It’s weird that I never wrote a review for Tacos Morales Stand, but when I finally made a trip back to Williamsburg recently for some shopping, I knew I had to stop and recreate some memories as this was my typical Friday + Saturday 2am stop. At $ 3 per taco, it’s not the cheapest taco stand, but it definitely is delicious enough to not care about price. I usually go for a chicken, steak, and veggie. Spray some fresh lime on top with the guac they already put on and we’re in heaven again.

Came here a few days ago with a coworker. The chicken burrito was delicious. It’s a bit spicy but super tasty. It’s also super cheap and good lunch option for under $ 8.00 in the Financial District.

It’s a taco truck. The food was great and I didn’t have any major GI Issues. This place is absolutely A-OK! Do I miss Jackson Heights? Yes. Am I going to wander my neighborhood listlessly because I cannot quelch my taco craving? NO! Do I wish the taco was 2 for $ 3? Eh. you gotta take what you can get… That said, the goat meat taco was super! Chicken taco: ok. A little bland, but all good Spicy pork taco: Also Yum Tostado al pastor: Pretty good Torta chorizo: Think big mexican sloppy joe. If you add spice, you will have fire mouth. Worth it though.

This is my favorite taco truck! I work in SoHo, live in Bushwick and I still find ways to stop by this truck at least once or twice a week. I usually make people go with me after a night of drinking too since it’s open late and right by the train. I always get two veggies tacos with everything/spicy and it rocks my world. I noticed that they put two types of cheeses. The cost of these two stuffed to the brim tacos is $ 5.

Beats all the other nearby taco trucks, hands down. Just the right combination of seasoning, sauce, and ingredients. Nothing crazy or evil going on with the sauces, either, which has become more of a concern to me lately and the reason why I don’t often grab cheap eats. Chicken taco is good, burritos are huge-enough for two or a very Hungry Man.

I found their menu on the sidewalk. I was going to spend my last 5 bucks on a soothing cup of tea but changed my mind. I have been mourning the death of Tacos Matamoros on Bedford for a couple of years as the only decent down home Mexican in hipsterburgh. I’ve tried a couple of local taco stands that have popped up in the area and even some overpriced margarita and pomped up hipster mex places. (ok so La Superior is yummy but fuggouttahere with the prices) The guys who work at Tacos Morales are nice and don’t fear guero they habloski the English. They got an older dude who is constantly sweeping around the stand and keeping the chairs clean if you wanna eat a few there. They got all the good Jarritos to start you off. I have not seen a chili relleno taco in NYC before and miss the hell out of them since I moved from Chicago 12 years ago. OK so in Chitown you can get one for 2 – 3 $ at a reasonable place but this is NYC so $ 4 did not seem so bad. Yo my dude this thing was huge! On a yummy oversized corn tortilla that they make… YES…hecho a pinche mano bro!!! On top of a bed or rice with salsa verde cilantro onions and guac sauce. I was wishing it was payday and I was leaving the bar after cashing my check! I plan to check out the menu a piece at a time. p.s they have a restaurant in queens @ 94 – 1337th av. I’m hitting that shit up on my way to LaGuardia to get the pat down this coming Friday. Oh happy day.
