A pretty divey place with low quality food. I ordered a really simple Beef Pad See Ew and coconut rice. Was so salty that I also needed to ordered a Thai Iced Tea(which was not authentic) to drown the food down. The few pieces of beef on the plate were definitely not fresh, and there were hardly any vegetables — only a little broccoli and carrots for presentation. Should’ve checked Unilocal first before I went. I only went because I was new to the neighborhood and saw that it was cheap from the road.

Service and food was incredible. A $ 16 meal including appetizers and a beverage in Williamsburg, Brooklyn is a no brainer. Thai Iced Tea is a must.

Friday night, excited to catch a movie at Nitehawk with my boyfriend. Until we find out that the movie that we wanted to see, including any other movie we’d consider, were sold out. Plan B? Roam. Approaching Bedford Ave. with 2 Thai spots on the same block, we went with Tai since it was open later than our other options. I went for shrimp pad Thai and the bf opted for some stir fry dish that I can’t remember(fitting for this dish). But I DO remember his dish being quite questionable. It tasted like a cheap chinese food spot in Brooklyn trying to attempt Thai food. Nonetheless, it was edible so he ate most of it. My shrimp pad Thai actually wasn’t bad. I ate it all with no hesitations. I’m thinking this place is inconsistent with the quality of their dishes. Doesn’t help that their inspection grade was pending. I’d go for Chai around the corner and down the block any day. Or try the other thai place next to this instead, but this is nothing special or memorable(in a great way).

Located on the bustling Bedford Ave. in Williamsburg, my friend and I popped in here for lunch on one cold afternoon. The inside décor is dark, wooden, and could be a nice spot for dinner. I ordered my favorite green curry, which comes with an egg roll and rice. While the egg roll was quite tasty(as with anything that’s fried with vegetables), the curry was typical. Average and satisfied my veggie and coconut milk craving, not much to rave about. The portions were enough to fill you up and the service was very efficient. Then again, we were also the only patrons in the restaurant during a weekday 1pm. According to other Unilocalers, the taste is very average and tasteless, but with any Thai restaurant I need to get their Pad Thai before making a final decision. Perhaps the next time the weather is nice I will check out their back patio.

They are lucky they have a fantastic location right on Bedford because this place was packed with quick turnover with people in and out and it’s definitely not because of the food or service. My go-to is green curry with veggies/tofu which is standard Thai and hard to screw up but this was really lacking in flavor. There was some spiciness to it but other than that — no flavor — was the coconut milk watered down? Not enough garlic or ginger? Just very bland. The service was lacking too. Had to change tables a few times because they didn’t know where they wanted to sit us or if certain table were empty or not(the place isn’t big so I’m not sure why they were confused). No friendly demeanor, they just want you in and out.

This is one of those situations where we were hungry and the place looked nice and just walked right in without checking Unilocal first. Big mistake. First we were asked to sit down at a table that clearly still had someones jackets on the seats. After questioning this they directed us to another table to sit temporarily until the couple returned from the bathroom. They then asked us to switch back once they returned to collect their jackets. We were then given menus and we both decided on a fairly reasonably priced lunch special. However, the wait to take the order was way to long. Just as we were discussing weather to leave and go someplace else our order was taken. Then the wait for the food came, which also seemed longer then it needed to be. As we looked around most others seemed to be in the same situation. Finally the food arrived and again Tai Thai failed to deliver. Everything was lacking in flavor. Proteins in both of our dishes was only sparsely there. The meal was edible, but overall really didn’t do much for me. I will not be back. Note to self. Check Unilocal before entering a restaurant.

Excellent Thai food in über trendy Williamsburg. First, the place is small, rustic and romantic. Second, the servers are very friendly and helpful, especially Maprang and Frankie. As for the food, I had the pad kee mao with chicken, which was a huge portion with just the right kind of spice. The spring rolls were lightly fried and fresh. Thai icedbtea was perfectky blended. I had the Sabai Sabai cocktsi with Thai whiskey and basil, and was delicious. I have been to many Thai restaurants in NYC, and this place is among the best. A real hidden gem.

I used to love this cute little Thai place with a once great lunch special. It was one of the first places in Williamsburg and I have been eating here for years. But I had the chicken Pad Thai today and it was a flavorless glob of noodles. In addition, the veggie soup is equally flavorless. It’s just water with a couple pieces of cabbage and scallions. I am still hungry after this order. Also, the lunch special used to be a spring roll, the entrée and a soup or salad. But now, there is no spring roll included. With so little food, you now need to order an appetizer, which makes the deal less of a bargain. Make sure to ask for both lunch special menus as I would’ve ordered something other than the Pad Thai had I known about the other offerings. According to another patron, the Fried Chicken is amazing. But I didn’t know about it. The major plus to this venue is the staff is always fun and friendly. Go, just don’t do the Pad Thai and order extra as the lunch special is not the filling meal it once was.

