The single worst Thai food I have ever had.(Yes I know it is mostly a sushi restaurant) I order Pa Si Yew and it was just dry noodles with shriveled vegetables. I guess the chicken was ok. But there was zero flavoring on this dish. No sauce. No spice. I only eat one third of it and threw the rest away. I could not believe this place can stay open and serve such disappointing garbage.

I absolutely LOVE this place. The sushi is extremely delicious and worth ordering. I fell in love with the shrimp tempura roll and the spicy tuna. I would say however that the delivery man could use some manner but overall the food is worth the purchase

I ordered from Seamless. The food was supposed to come in 30 min. After waiting an hour and a half I called to cancel. And yet they still charged me. So now I have to dispute the charges with my credit card.

I ordered here multiple times, but the last two times have been a disappointment. I ordered the spicy roll combo both times. The only roll that was tolerable was the spicy crab roll. The other two were VERY fishy. To the point that they were not able to consume. It’s sad cause I have eaten at the restaurant and it was never like this. I chose to order from here cause the other location on Queens Blvd is excellent. My partner ordered the chicken pad Thai and said the chicken was gummy. I also ordered the vegetable goyoza which was a little greasy, but the flavor was good. It needed paper to absorb the oil. Totally disappointed. Will not be ordering from here again. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

I ate the first sushi(salmon) and found a bone stuck in there, but I did not fuss about it because people make mistake(I should have called this ignorant restaurant and ask for a refund at this point…). I was about half way through took a bite at the salmon roll. SURPRISESURPRISE! Another bone! At this time I was a bit frustrated. This combo has in total of 4 sushi, 8 sashimi, and 1 tuna roll(which I changed to salmon roll… it is exactly the same cost on the web, but still charged me an extra dollar for it) and another mess up. At this time, I was just going to not order sushi from this restaurant… At this time, there is only one sushi and one sashimi left on the plate. I take a bite onto sashimi(this time almost swallowed) and there!!! ANOTHER F*CKINBONE!!! This time I was furious. I felt like there were more fish bones in my stomach and started to think that if one out of those three bones would have been stuck on my neck, I could have had to go to the emergency room. I called this restaurant and told them what happened thoroughly and asked for a full refund for this sushi sashimi combo order. The lady on the phone was like ‘oh sh*t. sorry. 1 sec’ and started to talk in maybe Chinese? with the owner and about a minute later, she comes back and saysthat they will give me 20% rebate on my next purchase… After I hear that, I told her ‘wait… I would not care if it was something else. However, if that bone would have been stuck on my throat, I would have been in so much trouble…’ then SHEREPLIED ‘WELL, ITDIDNOTHAPPENDIDIT? SOITDOESNOTMATTER!’ I was shocked after hearing that answer, so I asked them ‘But how would it freakin benefit you if I actually had to go to the hospital and sue the restaurant afterward?’…SHEREPLIEDAGAININ A BOTHEREDANDANNOYEDTONE ‘WELLWEDONOTCARESINCEITDIDNOTHAPPEN. Disgusting. Almost inedible. I’ve had some sushi from here which has been good but tonight I ordered the Pad See Ew with chicken which was basically bland flat noodles with 3 slivers of red pepper and 3 brocolli florets… and even less chicken. Also ordered shumai which were the size of a thumbnail. I used to buy these things from the carts outside Yale/New Haven Hospital and there was pride in the cooking and the ingredients. Definitely not here at Tomo on this dish. Stick to sushi.

Ordered from this restaurant numerous times… almost on a weekly basis and was appalled when I ordered via Seamless asked for spicy mayo and was not charged on the CC but was asked for $ 1 at time of delivery. I explained I don’t have cash on me, I paid with CC. Delivery guy called the restaurant and was told to take the sauce away. SO Rude, over $ 1.

I’m reading the delivery reviews below and I am so surprised because our delivery service experience was on point compared to other places! We ordered through Grub Hub because we were craving Asian food and I had to work on papers due tonight so we decided to stay in. After placing the order, Grub Hub said it would arrive in 45 minutes. We received it earlier in only about 30 minutes and the place is located about 2 miles away! The delivery person was pleasant and even gave us a phone call, which we requested in the«Notes» section. We checked everything in the bag to make sure it was all there and they were! We ordered a shrimp teriyaki bento box, pad Thai noodles, taro bubble tea, almond bubble tea and a Thai iced tea. The food was warm and looked perfect. The bubble tea and Thai iced tea were cold and delicious. There were no spills and the food was packaged perfectly. We were so happy with this delivery service and our tummys are so full and content after gorging on this delicious food. We will definitely order from here again!

