I ordered a hot macha latte with red bean. The cashier put it in a thin plastic cup. The top plastic seal had holes in it and the tea pour all over the place getting my hands sticky. The tea was so hot it bent the shape of the cup. I was in a rush if not I would of asked her to put it in as paper cup. The tea itself tasted nothing like macha. It tasted like plastic with sugar. I only had a sip and had to throw the whole thing away. I don’t see myself coming back anytime soon.

Tbaar is one of the first chain bubble tea store in this community. They kept opening new locations where it was only a few blocks away. Drinks in my opinion are just okay(Not my come to.) The only two drinks I come to Tbaar for their Hot Herbal Jelly and Mango Orange Slush. The Hot Herbal Jelly comes with red bean and bubble topping. The herbal jelly is watery and tasteless but by mixing the red bean’s sweetness it’s just the best combo! The drink slowly becomes a solid texture. It’s like a drink and a dessert at the same time. The hot herbal jelly is only seasonal from November until the end of winter if I’m not mistaken. My summer favorite is their orange mango slush which just taste like orange juice and mango in a slush. Don’t expect too much from their service and it is a small walk in and go store, there is no bathroom.

Been here soooo many times. It wasn’t as famous as Quickly until it left. Then when Vivi Bubble Tea decided to join, battle of the drinks began. The customers were lured to Vivi’s popcorn chicken and takoyaki. Tbaar couldn’t quit so they decided to sell popcorn and put kpop music. Now, Vivi is losing customers since the customers are rather fine with Tbaar. One of those customers is me. =)

Tea is good. Service here is bad. I’ve been here three times, and two out of the three times, the server made drinks for someone that walked in *after* me prior to even starting my drink. It looked like she personally knew the customers that arrived after me. When I mentioned this to the server, all she did was stare at me and then half-heartedly apologized. One of the counters where they prepare drinks was also a mess. It looked like they had made a green smoothie of some sort, and did not clean up… veggies and spilled juice all over the counter. Gross.

I’ve been here twice, first time I ordered a Sagittarius & the second time I ordered a Thai Tea. The Thai tea didn’t meet my expectations, but I loved the Sagittarius drink.

Great place to get bubble tea before grocery shopping in the Asian supermarket! I got the bubble milk black tea(usually called original bubble tea in China) with half sugar, and it tastes great! I like bubble tea with a slight bitter black tea taste and the 50% sweetened original bubble tea from T Baar has it! I’ll check out other T Baar locations to make sure they are consistent :)

It changed a lot now. I used to live near Tbaar so I went there frequently. There bubble milk tea was ok but the problem was that their tea was too bitter. But I still came here because it was a place I trusted. By meaning that it changed a lot, it changed a lot. Since the arrival of Vibi Bubble Tea that had opened near TBaar, they were starting to lose customers. They decided to rebuild their store to make it more spacey and change it. They now sell popcorn, in sweet flavors and they put on kpop music sometimes just to draw customers. They even made the bubble milk tea sweeter.

Love love love all their yummy Bubble teas and fresh fruit smoothies. Ask for the fruit jelly if you try a fruit smoothie. The coconut smoothies are the«Bomb»! Almost as god as Ren ten tea but not quite. They give you a punch card that after only 5 drinks you get one free. Such a deal dahlink!

I love their drinks. Their hot milk tea drink is so good! My favorite cold drinks is the mango smoothie, the green tea passion fruit with no tapioca, and the herbal jelly with red bean milk tea. I like how they have the stamp card thing and student discount. Usually a long line but definitely worth the wait(since they do have other locations like a few blocks away)

One of my least favorite tea spot ! I use to go here a while back when only one T BAAR existed it was great and delicious and cheap but now a small drink is $ 3.50 and it has less taste to it, you can say watered down. The tapioca balls(bubble/boba) is tiny, smaller than other spots like ten tens, Kung fu tea, quicklys & etc. and the service there is mehhhh ! I rather go to ten rens down the block its cheaper and better.

8th ave has a lot of bubble tea spots. This is near the Train Station. And it’s just $ 2 for a ice milk tea with bubble. It’s not bad and the bubbles are super soft. They also have discount with student ID but it only works on Medium/Large Size drinks and it don’t work with special price drinks. They give out stamp cards which is another good thing to lure customers back to them just to get a free drink after the 10th visit. if you forgot to bring your card just ask for another one, they will kinda give one to you. btw, I love their hot herbal jelly with bubble!

T Baar is just too expensive these days. Their drinks are alright. Not anything worth paying around 3.50 for anymore. This place use to be awesome with their cold drinks but lately I haven’t been feeling T Baar much. Boo.

I decided to try this place out since Quickly closed down(wahh). I ordered the green tea milk without bubbles(meh, I don’t like bubbles anymore, they get in the way of me trying to enjoy the drink… especially when I’m really thirsty, I don’t have time to chew!!! And I don’t want to choke on the balls. LOL) The drink was good. I was afraid that it was going to be too sweet but it wasn’t. This spot is very small. Fits maybe 4 people inside. Not recommended for the claustrophobic.

When I was passing by this little store front that is a little bit more than an open shop with enough room for a counter space, I was drawn in by a hard to resist promotion that they were having at the time. Buy one get one free on their menu items. Not that I was thirsty or anything but how can you pass by an offer like that? Especially when you realize how reasonable their prices are. They sell some really cheap milk tea here. The small size goes for $ 1.75 each. I honestly didn’t really expect much based on the price but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s pretty average but average still tastes pretty good so I have no real complaints about it. The tea itself could be a little bit smoother and creamier but the taro balls were pleasantly chewy without being tough. This was the item I had for free. The item that I paid for to get the free bubble tea was a small cup of herbal jelly for a slightly more pricey but still more than reasonable $ 2.25. Herbal jelly, or grass jelly as it is known to some people, is a black jelly like food that Chinese people believe have some medicinal properties and is usually sweetened with sugar or honey and eaten as a dessert. The version that they serve here comes with your choice of black beans or red beans mixed in with tapioca pearls at the bottom of the cup. This was refreshingly good and had a nice mix of textures and flavors from all three ingredients inside. Just be aware that the herbal jelly might not be for everybody because it is slightly an acquired taste. Would I come back when the promotion is over? Sure. If it was just for the bubble tea, I wouldn’t go out of my way to purchase it but I couldn’t think of any reason why I wouldn’t buy it from here if I was already passing by. The herbal jelly on the other hand is worth coming for, especially since it’s a lot harder to find than bubble tea these days. Bubble tea: 3 stars Herbal Jelly: 4 stars P. S. There is a student discount of 50 cents if you show your student ID. Big whoop you say sarcastically. Wow. A whole 50 cents. Just remember that for many students, every penny counts. The only thing that they don’t mention on the flyers advertising the discount is that it only applies to items that are $ 2.75 or more. You can’t use it towards the small sized items like what I ordered for this review.

This is another T Baar Bubble Tea and Smoothie stand in the Brooklyn 8&7 Ave. area.(This place was the BIRLIKMARKET) They are quick with the order and the drinks are satisfying. The store is open-style with no doors so it is an easy walk-up & order to go. I believe there are two more TBaar in the same area; down at 54 St. and 57 St. and 7Ave. (BTW– the girls behind the counter do not like their pictures taken so if you want your bubble tea don’t get them mad. LOL) Don’t forget you Frequent Buyer Card and Student ID for 0.50 savings.