Kkk

I’ve been here a few times over the years and have always enjoyed my food. Most recently, I went with the tofu/veg coconut soup(tasty) and the tofu/veg pad see ew(also tasty). The service was really friendly and they even let me bring my bike inside since I had forgotten my lock. Very thoughtful! The ambiance is warm, casual, pretty, and a bit romantic. It’s a good date spot but also good for friends.

Really flavorless Pad Thai. Ordered take out from here a couple of nights ago and really wished I hadn’t. Typically my fiancé and I will split two thai entrees if we take out, and we only ordered the Pad Thai from here and couldn’t even finish the one serving. It was totally bland, flavorless and tasteless. It tasted like they forgot the peanut sauce and seasonings — just damp, moist noodles. It is such a shame because we live in the neighborhood and I would love to have this place as a quick pick up Thai, but will never order from here again.

The first I was here I enjoyed it. Decided to come back solely for the red sangria. That sangria was the best part. A friend and I ordered an appetizer and salad to share and 2 entrees. The meat and shrimp on our dishes smelled and def wasn’t fresh. I think from now on I’ll go to my usual Thai place in Bay Ridge.

Nice Garden, Nice starters and delicious sangria. I actually just shared some dim sum stuff, i think fried vegetables and chicken with some asian chili sauce and a tom kah gai, a spicy coconut soup with shrimp and vegetables(which wasn’t really spicy, too bad) with my mum so I can’t say if the real food is good or not. But the waiters are so friendly and helpful, I asked for some spicy sauce with chili for the tom kah gai and they offered me three different things. Thank you for a nice last evening. I absolutely recommend the wine and the sangria, very delicious and fruity. Loved it here!

The food is decent. I had the papaya salad and a beef eggplant dish. The papaya salad has too much vinegar, fish taste and it lacks a bit of flavor. The beef eggplant dish was alright. The rice was a bit hard and the flavor of the eggplant was very flat. I would only go here if I am super hungry and there are no other places open.

Good food, When I went here, The service was incredibly quick. As soon as I ordered it, Boom! It was ready but I guess that’s because I only ordered the shrimp rolls. The shrimp rolls with sweet chili are pretty good and the Thai iced coffee in mason jars.

I pass this place every time I head to work and thought — why not try this place? And I did. And I regret it. Let’s start off with their drinks. I first ordered a margarita(which is my usual go-to drink when trying out a new place) and it taste like a mixture of lemon and … the devil’s piss(whatever that may taste like. but honestly, if the devil’s piss was on the menu, people would enjoy that more. I promise). When I asked the server if the margarita was made with lime(since that’s whats printed on the menu)…she said«no. its lime margarita!!!»(not sure if yelling is apart of her culture, but that bugged me out)…suuureee…a «lime margarita» that just so happened to be garnished with a…(drum roll)…lemon. I returned that and then ordered another drink: lychee martini. It wasn’t that bad, but a little on the sweet side. My entrée was the shrimp dish with peanut curry. The best thing in that dish was the shrimp — which wasn’t all that great. it was just the best compared to everything else. I am probably traumatized and wont try thai food out for a while… or ill just simply walk over the Sea or another authentic thai place. …either way… this place definitely sucked balls… or maybe lemons.

The red curry with chicken here is really good, and the portion of chicken is very generous. There’s another Thai spot that I’ve gone too not too far from here, and the red curry was just as good, but not as generous a portion. The staff is really nice and pretty attentive. Not to mention this location is pretty convenient if you want to hang get here by train and hang around Williamsburg Brooklyn.

We were walking through Williamsburg on a Saturday afternoon and I was craving a margarita. We were initially at Smorgasburg but the line to get a drink was ridiculous, so we decided to venture outside. This place was pretty empty when we came here around 3pm or so and there were a few people getting drinks. While this place looks a little dingy and run down when you enter, I thought«how hard is it to make a margarita?». After all, we weren’t planning to eat here. Boy, was I mistaken. The drinks were horrible — the margarita tasted like lemon water and my boyfriend ordered a Sangria which tasted quite rancid. I would highly recommend trying another place for drinks. The service was slow and the quality of the beverages was terrible. This was probably the first time, we both didn’t finish our drinks.

Also keine vier Sterne möglich aus meiner Sicht.