It is fine… the sushi is fresh and the location is somewhat convenient considering there aren’t too many other sushi joints in the area. The service leaves a bit to be desired. There is one person who waits on the tables and seems to be some kind of manager or owner — in any case she is prickly at best. The prices seems a teensy bit inflated… I prefer Akaru down the street on Wycoff. The service and prices are better and the sushi is comparable. I’m not giving a three star as a ‘bad’ rating — its just definitively A-Ok.

I underestimated this place based off my own prejudice against«asian fusion» restaurants. I was strongly craving sushi but recovering from surgery, so I couldn’t go out. Delivery options that offered sushi were super limited(and by limited I mean Tomo was the only one available). Since I couldn’t eat much yet, I opted for the yellowtail sashimi and I was pleasantly(maybe ecstatically) surprised at how delicious it was. No stringiness, fat slices of fatty yellowtail that practically melted in my mouth. And super fresh too! And yes, I would know, I’ve worked at sushi restaurants before as well as having eaten so much of it when living in Japan. Will order from here again!

I am pretty disappointed right now. I have ordered from this place a couple times, and its us usually somewhat decent for Bushwick… but tonight everything my roommates and I ordered was nearly inedible. Salmon teriyaki was completely overdone and honestly smelled like cat food, only ate the vegetables underneath that didn’t even have a hint of salt or any spice for that matter. Salmon in the salmon roll was old and I considered spitting it out. They even managed to mess up a shrimp tempura roll. it was soggy and just bad. Upset I just blew nearly 50 $ on a not even mediocre dinner. Beware. Maybe it was just a bad night? Ill save my cravings for when I’m in Parkslope, thanks. Delivery was quick though gotta say that. Two stars for that.

I’m writing my first review in a long long time because of this restaurant. I religiously use Unilocal when figuring out what new spots to try and was really in the mood for some sushi/japanese food last night. This place seemed promising so I figured we would give it a go and I ordered food for myself, my fiancé, and our roomate through seamless. Had I written this review last night I would have given Tomo 3 – 4 stars for decent tasting food, quick delivery and a well packaged order. I had the spicy roll combo entrée, spicy crab roll was delicious. The spicy tuna and salmon rolls could have been better, not the greatest cuts of fish in my opinion. A bit too fatty and oily. Roommate got the chicken teriyaki dinner box and had no complaints. His food looked nice. My fiancé orderered teriyaki tofu dinner box and had no complaints at the time about her order other than the tofu being a bit on the soggy side. All in all it was a decent meal and I would have been inclined to order from there again. Until this morning… My fiancé woke up around 8:00am writhing in pain and ran to the bathroom. She has been sick six times over the past four hours and is currently curled up in a ball in our bed. We know it was the food from Tomo because the only other thing we had to eat yesterday were buttered bagels much much earlier in the day. The icing on the cake with all of this, we decided to take it easy and stay in on Saturday night. treat ourselves to a nice delivery dinner, and relax in anticipation of Sunday(today) being our friends early Thanksgiving feast. My fiancé being British, has never experienced and American thanksgiving and now it looks like she won’t be experiencing one until next year as she returns to London in a few days. Thanks Tomo!!! To anyone reading this all the way to the end. Sorry for the rant with poor grammar, but I am currently angry and I think fellow diners should know about this experience. update: it’s thirty minutes later and our roommate has just woken up. He said he has been dry heaving all night and was constantly on the verge of throwing up but managed not to get sick. He is still not feeling well though.

This place has been my go to sushi delivery joint for months now, because they’re the only one that delivers to me with a decent selection of vegetarian rolls. Sure let me down tonight though — went out on a limb for the agadashi tofu and was unpleasantly surprised to find it covered in fish skin. Gross! Thought we were on the same page about this whole warn-me-when-a-dish-isn’t-vegan thing, but I was wrong. So, so wrong. Also, too expensive for what it is. Still the only one in hood though, so will probably continue ordering.

I gave Tomo 4 stars because they always have quick and friendly delivery. The Sushi is the best is Bushwick, unfortunately that doesn’t say much. It is of decent quality but overpriced for the quality. There non sushi dishes are also sub par.

The plates our food was served on were not washed. If you read this and eat here anyway, check your plate. The quality of the salmon meat itself was poor, aside from that the sushi was fine, but lacking in any flair. For the main I had the tofu green curry which had good heat, and my brother got the chicken, the quality of the meat again was poor. That said, the Thai iced tea was lovely and they actually nailed the sticky rice. Our server was lovely though :) Bottom line, poor meat, dirty plates, and uninspired sushi.
