This place. The last time I was here was almost 3 yrs ago and I’m glad I haven’t been back. Service is key in my opinion as to what makes or breaks a business and this place fails. I can’t write anymore cause the top criteria failed. I would advise to stay clear from here.

It was ok. The bartender was friendly. Had a groupon for 2 meals for $ 20. Everything was ok. The chill was microwaved and the dessert was literally pulled from a plastic store-bought container and put on a plate. The drinks were good. Here’s why I rated it 2 stars: the tip. The receipt said a suggested tip of $ 18. I didn’t think about it — and just put the tip down. As soon as I walked out the door — I realized the 2 meals that was«valued» at $ 128(increasing the tip) was really just $ 50(based on menu I looked at). That left a really sour taste in my mouth.

Last night I needed therapy, laughter, and good conversation. I found it in Therapy Wine Bar. The drinks were strong and the bartender was friendly, the sofa seating, candle light, and low light made me feel like I was at sitting at home. The old school hip hop and the retro art on the wall was welcoming. Look, this is a neighborhood spot locally owned and operated. I absolutely love small businesses. There is not a traditional kitchen available, however a small menu including sliders, fruit trays, cheese and crackers trays, and salads are available. Its so very hip here. I Love it.

This place is entirely too cute! I arrived around 7:30 on a Saturday night it was pretty empty in which I loved! The décor and lighting was very relaxing, perfect for a nice date. We really just came for drinks $ 10 – 14 but I ended up ordering the jerk chicken sliders which were delicious! It came with a side of chips… literally Ruffles(who couldn’t recognize that amount of salt). Overall a decent place. I saved my check in offer so I will be returning!

I visited this place twice. Both times was with a groupon! I went once with my boyfriend and the next time with another couple. The experience was exceptional. For $ 25 we received a bottle of wine and four mini plates! The food was really good, the wine was excellent but the best part is the music. If they aren’t playing r&b they have a live jazz band. They also keep board games in the back so you can play a few games as you sip some wine and listen to great music surrounded by great people!

Food: decent selection of small plates… Shared the spicy mango kale salad, stuffed peppers, deviled eggs and sliders; deviled eggs were the favorite, sliders were really over-cooked.the food was prepared right behind the bar in a mini kitchen with a microwave and toaster oven, which was a little strange to me Service: service was neither great nor bad… Only two bartenders/servers for the whole place, but it wasn’t busy so it was ok Ambience: very cozy space. Bar seats and some lounge area in the back… Music was good and at a decent volume where you can have a conversation

Came here on Wednesday night with my husband. We got this voucher from Livingsocial, Voucher for a Dessert Date Night with a Bottle of Sparkling Moscato, 2 Slices of Cheesecake, and Truffles and Cream at Therapy Wine Bar, about $ 34(for $ 64 worth). The bar is in a black neighborhood, everything is black influenced from music to the customers. My bad review is for a bad upsetting service. My 2 servers a lady and a guy are the coldest people in the Hospitality world. Since the moment we stepped in, they didn’t smile or greet us. When we said Thanks, they(both of them at different encounters) walked away, left us speechless. What so hard to smile back or «enjoy»? Mind you, the bar wasn’t full or packed to distract them from being«proper» to customers. After settle down, I was asked to show the coupon on my phone. The waitress/bartender then took my iPhone away to check the coupon, however she took it too long to the point I started to feel very uncomfortable, hey, we all have some saved CC on phone ain’t we? Beside that I like the Italian Sparkling Moscato Bottle and the truffles. They ran out of Cheese cakes and didn’t inform us as we called to reserve a table. That’s another disappointing thing. The pancake is very confusing, it’s hard and cold. We never got cold and hard pancake before so we not sure if it’s the style or they make it the wrong way. We didn’t bother to ask since their attitude was … Urgg… Pain in the a*** I would say? We will never come back here ! Period!

First time to this beautiful establishment was yesterday with a good friend of mine who came here a few times & recommended we stop for brunch. I must say that everything was excellent. The food — excellent, the drinks — excellent, the service — excellent. Thank you for such a wonderful & beautiful day.

Therapy to me seems like the kind of place you either hate or love and there’s no grey area in between. I’d been next door to Brooklyn Beso numerous times bit my friend who I was with favors Therapy for the drinks and partially because he’s friendly with someone affiliated with mgt . We were at a gallery launch on Marcus Garvey and got hungry so Therapy was an automatic choice for him. I ordered Jerk chicken sliders and a Mango flavored Mojito. The server took forever to come back with the drinks and we had to get someone else’s attention to get them. When she did return it was painfully obvious the chicken was stale, undercooked, lacking in flavor and just plain horrible. I was really unsure what to say when my friend told me «Therapy doesn’t have a kitchen so maybe I should have told you not to get food». I’m come back to that part. I asked the server to return them. I didn’t finish the drink and within 5 mins we had paid the check and bounced. Now clearly, that could have had something to do with the fact that it was about 9pm on a Saturday night but then again, why wouldn’t I want sliders and a good drink on a Saturday night? I love neighborhood joints but I find most have lost their essence. Find your niche and stay true to it. Bring in professionals to help you design and execute a chic but appropriate menu even if you serve soup and sandwich. Whatever it is, serve the best of it. Now back to this big headed dude who let me order the food. Real friends don’t let friends get food poison and that was an accident waiting to happen. There were two lesson here, one for Therapy and the other for me. Mine, chose your friends wisely and for Therapy, be the best at what you do.

