This place has such an incredible beer selection. Sean is a great bartender. 10⁄10 cats approve.

–_– do you know what this face means? (***Pizza in the back is yum!) My boyfriend and I came here to meet some friends and were intrigued by their extensive draught beer list. We went for what we were in the mood for. I got the amber ale and he got the Czech style pils and both were great. 2nd round we decided to explore. Bartender 1, who was still in training, was really patient with us as we scanned the menu. My boyfriend asked about their saison IPA selection and Bartender 2 said to look at the menu(by the way, there were about 60 beers just on draught, and this is not an exaggeration). Looking at the menu was not going to answer any question either of us had. My boyfriend then asked about a session IPA and the same Bartender 2’s response was that saisons and sessions are different types of beers. WEKNOWTHIS! We even know how to read and pronounce them! So instead of asking questions I asked Bartender 1 if I could try the coffee IPA because I’ve recently tried 2 from different breweries that were amazing. She consulted with Bartender 2 who poured a tasting. Before I was able to try the coffee IPA, Bartender 2 went on a 5 minute lecture about how they don’t do tastings because their beers are super rare and their beer kegs are blah blah and blah blah and more blah blah but he did the tasting for me just this one time and they do half pours for the future if I’m unsure. A simple«sorry we don’t do tastings but we can do half pours» is easily understood and I would not take offense. I get it. I was not at all impressed by the coffee IPA so I ordered a second serving of the amber ale. My boyfriend, also reluctant to ask any more questions, settled for a pale ale. A friend offered to buy our 3rd round, and guess what? I got another amber ale and my boyfriend got another pale ale. Between the both of us, we could have had 6 different beers to tell our friends about, but the circumstance was quite the opposite. If an establishment is going to offer so many options, they should have bartenders who are knowledgeable and proud of the selection that they have and who are willing to share this with their customers. Since when is open dialogue about a common interest a bad thing? Also, if The Well is going to have 60 beers on draught but not offer tastings, they should highly consider editing and refining their selection so that they are actually able to offer tasting portions(which are by the way less than 1oz) and that other customers do not face the same uncomfortable situation that I had to endure. By the way, I feel like more and more people are experimenting with and learning about craft beers that a bartender in Brooklyn should not feel superior. Their customers might know more than they do.

This bar displays a fantastic ever changing beer selection, and the highest quality of musical eclecticism, supported by a man who dignifies bartending. Huge indoor and outdoor spaces and finally enough bathrooms. Somehow it seems no one knows it yet!

Got to a party that was supposed to start at 3 at 530 and the DJ was horrible. Played nothing current. When I asked the manager or whoever he was I was told ‘she’s building up’ ummmm so screw the rest of us I guess?!. All I wanted was something I could dance to, shit even something that came out in the last 5 years…. When you have 20 tables of people sitting on their phones, as a DJ, you should know something is wrong.

This place is just okay. They don’t have good food and they run out of alcohol at Hennypalozza.

This place is pretty cool it’s and indoor outdoor venue. It has a large variety of beers on tap. That being said I’m not sure if it was an off night but the place was a ghost town other than the 20 or so people that came with us their must of been 15 other people. It’s a huge space. The out door area doesn’t have music which is why we left which doesn’t make sense. I asked the bartender and she said that theirs no speaker system connected to the outside. Don’t get me wrong I would try this place again just when they are having an event. The drinks are reasonably priced the bartenders are very nice and the place itself is pretty cool.

This place is huge. And their beer list is huge. They should make a giant statute of Hugh Jackman and call it Huge Jackman. Anyways, the reasonable prices and massive selection make the Well a solid option.

The happy hour is a pretty good deal, 2 for the price of 1 between 7 – 9 $. I particularly enjoyed the Bells Oarsman berliner weiss and the Warflag American pilsner. Nice outdoor patio out back.

I’ve only visited this venue for outdoor dance parties like Tiki Disco and ADID. For events like that, this space is perfect.(I still miss Knockdown Center but this is the next best thing.) There is plenty of space for dancing, eating, taking breaks, or seeking shelter/shade indoors. The space is conveniently located off the L train, the staff has always been very nice, there are plenty of decent bathroom facilities and the place is covered in beautiful artwork. I can’t complain.

I was here during the day so there weren’t that many people around but I really liked this place. You walk in and it feels like an open air warehouse with a really big outside area. There are food trucks and live music also. Really great beer selection, especially the draft list that has a lot of draft beers you don’t see normally. I would love to come back to this place when its busier.

The beer selection is amazing. Among the best so far in NYC, it’s great! It had its kinks when it opened, but it has become much better since it opened. I do like that there is lots of seating both inside and outside.

