The situation started when my glass shower door exploded, literally. No one was in the bathroom at the time, my girlfriend was outside on the couch and heard a loud crash and when she went into the bathroom the glass door was in shards on the floor with just remnants hanging from the hinges. We still don’t know why it happened – we’ve gotten various explanations from a chip in the glass to bad installation to random bad luck. The building and the builder(the building is new construction, less than 4 years old) both deny liability but recommended a contractor to repair the door, on my dime of course. That company was Wyatt Manufacturing in Brooklyn. So we contacted«Joe» from Wyatt Manufacturing and he took measurements and took a $ 700 deposit and said the door would be ready in 2 weeks. Long story short he never came to install the door despite many emails back and forth. I tried calling him but he screens his calls and he never calls back. He did answer emails for a while but stopped. Eventually I had to find another contractor to do the job because of course I needed a shower door! I sent certified mail to three possible business addresses(the PO box from the receipt, the official one from state records, and one other from a Google search) demanding they return the deposit but all the letters got sent back undeliverable. «Joe» of course never returned any of my calls or emails. I assumed that the company simply went out of business, but if not and they are still around I would advise you stay far far away from«Joe».

Our new shower door is gorgeous and just what we wanted. The workmanship was perfect. Joe Wyatt is very conscientious, wants to do the best job possible and please his customers.
