother in law and chanced upon this store. I must say they put together a beautiful vase with a bouquet of flowers. I loved the arrangement so much that I almost kept it for myself. The girl was amazingly helpful and patient with my indecisiveness. I’m so glad I went there and hope to go get some more flowers from there soon. Oh, and they are very well priced as well.

Don’t go here to quickly pick up a few things… they have a $ 20 credit card minimum (we expect this in bars, but at a florist? A bit odd). It is a fairly overpriced store, so you shouldn’t have any trouble getting $ 20 worth of stuff, but I am sure there are more accommodating places to pick up a few quick things. Probably won’t go back.

A really sweet neighborhood flower option. Really nice options between plants and loose flowers. Fast service. Pretty arrangements.

Four days later and my roses are still gorgeous!

I ordered flowers over the phone to be delivered to my sister-​in-​law. The delivery went off without a hitch and the arrangement was beautiful. I was really pleased with my purchase until I checked my credit card statement. When I called to place the order, I was told that my sister-in-law’s address required a $ 55 purchase plus a $ 10 delivery fee. I thought that was a fair price and agreed upon the details with the shop attendant, who was very nice on the phone. Therefore I was extremely surprised when I opened my credit card statement to see that I had been charged nearly $ 85! The flowers were beautiful, BUT I feel very deceived by their abrupt change in price. ZuZu’s had my cell phone number and they should have have contacted me to ask if I would agree to change the price of my order.
The flowers were unique and beautiful, but buyer beware that the price quoted over the phone is subject to change without your knowledge. Disappointed by their customer service, but pleased by their flower arrangement.

What a great experience I had with Zuzu’s Petals. I wanted to send my friend a bouquet for her birthday and wanted it hand delivered on a Saturday from a local florist. I was in communication with Fonda at Zuzu’s Petals only by email – and her communication was quick and efficient. I originally wanted a bouquet of daffodils, and Fonda sent me a variety of choices – and warnings – about the daffodils. This time of year apparently daffodils are hard to come by and are quite delicate. She told me that she would be going to the market to get the daffodils the day before she was going to deliver them, but when she got to the market the daffodils were really not in good shape. Rather than just going through with my order and sending sub par daffodils, she wrote me to ask if she could substitute another kind of flower which were longer lasting and in better condition. I said of course she could, and in the end my friend received a beautiful bouquet of 35 yellow tulips. Even though the tulips were more expensive than the daffodils, Fonda kept the price the same for me. She later followed up with another email confirming the delivery and the type of flower she chose. I was really pleased!
Yes, the price was way more than prices for delivery on
or something, but it’s infinitely better to support a local business!

Most beautiful flower shop I have ever been to. They have a back garden. They know about the plants they are selling. Great hospitality. This business is run with love!

Came here on valentines day, clearly and a busy day so I do cut the employees here some slack. Nevertheless, I did not feel that what is offered is worth the marked up prices.
I asked for a $ 40 bouquet and asked if I could have a certain combination of flowers at that price, I was told yes and the flowers were nicely wrapped for me. At the register I was told the total was $ 65. Not particularly pleasant, but worse is that they told me that the flowers I got were unique in that they all needed to be in warm water, advice I heeded. Waking up the next morning finding a whole set of the flowers considerably wilted and finding out that they in fact needed ice cold water was also quite unpleasant.
Overall, a lot of potential here but my experience was a decidedly negative one.

I always pass this place and never went in, I guess because the no cell phone sign really annoyed me! but a couple of weeks go they had some awesome garland outside so I went in, making sure my cell phone was in my pocket asking about the prices, the lady was very nice asking me how I was going to use this particular garland, when I mentioned it was for my fireplace mantel to decorate it for Christmas she recommended something else that would be better for indoor use, after looking at so many pretty flowers and greenery, I walked away with such beautiful garland and other decorative things to make my fireplace mantel look so amazing for Christmas.
I will be visiting them again soon, they have such beautiful different flowers, everyone needs to treat themselves to something special once in a while.

My nephew was admitted to a Brooklyn Methodist with a very sudden and very serious illness. I wanted to lift his spirits with flowers but knew no local florists (live on the left coast).
I Unilocaled local florist and first five listed included Zuzu’s petals. Images of It’s a Wonderful Life flashed through my head. Easy choice. I called and placed an order for delivery that same day.
My nephew, brother, and sister-​in-​law loved the arrangement. Many of the hospital staff (from other units, too) came to see the flowers and wanted to know the florist.
Zuzu’s Petals is a great Unilocal find. If you need flowers in Brooklyn, Zuzu’s Petals is the place to go.

Went in for the first time today and will keep going back to them for all my plant purchases and cut flower needs. They were super helpful in finding me plants based on the light in my apt and the location of the heaters, etc etc… took the time to explain my options and the care. i’ve never had anyone give me so much advice for buying potted plants. the prices were super decent compared to others with same level of service and quality. i did not buy cut flowers so do not know what prices are, but i will certainly go to them first next time for bouquets.

I went in last weekend to place an order for my bridal bouquet and flowers for my soon to be mother in law and left within 15minutes.
My fiancé and I stood at the cash register for close to 10minutes before Grouchy Flower Worker #1 bothered to look up and ask «What are you looking for?» She then sent for yet another Grouchy but smaller Flower Worker who approached us as if we’d been pestering her for the past several days! Unless we have two really annoying doppelgangers wandering Park Slope… this was our first and LAST visit.
Her first words, «How much you wanna spend?» WHAT?! How tacky!
Not: Hello can I help you? Can I show you ideas for arrangements? Did you have a flower in mind?
I told her I’d like to use a sunset colored calla lily. She immediately told me that they cost $ 6.50 per flower and can be expensive blah blah blah…
As she was condescendingly quoting pricing (without being asked mind you) we just smiled and backed out of the flower shop.
We will happily take our money elsewhere. Who wants to buy wedding flowers from such a nasty sour puss. Terribly bad energy.

I wanted to order flowers for a co-​worker, whose wife had a baby last night. With help from Unilocal and Google, I found Zuzu’s Petals near New York Methodist Hospital. From the moment I got on the phone with Sophia, I knew I made the right choice. She was friendly and knowledgeable, told me what fresh flowers they had in store today. she also had a baby boy so had some good suggestions for me regarding bouqets and flowers. I love her.