HOLY. COW. This place is simply incredible. I headed over because Beer Finder told me that they had Other Half’s Hop Showers on tap.(Yes, I am a beer nerd.). So I headed over with a friend. It was 9:45 on a Saturday night in Bushwick and so I imagined the place would be an insane asylum of tattoos and beards vying for bartender attention. NOPE. We rolled into the main bar and it was a calm and cavernous open space with plenty of tables to choose from, a big shelf full of games to play, and a full bar featuring 60 taps of some of the best beer in the world. As we hit the bar and got served immediately, we spotted a couple of doors at the back that said, «Good Eats Outside.» My friend and I looked at each other. «Outside you say?» So we took our drinks and moseyed on out into what, my friends, must be one of the most epic outdoor drinking spaces I’ve ever seen. It’s like a fucking football field of paved space, with dozens of picnic tables, a food truck, and all surrounded by incredible graffiti on the walls. Again, the place was very sparsely populated. My companion and I grabbed some food and sauntered over to a table to drink and munch under a big fat late-spring moon. As the night went on, we started to notice more and more people dressed in wild costumes and covered in lights and glowing make up sporadically walking around the outdoor space. After doing some re-con(«Excuse me barely dressed woman with green make up and wings…») we discovered that the event space next door The WIck is attached to The Well and there was a Burning Man party next door that people were kind of drifting in and out of. The costumed throngs mixing with the regular Bushwickians made for a surreal but pleasant confluence of humanity. We stayed until 1 or 2 in the morning and never had a problem grabbing a drink. Everyone we talked to on staff was kind and helpful. It was a great experience. My prediction is that the word is going to get out(Hello Unilocal) how magical this place is and eventually will be the biggest weekend drinking venue in Bushwick. I couldn’t believe how chill it was on a Saturday night. Soon, I’m imagining everyone will be having birthday parties and just huge group hangs here and that the place will be an epic throng of humanity. But for NOW, it’s one of the chillest, greatest, most wonderfully epic places to hang out I’ve ever been to in New York. I’m going back tonight.

This is a new bar with a large array of beers both bottle and on tap. This place is also great for the summer time. It has a large backyard for outdoor get together. It’s like a beer garden. Don’t forget to try their Mac and cheese. It’s so rich and creamy with a bacon crunch.

«Beers a galore» I recently was introduced to this large beer space through a beer meetup group and I was impressed. This place has a HUGE selection of both drafts and bottled beers. As an IPA fan, the Fantasyland IPA is my favorite. They also have interesting food options on the menu. Maybe next time I will drink less and try some food. Eh, who am I kidding :) The space is amazingly HUGE plus there is an outdoor space that is larger than the beer hall in Astoria(the original one), which I am sure is very popular in the summer. The service is fast … Of course this depends on the day. But, my experiences are based on weeknight drinking and the service was grrrrreat. I would assume that this place is packed on the weekends. Ian and Brett are pretty good bartenders with ample knowledge of the beers on the menu. Feel free to ask them for their suggestions. Highly recommended. Don’t be scared and take the L train a little further into Brooklyn for awesome beers.

What. A. Beer. Selection. Brunch was decent — definitely recommended if you’re lacking on places to go. Nights here are awesome. Pretty close off the montrose L stop. Décor is working its way up, as it’s fairly new to the neighborhood.

The best beer selection in Brooklyn. The options seem quite endless. I love Maine Brewing Co. so it was quite a delight to see them serving their Peeper beer on tap, in addition to three tall bottles of their other varieties. You will not see this anywhere else. I went here for the Braven Brewing opening. This place really knows how to run an event. So much space, a lot going on from a DJ to an art gallery and photo shooting connected. People need to know about this place for your Fri/Sat night in Brooklyn.

To clear up any confusion, this place was formerly just doing events but has now opened its doors as a true bar. And it’s awesome: –More beers on tap and by the bottle than I’ve seen anywhere else in the city -«Good for groups» is the understatement of the century. This place is huge. There’s a beer garden in the back that’s the size of half a football field –Two for one deals on half a dozen beers til 9pm every day –The food menu is a beautiful thing. Cheddar beer bread, poutine, bourbon marinated steak, porchetta, garlic fries with pecorino… Legit salads, too –Weekend brunch is just as killer and includes 2-for-1 Bloody Mary’s that are delicious

I would advise you to disregard all reviews prior to November 2014, because those weren’t for real-real, they was just for play-play! The Well has recently opened as an amazing beer place and to say that it is awesome is an understatement. As you may know, I run a beer club and we like to go to venues that have good beer and great service. While doing some research in the field, some pals and I visited The Well and we were impressed from the word«go». First, the space(in an old brewery) is outstanding! It is so cool and I can’t wait to visit out back in warm weather. Second, the management made me and my group feel incredibly welcome. I first met Chris, then Shay and then worked with Josh to set up my beer club meetup and they could not have been more accommodating. Third, the team they have working there is incredible. Ian is a stupendous bartender and is very knowledgeable and personable. Lastly, but certainly not least, the beer menu is PHENOMENAL! So much good beer. When you have a great staff, terrific management and an astonishing beer list, it can’t be less than a five star review.

Great new place! Staff very friendly and I was impressed with the menu options. I got the steak and eggs with a Bloody Mary. A wall full of taps and a wide variety of craft beers. Comfortable and spacious atmosphere. Great selection of top shelf whiskey.
