This has been my go to sushi place for years in Bay Ridge. I learned about the birth of two of my nieces at this place!!! The rolls are always fresh — spicy tuna is a staple for me and I always order it. The avocado is always fresh also and that is so important with a lot of sushi rolls. The eel avocado is delicious as well. With a generous lunch special that runs until 4pm, you can order a roll special, hot food and receive both soup and salad. The salad dressing here is also a favorite of mine.

Sushi dinner was good but dinner entrée was a bit disappointing. Too sweet to eat. I was not asked if I wanted my sea bass over soba and expected rice with fish. Ask for rice if you get miso sea bass.

So this has been a go to sushi place along with Shobu Sushi down on 93rd for my wife and I. The fish tastes fresh. Their hot foods are pretty good like the teriyaki boxes or the udon with tempura. I often go with the sushi sashimi combo so I can get a mix of sashimi and sushi plus soup and salad for extra $ 1. My wife’s go to is definitely either one of the bento boxes(has whole bunch of different things that come in it) or she orders the specialty rolls. I don’t have anything bad to say about this place; it’s clean, it’s fresh, maybe the prices can be a little lower. A box will run you $ 16 before tip tax or drink. Dinner date for two expect to pay about $ 60 – 80 depending on what you order.

Been ordering from this place for more than a year and the food is consistently awesome. So worth the money for food that’s on point every single time. I’ve even dined in a couple times and it’s really clean and the staff is really friendly. Best sushi spot in the neighborhood.

Great sushi but a little pricier than the other sushi spots around here. The fish taste fresh. Nothing bad to say.

What good food and a good price I will always go there. It’s not fancy but it’s nice and very clean. Very good prices too.

This is our go to sushi spot. We love to come here in off peak times, sit side by side, and enjoy beautifully created sashimi platters. The service is outstanding and the presentation is always new, unique, and different. The owner even gave us a complimentary appetizer once. Another time, we ordered take out and waited in the car. 10 minutes later, one of the wonderful waitresses actually brought out the food without us asking. They are very kind, always helpful, and we look forward to the many more times we will enjoy their food. Thank you, Sushi Hana!

A solid neighborhood sushi joint, but nothing particularly special about this place. If I worked in the area, I would come here for lunch or order take out on a regular day, but I wouldn’t come here on a date. Service is quick and attentive.

As far as sushi joints go Hana has come a long way. There are so many such sushi restaurants along this stretch of Bay Ridge, you can count them on both hands and then some. I’ve been back several more times years later and they have improved somewhat. I’ve ordered their combination dinner specials especially when dining here with the family. It’s a pretty good option at $ 17 but really the underlying reason is that it’s easier on the kitchen to prepare and get to our tables quickly. I’ve had the pork, chicken katsu, negimaki, salmon dinners and they all come with the usual suspects, soup/salad, gyoza, shumai, cali roll. The restaurant itself is warm and inviting and never packed. They do quite a bit of business though in the takeout department and that helps quite a bit. In summary, they earned their 3.75÷5.0 with their reliable neighborhood charm, food without a ton of fanfare.

This is one of my go-to sushi places because the rolls are reliably fresh, delicious and orders are made promptly. I also love their lunch specials — what a deal! If you dine in, service is always good and the atmosphere is quiet and cozy.

I live on 86st and hana is the best sushi in bay ridge PERIOD! I’m a consistent regular of their lunch special which is a great deal. 2 or 3 rolls w/a soup or salad for under $ 10 is a STEAL. They have never dissapointed. Customer service is great if you decide to dine in. They also deliver and pickups are an option as well. The interior décor is nice and makes for a nice date-like environment should you have a hot date that night. The presentation of the sushi on the platter is a work of art. They also have beer and mochi ice cream!

I can easily give this place 5 stars. The food is fresh, atmosphere is good, service good, fast delivery. And the food is amazing! I love how fresh the sushi is! Whether you sit in or order out, it tastes great! The first time I ordered for delivery, it seriously showed up 15 minutes later. Fastest delivery to date from anywhere I’ve ordered from. And it doesn’t take away from how fresh the food is. The kids love it, we love it. We bring all our friends and they all love it! Just give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Every since Omiya slipped in quality, I’ve been looking for a new go-to sushi joint in Bay Ridge, and it seems like Sushi Hana fits the bill perfectly. They have pretty reasonably priced lunch specials. Bento boxes are under $ 10. You can also get multi-roll specials as well. I went with three rolls. The first was a spicy jalapeño yellowtail off the daily specials menu. I forget the name, but it was around $ 14 and I uploaded a photo of it. It was really, really good. Each piece was topped with tuna and a slice of jalapeño. There was also the orange mayo sauce on the side. I wish I could remember what it was called because it was one of the best rolls I’ve had in a long time. I also got the two roll lunch special — spicy white tuna and eel avocado(it came with a choice of soup or salad). Both were pretty good, and I especially liked the sauce atop the eel avocado. They held their own as rolls, but after the special roll, nothing could really compare. I also shared two hot appetizers with my parents — the fried tofu and the fried oysters. Both were pretty solid, the tofu being a bit better. Not too fried, but still crispy and hot. Service was great. We came late for lunch, so there were only a few tables occupied. Free WiFi!

Good atmosphere, good music, great food. The service is good, though all of the staff members are quite hard to understand because of their accents — but it’s fine. They offer free rice tea(I dont particularly like it, but my friend did). First thing I noticed when walking in is that the fish in the sushi bar looked extremely fresh. We ordered an assortment of sushi, which took 25 minutes to come… worth the wait, though, because the presentation was the most beautiful I’ve seen, and you could tell that it was all made to order.(We ordered more afterwards and it took 15 minutes). The spicy salmon sushi roll was absolutely delicious — the crunchy tempura crumbles inside are a nice touch — only critique there is that the«spice» is wholly undetectable; the added«spicy» mayonnaise is only wasted calories. Stick with the regular salmon roll and use wasabi if you like. The California roll was very good as well, and the freshness of the cucumber really comes through. The Salmon nigiri was great, and they really don’t skimp on the salmon. Same goes for the tuna nigiri. The shrimp nigiri, however, I found to be a bit tough. The rice in the sushi here is nicely fluffy and not as sticky as it usually is, so it falls apart more easily, but at least you know it’s very fresh. And I did not find the seaweed to be chewy as I normally do at other sushi places. Kudos!

Incredible sushi, the best I’ve found in Brooklyn(and I’ve been to dozens of places)! I’ve moved away now, but I still go here every time I visit – the maki/nigiri on the menu are really something, and the fish is clearly high quality. The only thing I didn’t like as much was their rotating«special» rolls, that’s hit or miss.