Great atmosphere, looking for an opportunity return. Kale salad with cranberry walnut, Apple was good. Taste of malbec was exquisite. Ashley, the woman who served me has a great personality. My new retreat! I recommend this establishment.

This is a nice quaint & inviting spot right in bedstuy. The cocktails are actually well made every time I’ve paid a visit and its never too crowded. This is a nice spot to get away for a date and or drinks with the girls. Their backyard area is nice but needs a little tending to in terms of furniture and cleanliness.

Came here on a groupon. Décor, music, and wine were fine. Service was okay. Food was horrible. Not fresh or flavorful. Go there for a cocktail or two but don’t bother with the food.

This place is perfect for a date night or catching up with a girlfriend. Incidentally, I had both on my first visit and the ambience was perfect. It’s not too crowded which makes it inviting. While the wine was delicious, the drink that really caught my attention is the Malbec Martini… it looks and tastes delicious. The service was great, even though there were only a few staff members, they weer very attentive. Last but not least, the music was on point…90s and early 2000s throwbacks hip hop and R&B. I loved it and can’t wait to go back.

I’m surprised(and a little concerned) that this place is not packed. The décor itself is very romantic, dimly lit, candles everywhere, and soft plump pillows on the communal bench by the window. This slow Saturday night, I’m people watching both street passersby and fellow patrons, mostly dates. The music is a seamless blend of classic hip hop and R&B/soul both modern and from days of yore. I’m having the mango and kale salad along with lobster sliders. In comparison to lobster rolls, specifically my boy, Luke’s, it falls a little short. Perhaps the buns should be toasted with butter? It’s no secret that butter makes everything better, and I think it would add a certain sumptuousness that may be missing. But the buns are toasted. The lobster salad is made with celery, black pepper, and another green, unidentifiable to me(scallions maybe?) but the lobster tastes fresh, and they really pile it on those small buns. The kale and mango salad steals the show. It’s unexpected and a real treat. Made with chili flakes, mango, and honey vinaigrette, it’s a surprising blend of bitter, heat, and sweet. It’s not too spicy for all you pepper-averse. It’s just an intricate, complex combination that comes together very well. There’s a bevy of wine cocktails, which I can’t wait to try as I will return. Tonight I’m having the choco shots because chocolate(great for Bailey’s lovers), and a favorite of mine from this place as well.

Wanted to try something local an see what was around the neighborhood, If your looking for a trendy but at your friends home vibe this is the place for you. Conviently located in Bed-stuy. Awesome little kick back spot. Small, very inviting, with a romantic vibe. Lovely little backyard deck in the rear. Alex was our server, very sweet informative and friendly even gave us advance notice of a future event. Must try the cheese selection which comes with fruit, nuts and crackers(Additional For meat selection & other fruits) Also had the spinach dip which was excellent! Great drinks and wine offerings with affordable price points Definetly a must see ;)

I was here for a special event, and don’t think what we had to eat is actually on their brunch menu. Not sure. Food: Our brunch plate came with a trio of dishes: shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, spicy pork sausage. A starter kale and mango salad arrived first. Shrimp & Grits: really, really good grits and the shrimp were stewed in a tomato based sauce and seasoned really well. Chicken & Waffles: looked much better than they tasted. The waffle hardened before I had a chance to cut into it, and the chicken was too tough to cut through. Mimosas were extremely wack. But they were pretty. The service was questionable. Particularly after we were left with our plates long after we were done. I can tell that waiting on people isn’t really their thing. But the energy was right and I would go back. love, Nicole

I’d had a great experience about two months ago so I went back today for a groupon brunch deal. Compared to my first visit, I’m highly disappointed. Highly understaffed and disorganized. Literally one server for both indoor and outdoor seating areas and she seemed already exhausted even though the place has only been open for an hour when we were there. I don’t blame her. Also we were not able to choose our dessert menu as only one dish out of three options, also the cheapest one was available. And the server brought the desserts out with our main dish, cheese plates. By the time we were done with our main dish the whipped cream in our dessert was all melted and not appetizing at all. If you were only going for food, I’d recommend it. Not incredibly amazing food, but satisfying enough.

Bought a Groupon here and came with my boyfriend for date night… excellent decision! I really enjoyed this place, and I think the owners have something really special here. The vibe here is really cool. The music is mostly R&B, very relaxing and well-known hits. The lighting, décor, and ambiance are all amazing and really created an intimate, fun atmosphere. With our Groupon we received a bottle of wine with four small plates to share. The value was well worth it! We split a bottle of Chardonnay which was excellent, and we soon had a buzz and thoroughly enjoyed the music while we waited for our food. Our waitress was very sweet, accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu. We had the cheese plate, guacamole & chips, chicken & waffles, and sliders. Everything was really excellent and so filling! The only thing I was hoping would be better, and must deduct a star for, were the chicken and waffles. I was very excited to try this, but the chicken was so dry and really hard to eat. I was expecting the chicken to be flavorful and juicy, but it was very dried out. Other than the chicken, everything was very good! We cannot wait to come back and have another date night! Really cool, hip, place to visit, love the small plates and wine concept! As I said before, the owners have a great thing going here. Sure to be an up and coming popular hang out!

Wine was great. Came here on a groupon yesterday. Sat ourself at a table and went without a server checking on us for over an hour. The server was the bartender. He was clearly overwhelmed with the amount of traffic. My buns to my Berger was burnt. Not a good look. All together, I wished that they had at least one server who could focus on the tables and another for the people. Would not come here again unless someone else had a Groupon.
