Sitting outside a small Polish coffee shop on Halsey and Malcom X in Bed-Stuy on a hot and humid spring day still in my pyjamas listening to two neighborhood dads discussing women’s issues, Jesus and opportunities in life. Across the street fully veiled women are waiting for the bus. A light smell of weed is in the air. The speakers in the car at the red light are pumping. Dad says: «You need to have what? Happiness is what you need.» I love Brooklyn! Żabka, where the world meets. Friendly neighborhood vibe, great coffee, big tasty wraps, pierogies and more delicious Polish specialities.

It was fine. The iced green tea was fresh brewed and pleasant. I had thought there were going to be more tables and was disappointed that there was only one real table and some(2?) high-top tables. There’s also a little couch. It’s cute.

A welcomed coffee spot in the neighborhood. Comfortable seating and great energy, two things that other spots in the hood fail to offer. Solid coffee, I ordered a latte and it was awesome and very strong. Wonderful staff, helpful and chill. Will be back!

Best café in Brooklyn hands down. The owner is flipp’n awesome. The hot drinks are too die for and the food and pastries are so worth it! Super healthy and delicious brunch options. My go to is café au lait and blueberry danish.

The place has the right blend of formality and artistry, enough to keep you focussed on your work and stimulated at the same time.

There aren’t many places in Bed-Stuy where you can get lox, pierogis, and good coffee but this place does all three. Walked in here while out checking for new places nearby and was pleasantly surprised. I had the lox and cream cheese sandwich which was much more filling than your standard bagel and lox. I rarely drink coffee but tried theirs and was more than satisfied. I couldn’t resist ordering a few pierogies either so I tried one of each kind. I’ll definitely be back for more!

Zabka is the right type of neighborhood café where you can walk in, read a book, sip on a latte, and engage in deep, profound conversations with the owner. If none of that appeals to you, you can always go back to your local Starbucks in the boring suburbs. But why would anyone want to do a thing like that?!

If this little hole in the wall café is any indication of what is to come, then Bed Stuy just became the place to watch. Perfect customer service and great Russian green tea along with a pastry made me want to stay. The décor is calm and welcoming. I really hope the neighborhood becomes one where they have longer hours. If you want a relaxing place to hang then this is it.

Zabka really impressed me for the quality of their products, their coffee selection is ample and I love their Russian Chai, super tasteful! The place is nicely designed and has an aura of european charme… recommended!

Lovely new neighborhood café. Clifton the owner really cares about coffee and the food he serves. They did a great job on the design as well. I had a cappuccino and a chicken sandwich. Both were excellent. Definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a good cup of coffee in the area.

Great, personable service. Ordered the Russian chai(not as spicy as Indian chai), which is served with an amazing poppyseed cheesecake. OMG. The dessert was light, fluffy and delicious. They’re still getting settled into the space, but everyone is very friendly and inviting. Will definitely be back for coffee!

I had the walnut bread with peach jam and cranberries, french onion soup, and the beet salad. It was all tasty and I will definitely be back.
