T Baar is located about two blocks from my house and I have been here several times. They offer a wide variety of teas and smoothies, not limited to the generic types but also venture off into different flavors and combinations as well. The watermelon smoothie with tapioca is legit. Like, real watermelon-legit. What could be better than walking around BK’s China Town with a fresh watermelon smoothie? Prices range from 2 – 3 $ and you get your money’s worth. Keep in mind that there is NO seating here, so you’ll need to grab it on the go. Grab the loyalty card and you’ll score yourself a free drink every few(5?) drinks! Service is fast, friendly and they generally speak a fair amount of English. The décor is really cool, too!

It’s a cute little shack and though I’ve only been once, I’m in love and I’ll definitely go back. It is because of them that I am addicted to Thia Milk Iced Tea. YUMMM!

I love the flavored drinks here! I had the mango smoothie with tapioca pearls yesterday, but I’ve had a wide variety before as well. Notably, the taro, strawberry smoothie, coconut smoothie, and papaya are all good. Best of all, there’s discounts with a student ID and the stamp card.

Im a fan of this place for sure; also im a sucker for places that have tasty passion fruit green tea. Although that probably depends on the person making the drink in question, still they have a good tasteful selection only downside is that they dont serve slushes. This place is up there with share tea, which isnt in brooklyn unfortunately(that i know of)

This is the T Baar location I visit the most. It is a tiny stand in front of a Chinese mall(little shops). My usual is the lychee green tea. So refreshing! I first tried T Baar because of their $ 1.75 bubbletea. I actually like their bubbletea. Very decent tea flavor and not too sweet. The pearls are nice and soft too. I also tried their smoothies, but didn’t like them as much. I’ll just stick with their green tea offerings. Try the lychee green tea!!! Buy 5 get 1 free with the punch card!

Hmm surprisingly good! They give you student discounts so show that old id card! I had a coffee bubble tea and the flavor was a bit frothy and really good. The tapioca a bit lacking but quite chewy and soft.

More locations of T Baar have been popping up in 2009 and 2010. Their marketing tactic is the $ 1.75 regular milk bubble tea that caught my attention. The bubble tea is decent not the best or the worst and ranks #2 for me with Ten Ren ranking the first. They do have those stamp cards when you buy 5 drinks over $ 2.50 you get a free drink and there’s a $ 0.50 student discount for drinks over $ 2.50 What’s special about T Baar is that they make great drinks. I really like the Taiwanese herbal jelly served hot or cold, it’s made up of herbal jelly, red bean, and tapioca. Green tea with red bean and red bean smoothie are also great choices. Since I’m a Scorpio I tried the Scorpio constellation smoothie that was pretty good and they named their smoothies after all the constellations, which is quite clever & creative.
